We were invited to New Orleans by friends with only 6-weeks notice. It being Jazz-Fest weekend, La Quinta was the best we could find in our price range. But the festival weekend pushed it to the top of that range, and I would not pay that much to stay here on an average weekend. The location is great--it is easily walkable to the French Quarter and […] close to the streetcar. If you like walking, like we do, you can walk the Garden District also. The desk staff was also super nice and helpful. The room was fine, a bit small for two double beds, but more than workable for our purposes. The bathroom was a nice size, but our tub drain was clogged and slow draining. It was unpleasant to shower in a tub full of water, and the water pressure of the shower was pretty low. Finally, we had a corner room right by the elevator, which made it very loud--both with people talking as the got on and off and with the random sounds elevators make. I booked this on a whim bc my normal hotel I stay in for business tripled its rate due to jazz fest. I had a king room and it was amazing...huge room with a comfy king bed and i have a tempur pedic at home so im picky! Had this great couch at the foot of the bed that the top slid off and laid next to the bottom to make room for a friend to crash and […] that was super comfy too, like a high end futon almost. Had a fridge, big counter to put your stuff in the bedroom plus a dresser and a big bathroom. Everything was updated, modern and super clean. I use hotels about 70nights a yr for work and this place is a gem. Bonus to boot was the very helpful and very friendly front desk staff. Seriously bravo, this hotel was beyond what i expected and I will definitely stay here again. Great rates, perfect location only a few blocks to everything downtown and elevators were quick too! The service was perfect, the location couldn't have been better, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the room was comfortable and clean. I will definitely be staying here again!

Due to jazz festival the selection was limited. My biggest complaint was the quality of the room. There was a rattling noise from the wall and air conditioner. Complained about and was told that it was part of the building and nothing can be done. They did offer a transfer to another room, but couldn't guarantee that the noise wouldn't be present. not very delighted. I expected much better than what I was hoping for

The hotel was OK. The breakfast wasn't so good. Our room door was broken so you could see a tiny bit in the to the room from the corridor which felt very unpleasant. Probably had been broken before. The bathroom couldn't be locked and the door not fully closed. Otherwise it was OK, clean and OK beds. The pool area was in total shadow from 3 pm.

The stay was excellent. The hotel is in the French Quarter is close to everything. My only hesitation is the lack of attention to detail. The food and coffee for breakfast ran out quickly and was not replenished.

We booked this hotel for a 3-night stay to check out New Orleans, after our cruise disembarkation. Because of its close proximity to Canal Street, we were able to reach it from cruise terminal using street cars (riverfront, then canal st lines) w/o problems.. Though we arrived early (10:30am), the hotel staff was nice enough to give us our room right […] away.. The room was standard, but plenty for 3 of us to move around w/o bumping to one another.. The complimentary breakfast lacked meat, but had everything else.. The staff replenished quickly even during morning mobs.. The frontdesk was helpful in directions, tour reservations, and stowing away our luggage on the last day while we did some last minute shopping.. They also got us the taxi promptly so we could catch our flight.. I'd recommend this hotel to anyone who wants best bang for his bucks w/o sacrificing service or convenience.. Lees meer

Outstanding front desk personnel, Arrived before 11 and peggy let us check in. All staff were courteous and professional.

The room was in excellent condition. Practically brand new. I would recommend anyone to stay there. Excellent area.

I always stay at the La quinta in New orleans. It is a great value with a fantastic location. There is free internet, cable, and breakfast. It did seem that the room was a little bit worn compared to the previous years that I have stayed there. I still would continue to stay there.

Hotel was close to everything. Minutes from Canal,Bourbon, and French Quarter area. Very helpful staff for directions and recommendations, easy to get to, parking was a breeze.

