There was an extremely strong chemical odor in the that made it difficult to breathe (asthmatic). They offered another room but that was the same. Not sure if it was from a cleaning agent or what. Not sure who's at fault but when we arrived at the hotel our double bed that was stated on our reservation paper work was not available so we had to share a king bed and get a springlike roll away that was very uncomfortable so the worst night of sleep.

every thing was nice comfortable but u need to put danish for breakfast also. and the pool needed to be heated but other than that it was great we will be back again soon

I liked this inexpensive hotel very much. Pet friendly and no charge for my little dog. Spotless room, cozy. Close to food for dinner and coffee for the am. The only negative was that after all the construction guys hit the breakfast room in the morning, there was nothing left for the rest of us :( But overall, if you want a reasonably priced, clean […] and friendly place to stay on the way from one place to another, this one works just fine. It was convenietly located but there is a lot of construction and the truckers get rolling early - so if you don't plan to sleep in and just need a place to sleep, this one is for you. The breakfast was good and the staff friendly.

Reservation was mixed up. Hotel corrected next day-remainder of week was very good.

the best thing about this hotel stay was the price. it was affordable and only needed for a nights stay to attend a funeral the next day. towels and washcloths were really rough and stained. it was nice to have a mircrowave and coffee pot. refrigerator froze my fresh fruit i put in it. air conditioner worked well which was very good as it was pretty […] warm. complementary breakfast ran out of all pastries and coffee and waffle batter before we got there. a couple cereals in dispensers left. desk did bring more batter but it was a very long line to make a waffle. again, the price was right and we did feel pretty safe there. we did not get to park near our room as the whole parking lot was full. This is the second time I've stayed here. I always get a room on the second floor and it's always quiet. They have new comfortable beds and TV (although there is snow on a lot of the channels). The shower works and has one of those massage settings. There is a breakfast with make-your-own waffles and sunny delight (I think) and there's a Starbucks about […] two blocks away (not my favorite, but what you gonna do in Bakersfield?). I rented a very expensive motorcycle this time and had no problems with parking it overnight. In short, good, no-frills value for your money. Me and my wife booked the Vagabond Inn for two one night stays; one night on our way to Las Vegas and one night for our return from Las Vegas. Although the hotel rooms had no sign of dirt, they were dank smelling ,old and did not appear particularly clean. The first room we has was right next to a long-term renter how was playing acoustic guitar, singing, […] drinking beer and having a great time until pretty late. I found it amusing until he pulled out the electric bass at 1am. We didn't sleep so well. The next morning, we checked out but not before witnessing a shouting match between the hotel staff and a another long-termer. Figuring that first night was a fluke and also not wanting to pay the cancellation fee, we kept our return booking. This time, during check-in, the hotel font door's woman was being pranked by sdomeone on the phone, calling her constantly during our check-in. Instead of a dude with a guitar, there was a group of people hanging out what felt like right outside of our door. We did not sleep so well. This motel caters to truckers so breakfast is from 2 to 9:30 am. The trucks run all night so it can be noisy. There is a shopping center across the road and there are inexpensive restaurants nearby. The bed was not very confortable, the pool is not heated and it is not close to I5.

The room was clean, quiet and comfortable. The staff very friendly and accommodating. It was overall a pleasant experience.

Hotel is located at edge of Bakersfield but again city itself is small. Loud freeway noise but clean hotel

Right off the freeway easy to find. Room very practable and clean

comfy stay. right across the street from a jack in the box,walmart,dennys & gas station.in case you need anything at all.

It was good for the money! friendly staff and good location with great parking.

Comfortable.

Accommodations were recently up-dated; room fresh and clean.

The room was overpriced by about $30.00. The room was on a par with super Eight or Motel6. The quality of the bed, towells and ventilation were not comparable.
