Vlakbij Times Square, beter kan niet. Ideaal hotel ook met kinderen. Kamers zijn prima, geen geluidsoverlast van straatverkeer. Behulpzaam personeel. Echt een aanrader.

Mijn dochter (10 jaar) en ik hebben eind april een week in Cassa Hotel and Residences gelogeerd. Dit naar volle tevredenheid! Het hotel ligt op ca. 4 minuten loopafstand van Times Square, de kamer was niet groot, maar prima voor ons verblijf. Er werd keurig schoongemaakt en al het personeel was uiterst vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Men is momenteel bezig met enkele verbouwingen aan het hotel (waar wij overigens totaal geen last van hadden!) die het hotel mijns inziens alleen nog maar mooier en completer in dienstverlening zullen maken. Wij hopen volgend jaar week een week in Cassa Hotel and Residences te mogen verblijven en raden iedereen die een goed hotel zoekt in New York dit hotel van harte aan.

Het verblijf in het hotel was zeer aangenaam. De kamer was op de 18de verdieping en lag aan een rustige straat. Hierdoor hadden we nauwelijks last van verkeersgeluiden. De kamer was lekker ruim en het straalde rust en luxe uit. De turn-over service is echt geweldig. Bij terugkomst op je kamer is je bed netjes opgemaakt, de gordijnen dicht en de verlichting brand romantisch. Ook staat er een relaxed rustig jazz muziekje op. We hadden een bad met uitzicht op het empire state building. Helaas was het zwembad met de bad nog niet open. De Spa zag er overigens schoon en heel erg lux uit. Guest service en maintenance lossen problemen snel en goed op (verstopt toilett). De doorman / belman service is ook erg prettig. De mensen hadden leuke tips, regelde heel vlot taxi's en passen prima op je bagage of zorgen dat deze naar de kamer gebracht wordt. Wat ik jammer vind aan dit hotel is dat alle extra diensten heel erg kostbaar zijn. Wifi op de kamer moet eigenlijk een gratis dienst zijn. In de lobby was Wifi 2 uur gratis en als je dicht bij het raam gaat zitten heb je de wifi van de starbucks aan de overkant. Ook een ontbijt op de kamer is erg kostbaar maar wel een onvergetelijke ervaring. Het Hotel staat in de omgeving SoHo. SoHo heeft gelukkig voldoende leuke restaurantjes en ontbijt gelegenheden in de buurt.
Ligging.
The Paramount - A Times Square, New York Hotel ligt in het centrum van New York, op loopafstand van Minskoff Theater, Broadway en Times Square. In de buurt bevinden zich ook Rockefeller Center en Radio City Music Hall.
Hotelvoorzieningen.
The Paramount - A Times Square, New York Hotel heeft een healthclub en een fitnesscentrum. In alle openbare ruimtes is draadloos internet beschikbaar (tegen betaling). Dit hotel met met 4 sterren beschikt over zakelijke voorzieningen waaronder een businesscentrum met 24/7 toegang, een vergader-/conferentieruimte en een limousine- of autoservice. Dit hotel in romantische stijl heeft een restaurant en een koffietentje/café. Het personeel kan op verzoek hulp bij excursies/tickets en een geldwisselkantoor regelen. Extra voorzieningen in deze accommodatie in art-decostijl zijn onder andere een conciërgebalie, meertalig personeel en een cadeaushop of kiosk. Parkeerruimte is tegen betaling beschikbaar, maar beperkt. Dit is een rookvrije accommodatie. De algehele renovatie van deze accommodatie is in juni 2009 voltooid.

Elke kamer biedt uitzicht op de stad. The Paramount - A Times Square, New York Hotel heeft 599 kamers met airconditioning die zijn voorzien van iPod-dockingstations en kluisjes in de kamer (ook geschikt voor laptops). Elke 32-inch lcd-televisie wordt geleverd met premiumkanalen via satelliet en betaalfilms. Alle kamers beschikken over een kluisje op de kamer, een gratis krant en een telefoon met directe buitenlijn met voicemail. gratis lokale gesprekken (hiervoor kunnen beperkingen gelden). Bij betaling van een toeslag kan een snelle internetverbinding (draadloos of via kabel) worden aangeboden. Alle bedden hebben een pillowtop-matras met lakens van Egyptische katoen, een donzen dekbed en donsdekens. Elke badkamer is voorzien van een bad/douchecombinatie en kamerjassen. Extra voorzieningen zijn onder andere een haardroger en een strijkplank/strijkijzer. Geweldige centrale ligging in Manhattan. Dicht bij metrolijn. Alleen erg kleine kamer en een nog kleinere klerenkast. Was haast belachelijk, kreeg er niks in kwijt, zeker in de winter als je dikke jas en truien hebt. Moest voor twee personen zijn, was niet te doen. Er was ook niet een haak of oiets dergelijks waar je iets van een jas kon ophangen.

