Het hotel Astrid Centre in Brussel is echt een super hotel! Je bent in 2 minuten lopen in het centrum, hebt een veilige parkeergarage en savonds kun je nog gezellig wat rondlopen in de stad of bij een grote fontein. Verder ben je ook zo bij het metrostation en is het dus een prima hotel om er even een paar dag tussenuit te zijn in Brussel.

Wij hadden een prettig verblijf in het hotel. Keurig personeel, nette kamer, ontbijt goed verzorgd en de ligging ideaal voor ons doel.

De kamer was bij het binnenkomen broeierig warm aangezien de verwarming volledig openstond. De airco bleek niet te werken. De receptionist kwam ook op de kamer en kon ook de airco niet doen functioneren. Toen ik een andere kamer vroeg werd dit geweigerd; omdat alle kamers bezet zouden zijn. Er werd me aangeraden het raam open te zetten. Het vroor op […] dat moment buiten; dus had ik de keuze tussen een sauna enerzijds of een diepvriezer anderzijds. Beide keuzes waren niet echt aanlokkelijk... Ik ging daarop naar de receptie en eiste ofwel een andere kamer ofwel mijn geld terug. Plots bleek er toch nog een andere kamer beschikbaar te zijn... terwijl nog geen 10 minuten eerder dit ontkend werd! De airco in de tweede kamer functioneerde trouwens al even goed als de eerste: niet dus. Gelukkig was de temperatuur in deze kamer wel draaglijk en gezien het al laat was besloot ik hier toch te slapen. De spuuglelijke bedsprei (over smaak discussieert men niet, maar toch), vertoonde brandgaten van sigaretten en in de badkamer was al het nikkel van de kranen afgesleten. Douchen moest je met een goedkoop douchekopje dat in alle richtingen spoot... Al bij al een serieuze tegenvaller dit hotel. Dan kan je maar beter bij de buren van het Novotel terecht. Lees meer

The hotel is excellent. Didn't eat breakfast there so can't comment on that. Pillows aren't what they are in the UK, so either take a blow-up one or ask at the reception for an extra. The only negative was the noise Friday and Sat night as the surrounding bars were closing at 3am.

Astrid Hotel gave a very reasonable room - only rate (breakfast and wi-fi are extra). But located as it is close to De Broukere and the Grand Place, it would be hard to find better. Staff were very friendly, cheerful and helpful. Recommended.

The Internet fees is expensive than expected. And the breakfast is more expensive than its value. The location is fine. But I think the Internet fees and breakfast should included in the room price. And another important thing is I am not satisfy with the daily cleaning because I have fine that even though the staff clean the room during the daytime […] but they are not put the new towel to replace the old one, if you would not used but actually it has some unclean things on the towel. Excellent location. Three star that provides you with shoe shine, comb and other things usually found in 4* hotels. Very Clean. Furniture and decor is somewhat antique. Exceellent value for money!

Very nice area, close to the city centre and to metro.

As the price is very descent for one night, you should not expect the most luxurious hotel. But price - quality wise it is a good trade off. I would go here again if i would need to pay for myself.

It does not have tea or coffee making facilities in room and no TV channel in English. It has a good location, is quiet at night, bed is reasonable, bathroom is good and overall is good value for money. The hotel reception staff is one person and they can be overstretched at busy check in and out times.

This hotel is at perfect location in the city center. Close to the metro and Grand Place. I was in Brussels on a business trip and needed something affordable but central. I stayed there before and stayed once again precisely because of its location. The staff at the hotel is fine. They were helpful when needed. There is no wifi. You have to pay 5 […] or 6EUR for 30 minutes. Not convenient if you are in Brussels on business and need access to internet. The rooms weren't perfectly clean. In the room I stated this time (202) there was spider web on the ceiling. The beds were fine. The pillows are tiny so I used both pillows. The bathroom is fine too. Except some bits of hair here and there. The towels were greying. I had a mix of new and old towels. I asked for a non- smoking room and the hotel staff was very friendly with providing me with one. I would suggest to stay at this hotel if you are not too big on luxury and looking for something mediocre but at the city center. Lees meer

The staff were very polite and friendly and helpful.. The room condition: the bathroom was fine clean and nice hot water.. But the room is smelly and furniters are very old.. The worst thing is bed condition the bed is very old and the pillow are very thin not confortable at all! The pillow are just like a folded small towel.. İ asked our friendly Receptionest […] for extra pillow otherwise we were not able to sleep.. Another negative point is when we went there it was raining, and it was metal pipe or like rain drain just next to the Windows the rain sinking from roof and it makes big noise. İt was just like someone hammering a metal, it wake you up all the night! We were quite tired when we left hotel.. So i will not stay here again.. İts not confortable! Lees meer

Nice, clean and comfortable, warm colors, well maintained. well located. Short distance to Metro.

I like the staying. The hotel is cosy and the location is very good - just 5 minutes walk from the Grand Pace. There´s is no free internet services, but that´s common. The point is that I had to pay for internet services, the connection was awful (I took 10 minutes to access and could beraly log in to Face Book and check emails ?!?!?!?!) and the receptionist […] simply said: "I am very sorry, but there´s nothing I can do and there´s no refund" (?!?!?!?). In the middle of everything we found this confortable, cozy hotel at placa de samedi. Walking distance to "everything", nice and helpful employees, safe and clean. We are very happy with our stay and will chose the same hotel next time in Bruxelle.

