We were looking for a reasonably priced place to stay for one night. This place fit the bill.

Super 8 offers a clean quality room for the best price in town. Convenient to restaurants and shopping, with many attractions in the greater area. You can't go wrong. The staff is efficient and very friendly. Free Breakfast, coffee 24 hours a day, and it's Non-Smoking (Yea!!!).

The room was clean and efficient. Breakfast was great. I would definitely stay here again, it was exactly what I wanted, at a great price.

Very clean ... surprised at the quality of the room and the amazing breakfast for the price! Only drawback is that there is no eating place within walking distance and if you are driving a large truck and towing a car, walking distance is a must!

Love to stay here when coming up for ski weekends to Devil's Head or Cascade Mountain. Rooms are exactly what you would expect for the rates, and while there are no frills here, there were still mints left on the bed side table. Sweet little touch =) True continental breakfast, but they do have a waffle maker, which we never used. Love having a mini […] fridge in the room so we can grab our own snacks from the Walmart nearby. My only complaint is that the pillows were not fluffy, and there were only 2 on each bed. So if you like a lot of pillows, bring your own with you. Definitely staying here again in the future =) Lees meer

The hotel was actually very nice and clean. Employees were polite. My only complaint was that we were able to hear the people above us every time they walked across the floor at 2 a.m. Other than that will probably stay here again.

The hotel and room was very clean and nice and everything seemed like it would be great. But when I tried to go to sleep I couldn't get the A/C to turn off, it would only switch to heat if I turned the temperature up high enough. So it was literally blowing non-stop all night. This caused the air to be extremely dry. I could not sleep at all because […] of it. I was drinking bottle after bottle of water that I had brought with to try to help. I ended up having a terrible sore throat for a few days after due to how dry it was. Located close to the Dells, but without the high price tag of being in the Dells. It was easy to get to all the attractions we wanted to get to. The desk staff was very helpful. We really appreciated the fridge in the room as well as the recliner. We would stay there again if we return to the Dells

Great spot for vacation in the Dells. They let us check-in an hour early which was nice. Free breakfast! Quiet nights. Laundry on site. Next time I would stay closer to the Dells though-- it was about a 20 minute drive to get there, then another 20 to get back..

Very clean and easy, friendly check in. The person at the desk recommended Silver Lake for my kids to swim since this hotel doesn't have a pool. They loved it! The breakfast was good - waffle makers, cereal, fruit and coffee. Just 25 minutes to the Dells.

We drove from Maine to Montana and back. Super 8 Motel in Portage was a much needed overnight stop on the way. Reasonably priced and basic comfort.

So you can tell the hotel used to allow smoking. The corridors especially at that certain smell. The rooms were OK though, clean and had refrigerators. The breakfast in the morning was decent, cinnamon rolls were awesome. So if you are looking for a place just to sleep or stay briefly while in the Dells or something...this works, good price!

We stayed here for 2 nights to get away from the vacation with other family members to come the next few nights in the Dells. It was a nice clean hotel the staff was very nice and the breakfast was great. I appreciated all the help they had.

This hotel was conveniently located right off the highway. The people who worked there were all very friendly and helpful. We were just staying the night on our way to Minnesota. It was great for a quick, cheap stop over.

Facilities and equipment are not fancy, but everything is clean, and all staffs are kind for us. Easy to find Walmart, Gas station, and KFC because they are in front of the hotel.

Good value for the price. Nothing over the top with the breakfast. My room was very clean and the staff was very accomodating. My only complaint was that some people were obviously smoking when I walked to my room the smell was permiating the hallway.

Immaculate room, bath and dining area. Hallways super clean. Free breakfast typical - nothing fancy, but sufficient. Friendly staff. One plus for fresh air lovers - our room on the 2nd floor had a window that opened -- was so nice during a Spring rain to have fresh air. We stayed here to be close to nearby Cascade Mountain, and found the hotel to be close, comfortable, and friendly. The staff was very warm and welcoming, the pool a great way to unwind after a day on the slopes, and the rooms comfortable.

This hotel is fine if you are staying in Portage. I stay here every time I come to town.

The hotel is located 10-15 minutes from the Cascade Mountain. Next door is KFC, Walmart and McDonalds (with a kids' playground). We came to the hotel with the objective of having a clean, quiet and inexpensive place to sleep while on a skiing vacation in December 2011. Our kids -- 6 & 7 yrs old, enjoyed their stay. The hotel was very clean and quiet. […] We had very good night sleep each night. We stayed from Wed. night to Sat. morning. The bathroom was very clean with clean towels. Sheets were also clean. The beds were ok, although felt a bit uneven and we kept rolling towards the middle during the night. The service desk ladies were nice and polite. The hotel offered breakfast each morning from 6am-10am. It was nothing fancy but the kitchen area was very clean and the food was fresh. On Fri-Sat there were fresh bananas. Everyday you waffles (make yourself), cereals, bread, orange and apple juice, tea & coffee, jelly & penut butter. The one problem we had was that on the second day, our beds were not made and trash was not taken out. When we contacted the front desk, the lady said that she did not know (was not trained) in making beds but she would contact the manager and let her/him know about this. So that night our beds were a mess and trash stayed in our room. Next day though our room was cleaned. I will definately stay at the hotel another time b/u for the price you get a clean room, clean bathrooom and breakfast for the whole family. I recommend the place to others. Lees meer

MY HUSBAND & I WERE TRAVELING TO MINNEAPOLIS, MN AND MADE PORTAGE, WI A STOP OVER FOR THE NIGHT...WE WERE A LITTLE APPRENSIVE ABOUT STATYING IN A SUPER 8 BUT THOUGHT THAT FOR ONE NIGHT IT WOULD BE OK....MUCH TO OUR SUPRISE THIS MOTEL WAS GREAT. THE LADY AT THE FRONT DESK WAS VERY PLEASANT AND HELPFUL. OUR ROOM WAS ON THE 2ND FLOOR BUT WAS VERY VERY […] CLEAN AND QUIET. WE HAD TO WALK UP TO THE ROOM BECAUSE THERE WERE NO ELEVATORS. THE ROOM SMELLED VERY CLEAN AND THE BEDS WERE VERY COMFORTABLE. WE WERE UP EARLY THE NEXT MORNING AND BREAKFAST WAS READY AT 6:00 A.M. AS PROMISED. THE BREAKFAST ROOM WAS VERY CLEAN AND ATTRACTIVE. Everything was great nice and quiet and everything you need is right by u less then five minutes away. Their is walmart Kmart and over ten restaurants and walgreens and gas stations.

This hotel is just what you'd expect from a Super 8. There was nothing fancy about it but the hotel was very clean and the staff did a great job getting us settled in. I would stay at this property again when I'm in the area.

The hotel was one of the cleanest hotels i have ever stayed at. The price was good and the people were very nice. Rooms were spotless and very cozy so i would give this whole hotel a 10 out of 10 Its that good.

the hotel itself wasnt too bad. just a couple of issues. such as the hotel smelling like stail cigarette smoke and the refrigerator smelling like fish.but on the other hand the breakfast was good and it was in a convinient location next to alot of stores and resturants.

I stayed two nights and I was really impressed on the cleanliness of the hotel. The hotel management staff are taking care of this hotel in a very good manner. Breakfast was awesome.