de badkamers -vooral de douches- mogen wel weer gerenoveerd worden, maar de kamers zijn prima. voor wifi op de kamers moet betaald worden, maar beneden in de lobby kan je gratis internetten op je laptop. Dean & Deluca's coffeeshop bij de ingang is geweldig. Heel raar vonden wij het restaurant in de lounge op het 2e verdiep, geen echt restaurant maar […] 2, 3 tafeltjes ergens tussen de skyping mensen, dus echt genieten was dat niet. de locatie is natuurlijk subliem, direkt tussen alle theaters en "het leven van new york city". "Paramount Hotel NY, perfecte locatie"
we zijn 8 dagen in het Paramount Hotel verbleven. De kamer was precies goed met een lekkere ruime badkamer. Alles was goed schoon en werd elke dag netjes opgeruimd. De service van het hotel was goed. Niet overdreven super zoals je soms wenst maar iedereen was aardig en behulpzaam. De locatie is gewoonweg perfect te noemen. na 100 m zit je op Broadway […] en na 2 blokken zit je op verschillende metrolijnen. Enige waar je je aan zou kunnen irriteren is de verwarming die soms wat lawaai maakt. Wij hadden daar echter helemaal geen last. Tis maar net waar je moeilijk over doet. Lees meer

Goede ligging om NY te ontdekken. Hotel netjes, recentelijk opgeknapt, kamer klein ondanks mooie foto's op site. Airco functioneerde niet naar behoren dus gewoon de stekker eruit als je wilt slapen. Verder tov vele hotels een aanrader. Wij hebben er een mooie week gehad.
"Leuke sfeer, perfecte lokatie, wel wat klein"
Prima verblijf. Leuk hotel. Jong publiek. Kamers zijn wel ECHT klein, maar dat is nu eenmaal voor die prijs op zo'n centrale plek. Bed was ook iets korter en smaller dan gebruikelijk, dus geen aanrader voor lange mensen.

They couldn't cool the room to a decent level (lower than 27 c) and the ceiling came down in the form of paint chips (snowing in June). We requested repair services, but they could not or would not provide it and the water coming out of the shower was just enough to spray one body part at a time. The gym was good. We think in general the service level […] in hotels goes down as the location is closer to hot spots like times square, which was around the corner. Prima hotel, schone kamers, raam kan open, alles aanwezig (efficient). Nadeel internet is erg duur .
de locatie van het hotel is zeer goed, vlakbij Times Square, kamer was ok aangezien je in New York niet veel op de kamer bent omdat er zo veel te zien is bij schoonmaken van de kamer wel enkele problemen, de 2e dag was onze kamer niet op slot na het schoonmaken maar er was gelukkig niets verdwenen en de 3e dag was er geen toiletpapier meer maar als […] je er voor belt naar de front desk losse ze het probleem wel onmiddellijk op, het is een budgetvriendelijk hotel in het centrum van New York, prijs kwaliteit ok en de foutjes neem je er da wel bij Lees meer

het is een zeer mooi design hotel, de kamers zeer mooi ingericht, maar wel naar de kleine kant, maar goed in New York leef je niet op je kamer. "Paramount Hotel in New York, mooie inrichting"
Zeer vriendelijk personeel maar erg kleine kamer en lawaaiig omdat de motor van de airco in de kamer staat en ik ook nog eens een kamer op de bovenste verdieping had met op het dak een grote machine voor het hele pand.

Vlugge incheck, genoeg snelle liften, broodjeszaak dichtbij (misschien iets liever iets vroeger open!), proper, lounge sfeer inkom, deur wordt opengedaan door portier, vlugge service: shuttle naar airport vragen. Kamer: propere badkamer, kleine kamer en bed, schoongemaakt op vraag. Aanrader: ligging!!!

Finding a "GOOD THING" these days can get harder and harder. For this reason when you come across a 'good thing" it is priceless. One of the most recent "good things " that I have come across is the PARAMOUNT hotel in Times Square. The first thing that I leave the hotel impressed by is the professionalism and commitment that is demonstrated by the staff. […] Starting with the front desk where I was checked in by Catherine and continuing until the driver which I received at the hotel hands me my luggage at the airport. Catherine followed the details of my visit until the moment I checked out. The only dislike that I had which eventually i got over was the view of the alley where the boiler or some loud machine was placed. I know that from now on I will request a room that faces anywhere but there. If you are going to New York and plan on taking in Broadway there could not be a more perfect location. I love this hotel so much I find myself wanting to travel to NYC more. I cannot wait until my next visit to the PARAMOUNT which I hope will be in the next few weeks. Lees meer

"Close to all the sights"
This hotel is right on times square which is great for getting close access to most of Manhattan. However be prepared for very crowded streets around Times Square at all times of the day and night. Once you get a few blocks away it is not as busy. Otherwise great location and good hotel. Rooms were clean and tidy.