Desk serive was excellent, the room was dirty when we arrived, there was paper an stuff under the counter in the bathroom, it was still there when we left the hotel. we had to call the desk for towels and toilet tissue. the floor in the room was never cleaned. overall we where not pleasede with our stay

Reserved a smoking double room...drove all night and since it was a 1 night stay and a 3pm check in time I used the morning sight seeing and walking all over the city. I was very hot and tired by 3pm and was looking forward to getting in my room and showering and resting up for dinner plans that evening. Checking in at the hotel found the reservations […] were incorrect as a non smokiing room had been reserved but the clerk said there was a smoking room being cleaned and by the time I walked the 8 blocks to get my car and came back the room would be ready however she said she was getting off work and advised the person coming in would be glad to help me. I walked in 85 degree heat and got my car came back and this clerk was very indifferent and the room was still not cleaned and toshe said to have a seat and wait 30 minutes...by this time it was getting close to 4 oclock..after waiting I went back to check on the status of the room and the clerk said you cant expect us to have all the rooms cleaned by check in due to late check outs. I advised I was hot and tired and wanted to get settled in but I would wait a little longer. After several trips to the front desk and being told another 20 min each time I finally had enough and asked for the manager..who finally got me checked in and now it was 5pm. I was very disappointed by the front desk clerks indifference and the long wait when there is such a late check in for guests especially when I only had one night in the city. ALso I feel it is highway robbery to charge another 29.00 for parking in addition to the room rate. The room had 2 tiny full size beds 1 wash cloth and bath towel and 1 tiny bar of soap. I have never stayed at a LaQuinta where the beds were so small an average sized couple could not fit on comfortably and the rudness of the desk clerk and the wait for a room after check in time and the sparce accomodiations. I will deffinantly consider other hotels in the area of my future trips. Lees meer

The hotel has adequate discount amenities. Be sure to have your day/night planned ahead of time. There is no concierge. The valet is your best bet for directions or ideas. Get to your complimentary continental breakfast by 8am or else go hungry. No adjoining rooms even if they tell you that they have them. No rooms are connected in the hotel.

The hotel,even though pet friendly,was immaculate.Employees were very helpful and friendly.The free breakfast was amazing every morning-loved those home made waffles! I would definitely stay there again.

Extremely comfortable & safe, 200 yard walk to French Quarter, this hotel is quiet, well run, efficient and inexpensive. Stayed when they were *completely* booked, and the staff had no problem keeping us all happy. Valets will hail a cab for you 24 hours/day. Will stay there again!

Good hotel, good service, close to the French Quarter as promised. We really enjoyed it.

Abdolutly no complaints. Close enough to walk everywhere and close enough to burbon st for a 6$ drunken cab ride back. If you plan on hanging around canal and burbon st your in the perfect distance

This hotel is at a easy walking distance from French Quarter. Hotel is well maintained, the room is large, clean and comfortable. Very good value.

Loved staying here. Big and clean rooms. Carpet and wood floors were nice touch. Front desk very responsive to all problems, including noise complaints. We were put in smoking rooms and moved upon request the very next day. Perfect location and a nice, free continental breakfast.

Room was clean and bathroom was big. Compared well to the JW Mariot in town that I stayed at too. Staff was around and helpful but not super friendly. Breakfast was ok (but free). Internet was free. Location was good. Definately worth the price and good location.

Highly recommend. Nice clean hotel. Friendly staff and great location!

When I saw a room was available at this hotel during Mardi Gras I became excited because I was already a fan of La Quinta hotels. This is one of the newly renovated properties so everything was nice and new and clean. The room was a nice size. The only complaint I have is that I wish there had been a fridge and microwave in the room. Luckily there was […] a microwave in the lobby for use. Also the a/c ran really odd. It was kind of stuffy during the night time and very cold during the day. I found that odd but we managed to work with it. We got impeccable service and the continental breakfast provided is delicious with a lot of variety. It's a great way to save money on food while you're there! I would definitely stay there again. The LaQuinta Inn French Quarter is a WONDERFUL place to stay. My husband and I checked-in in the wee hours of the morning and the staff was more than accommodating. The lobby, elevator and hallways were nicely kept. The valet parking was definetly a plus!! We called ahead of our departure time and our car was waiting for us as we exitied. Employees were very nice and knowledgeable about the surrounding area. We arrived early and our room wasn't ready. They gave us a free upgrade!! I would definitely stay here again.

The hotel staff were great! The room was very clean. The beds were extreamly comfortable. I am now for sure going to purchase a memory foam matteress. The only problem that we had was the water was way too hot for a shower. But that will not keep me from staying there again. On my next trip to NO I will stay at La Quinta!!
