Imperial Hotel in Galway

Nice hotel and big, clean room. Nothing spectacular but the bed was comfy and free breakfast was nice. People were very loud outside the hotel at night which was a little annoying but otherwise great location in Galway!

The staff was very accomodating. I was travelling alone. changes had to be made to my itinerary. they took care of everything. Would recommend to parents visitng their students in Galway!

This hotel is ideally situated on Eyre Square. It is extremely well situated and very convenient. If you are travelling by bus and don't have a car this is the hotel for you. Service was good and breakfast was nice. Having the choice of an Irish breakfast would have been nice though.

Would rate the Hotel a 2*.

Very convenieint location staff helpful and friendly, would like to be offered a cooked breakfast

The hotel was great and in a great location in the square and next to the pedestrian walway to all the pubs and shops. The room was very clean. It was a great place at a good price. i would stay here again.

Hotel was welcoming and our room enormous! It's lunch time carvery very popular and well supported but did not really act as a hotel lounge which was upstairs. Buffet breakfast was plentiful and very acceptable. The upstairs lounge/rest room had no facilities - bar, newspapers etc other than a tv. The main bar downstairs was almost empty at night but […] with its tall stool and table sets was not amenable to 'relaxing with a pint'. Generally very good for a place to sleep! Lees meer

I LOVE THE IMPERIAL HOTEL IN GALWAY, ITS THE MOST IDEAL LOCATION, THE STAFF ARE SO NICE, THE BAR FOOD/STAFF ARE LOVELY AND THE RROMS ARE VERY CLEAN AND NOTHING IS ANY HASSLE. ITS ALL PERFECT, HAVE STAYED THERE 3 TIMES NOW AND WILL DEFINITELY BE PAING THEM A VISIT AGAIN :)

When we first checked in to this hotel we where extremly satisfied- the hotel is in a great location and is very modern and clean. The breakfast selection was good. But unfortunately we had a terrible expierence with a extremly loud and terrifying disturbance right outside our door at 4 a.m. that lasted for atleast half an hour- won't get into details […] of it, but we where extremely frightened- hearts pounding. After that was over someone came to our door inserted a key and started shaking the door, we literally could see the door shaking, thankfully we had it dead bolted. When we notified the hotel staff of this 2nd disturbance we where told they would look in to it, never where we notified that they checked and everything was ok- which would be the least they could do after such a horrible night. Needless to say we got very few hours of sleep that night, laying awake scared of what would happen next. We notifed the manager the next day who was kind enough about it, but said he needed to get more information about what happened from the night manager and would need to speak with his general manager. We have not yet heard from any hotel staff regarding this expierence. So I have to rate this hotel based of the expierence we did have, not the one we wish we would of- which ended up being terrible. This hotel is in the very centre of Galway with everything on your doorstep.The breakfast was continental style but was very good with warm boiled eggs ham and cheese and for this type of breakfast I would give it 9/10. The room that we had was quite spacious and the bathroom also a good size. The hotel's in a good location, right on Eyre Square, which is why I chose it. With a train to catch at 7am I wanted to be near the station. The hotel was ok. It's nice, but the window of our room looked out on a rooftop and a wall, so didn't let any light in. Breakfast didn't start until 7.30am which was too late for us, and there was no hot water […] in the morning, so I left with no breakfast and no shower. Staff were friendly and helpful though. Overall the hotel was clean, that's the best I can say. But after the nearby, extremely loud bars closed for the night other hotel guests were screaming and banging on doors throughout most of the night. Felt like staff just turned a blind eye to all of it. Wasn't crazy about the parking situation either, but its kind of what's expected in the middle […] of a city. The garage they recommended was blocks away though, and would've appreciated being told that in the material on the hotel itself. Lees meer

The Imperial Hotel was in an excellent location in Eyre Square - we walked from the train station and could walk to all the tourist attractions and shopping. However, the hotel itself felt old, dark and "dirty", even though it looked clean. No shampoo or wash cloths were provided either. Hotellet var nyrenoverat och fint. Dock så skulle inte frukost ingå som framgick på hotels.com hemsida. Personalen hjälpte till att lösa detta på ett bra sätt.

Perfekt läge nära "allt" ! ett bra budget alternativ med trevlig personal.

Standard ikke som forventet. Værelset havde kun lille vindue ud til en baggård. Til gengæld var værelset meget stort. Der var ikke mulighed for at køre helt hen til hotel for aflæsning, parkering langt væk.