Bed was made, but the trash had not been emptied, carpet not swept, no fresh soap. Room was exceptionally small. Called front desk to report room condition, and could not get through. Went downstairs and told them I tried to call. The answer was we have been busy - too busy to answer the telephone.
"Exceeded my expectations"
I loved the Paramount! Located literally 1 block off of Times Square, I was very close to tour buses and subways. Upon arrival, I felt very welcomed and check-in was super fast. I read so many reviews about small rooms, that I actually held my breath upon entering my "queen" room. Amazing! 2 huge windows made the room feel very open (blackout curtains […] were included and used when sleeping). The space is set up so efficiently, TV mounted on the wall, lighting above the bed and very modern. The air worked great and made the room very comfortable. The bed and bedding was comfortable. The bathroom was a great use of space as well, shelves mounted on the walls, and a space for towels behind the mirror. I had plenty of hot water and great water pressure and a full length mirror behind the bathroom door. At night, I had a great view of the lights from Times Square, but the room was quiet. Elevators were fast, never had to wait. My trip was just as a tourist, so I was only in the room to sleep and shower, but the Paramount exceeded my expectations. Also, the photos from the hotel are very representative of the facility. Hotel staff was very friendly, hotel and room were very clean. Very modern and hip, overall great NY experience. Lees meer
"Not a 4 star hotel"
The suite with sleeper sofa reserved was "out of order" when we arrived at midnight after a full day of travel, so we were "upgraded" to the entertinment suite that only had one bed for the 4 people I reserved accomidations for. Our son & his wife shared a twin roll away because that was all the hotel could offer. The suite had stained carpet and very […] "tired" furnishings. We had to move our bags to the lobby early the next dayand where bothered by housekeeping to do so because they couldn't relocated us in the suite we had reserved until after 3:00... then moved again to the standard Queen room for our last night which was unbelievably small and spartan. Over three nights, we had to call in requests for sheets(none on the sleeper sofa), ice buckets, glasses, and a blanket..of course tipping each staff member that brought what should have been in the room to begin with.With all of the moving, I never did unpack. I would never recommend this property... there are plenty of others in this price range. Nice staff... not well managed...really awful bathrooms and not well kept. Lees meer

The Paramount is a very attractive hotel and has a very fashionable and stylish look. Our check-in was carried out by an extremely helpful, friendly and efficient lady and this could be said for all staff at the hotel....I would not hesitate to recommend it as it is 50 yards from Times Sq and easy to get everywhere from there. It is in a good location for plays and Times Square. But the service was terrible. It took two days and many complaints from me to have my telephone fixed. It took 6 hours to get hand towels. The air conditioning is very noisy, etc.

"very small room but location & price worth it!"
I had seen on previous reviews that the rooms were small but I was still surprised when I walked in the room and there was the bed one step away. The hotel did say at check in that it was the smallest size room with a full bed and that larger rooms with Queen beds were available for an additional fee. We were only there one night so definately not worth […] upgrading since we'd rather spend money outside the hotel seeing the city. We ordered the pricey room service for breakfast and plus another pricey fee for parking overnight and tax (yes, there's tax on parking) ! They did let us keep our car parked there for a full 24 hours which made it a bit better. Needless to say we ended up spending a lot more than anticipated but it is NYC and the hotel's location is awesome! You can walk to the center of Times SQ. in less than a minute and it's in walking distance to so many great restaurants and bus tours. For the price and location, it's worth dealing with the tiny rooms if you'll be out of the room most the time anyway! Lees meer

"Great Location but Mediocre Accommodations"
Our family went to NYC to see a show and booked this hotel because the location was great-within walking distance of the theatre, great restaurants, and sight-seeing venues. However, other than the location, I would not recommend this hotel. We were told it was recently renovated, but that was not apparent to us. The room smelled musty and was extremely […] small. Overall, it didn't seem clean. Even the elevators were dilapidated--one that we rode in had an entire panel missing and splintered wood exposed. Worst of all, it was not price-friendly either. "Fantastic locations but need detail attention"
Great location in the middle of times square NY. Front desk were perky and helpful. Rooms were smaller than expected but this is new York. The thing that I find most irritating is that I found a woman's hair on the bathtub which is a bit of an eyesore. Our room was situated opposite the lift hence its a bit noisy come 5am. I felt a little cheated because […] I need to pay $2 per luggage item for storage post checking out. Other than that, I had a pleasant stay. Due to high occupancy, the lobby can be overcrowded as everyone is using the complimentary wifi. I would definitely consider staying at this hotel given its location and reasonable rates. Lees meer

Great location, clean, friendly staff,
the location was phenomenal, the staff and service were awesome and helpful, and my experience was amazing. Loved it so much, that whenever i come back to NYC, i know where my home is! A+++