Great service, and friendly staff. Rooms comfortable with many extras such as hair-dryer and TV. Would recommend for a short to week long trip to the city. Located centrally convenient for shops and sightseeing.

Very good central location. Friendly and helpful staff. Ony problem it's a bit tricky to reach by car, due to road works (late Aug 2011) and one-way streets.

avoid room at first floor during summer, a/c poor need to open window and so expose yourself to eventual robbery.

Never in our lives have we been treated so badly by staff in a hotel or witnessed so many other guests being treated so rudely. The reception staff were rude from the moment we arrived. When we got to our room the shower was broken and so was the air conditioning - we told the staff and they told us we were lying! We had ordered breakfast with our room […] and they told us we hadn't. There were a load of other people at reception also stating they'd ordered breakfast but were not given it. By the time we all produced our booking confirmations showing breakfast had been paid for the dining room was closed and so we didnt get any. Good central location a bit tricky to find the entrance. No luxury hotel, just a hotel. The staff were a bit "unhelpful" and grumpy should need a social training. Breakfast not taken instead we took it in some small cafes just nearby, cheaper and cozier. The Hotel Garage was good but the cost is 15 euros per night. We tried to leave the car some hours […] after checking out but totally impossible and no options given. If you have a car use instead the Parking 58 garage located 50-100 metres away from hotel they charge 14.60 Euros per 24 hours and not per night. The Hotel also charged a "city tax" that was annoying and that we didnt know about before. Lees meer

This hotel was fine but I would never choose to stay there again. It was remodeled but very old still (and not charming old, "Shining" old). The walls were paper thin and I could hear everything happening around me. The sheets were clean but worn so thin and the pillow was so thin even folding it in half wouldn't help. This is not a hotel for cyclists. The evening receptionist, I imagine a fairly senior man, was not helpful.On arriving we asked about hiring bikes. Brussels has a street hire scheme which costs 3 euros per half hour after two hours! We hired bikes the following day (at a very good place close by the Central Railway Station) and wanted to store them […] overnight. The same man said 15 euros in the garage and offerred no other choices. The fact that there are biks stands within 50 metres eluded him. He needs some training in the concept of helping guests. It would have been nice if I was informed ahead of time that there would be an additional city tax that the hotel would collect upon check-in (4.77 Euros). As per the confirmation that I received from hotels.com, all was paid for and had already been charged to my Amex. No mention of additional unexpected charges (taxes or otherwise).

The best thing the Astrid Hotel has going for it is the location. You can easily walk to the Grand Place and the main sightseeing and shopping areas. The lobby is very nice, but my hotel room was not as nice. The bed was old, outdated and extremely uncomfy. There was only one flat pillow which didn't help. There is no air conditioning and the street […] is very noisy regardless of the window being open or not. There is no free wifi. I liked the safe in the room, it was large enough to accommodate a laptop. The room was large and the shower was very nice. I stayed here for 2 nights, and when you don't get a good sleep, it's tough to recommend the hotel. Lees meer

I have stayed here 3-4 times, it is pretty good value for money by Brussels standards. Breakfast is not bad for the price (note you will need a voucher from the reception if you don't book breakfast before midnight - or something.) Staff are generally friendly and helpful, although I can recommend checking the bill for mistakes (always a good idea anyway) […] . I have a slight concern about their data protection, as they will apparently happily give your personal details (home address, DoB, passport number) to the next person who checks in with the same name as you (or give theirs to you), and only then check if you are that person. But they are probably not the only hotel to do that. Lees meer

the hotel is quite close to main shopping streets and only 10-15 minute walk to Grand Place. The hotel staff were efficient and helpful with directions to main attractions. the room was clean and had all necessary amenities needed for a short stay.

This hotel is in a good location to the Grand Place, Mannequin Pis, and central station. The room is a decent size, especially for Europe. Many restaurants are nearby and the neighborhood seems safe.

Other than the surprise "city tax" of 42 Euro the Hotel Astrid was clean large and convenient to tourist sites and train station and metro stops. My room (207) was noisy at night from next door business. I never figured out what it was. The room was large by European standards. I would stay here again probably other than having to deal with Basil Fawlty-type […] character at reception who wouldn't identify himself Lees meer

Astrid Centre Hotel is perfectly located in the heart of Brussels City, near a metro-station and tram-stop.One can easily reach Grand Place by only 10min. walk. In the same time the rooms are very quiet and the guests of the hotel are not disturbed by the traffic and the noise from the streets. So, I highly recommend Astrid Centre Hotel.

Hotel in a good location. A short cab ride or a long walk from central station. It is close to a metro station if you can figure out how to use it. Not much in the way of amenities, but comfortable.

Basic, somewhat dated hotel, with some rather brusque staff. Grand Place walkable from there.

Hôtel tout-à-fait convenable, simple et confortable (bonne literie) dans un quartier calme à seulement quelques petites minutes à pied de la place centrale et des quartiers touristiques. La qualité de l'accueil mérite d'être améliorée (personnel un peu stressé), mais c'est le seul bémol. Pour découvrir Bruxelles en quelques jours et passer des nuits […] au calme, cet hôtel convient très bien. Lees meer
