Afgelopen maart (2012) heb ik met mijn zoon in het Harbor Plaza Resort City geslapen. Het is een prima en schoon hotel. De afstand naar het centrum is een dik half uur. Maar het hotel heeft een shuttle bus. De kosten hiervan zijn ca. 2,50 voor een enkel ritje. Ook vanaf de luchthaven kun je met een shuttle bus van het hotel naar het hotel komen. Kosten hiervan zijn 10,00 euro. Duurt ca. 3 kwartier. Prima geregeld dus. De kamer is schoon en de grootte viel me niet tegen. Goede badkamer met ligbad en douche in het bad. De bedden zijn wel kei hard. Dit hotel is aan te raden maar let wel op de afstand naar het centrum toe. Je gaat niet even snel vanuit het centrum terug naar je hotel en dan weer naar het centrum toe. We kunnen het hotel niet vergelijken, aangezien we voor de eerste maal in Hong Kongen op bezoek gingen; alleszins adembenemend zicht op de haven vanaf onze kamer op de 62e verdieping (hadden gevraagd zo hoog mogelijk te liggen) Ligging in de New Territories, doch wegens aanwezigheid van de werkelijk sublieme metro-lijnen en de goedkope taxi-service geen enkel probleem om alle interessante plaatsen in Hong Kong en Kowloon snel te bereiken; ontbijt nogal Engels-Aziatisch maar dat is begrijpelijk natuurlijk; mooi-ogend design in de badkamer niet altijd praktisch maar voor de rest prima kamer met kluis

goed hotel, eenvoudig te bereiken vanaf vliegveld met shuttle, spreken goed Engels, internet in lobby is snel en gratis, op kamer is wireless voor klein bedrag ook erg goed. Kamers zijn wat klein, maar voorzien van een heerlijke douche.

Het ligging van het hotel is wel afgelegen maar met openbaar vervoer is goed te doen. Het Tsing Yi shopping mall is niet zo ver van de hotel met de mini bus kom je in 5 min. bij de shopping mall.

Dit was de 3de keer dat ik in het USA hostel verbleef. Ik raad mensen aan als ze kamer 509 krijgen aangeboden proberen een andere kamer te nemen. De airco (Buiten) hangt onder een lekkende rioleringspijp wat stank overlast geeft als men de airco aanzet (behoorlijke last). Andere kamers zijn goed voor de prijs die er gevraagd wordt.
Ligging.
The Langham, Hong Kong ligt in het centrum van Kowloon, op loopafstand van Harbour City en Nathan Road. In de buurt bevinden zich ook Wetenschappelijk museum van Hong Kong en Temple Street Night Market.
Hotelvoorzieningen.
The Langham, Hong Kong heeft een healthclub, een buitenzwembad en een sauna. In openbare ruimtes is een gratis snelle internetverbinding (draadloos en via kabel) beschikbaar, terwijl de accommodatie over een computer met internetverbinding beschikt. De zakelijke voorzieningen bij deze accommodatie met 5 sterren zijn onder andere een businesscentrum met 24/7 toegang, een vergader-/conferentieruimte en een limousine- of autoservice. Dit hotel in luxe stijl heeft een restaurant en een bar/lounge. Het personeel kan op verzoek een huwelijksservice, evenementencatering en bedrijfsgerelateerde dienstverleningen regelen. Extra voorzieningen in deze accommodatie in Victoriaanse stijl zijn onder andere een conciërgebalie, meertalig personeel en een cadeaushop of kiosk. Gasten kunnen tegen betaling gebruikmaken van een shuttlebus van en naar het vliegveld op geplande tijden. Parkeerruimte is tegen betaling beschikbaar, maar beperkt.
Hotelkamers.
Elke kamer biedt uitzicht op de stad. The Langham, Hong Kong heeft 495 kamers met airconditioning die zijn voorzien van een minibar en een kluisje op de kamer. Elke 37-inch flatscreen televisies wordt geleverd met kanalen via satelliet en betaalfilms. Elke accommodatie beschikt over een bureau, een gratis krant en een telefoon met directe buitenlijn met voicemail. Een gratis snelle internetverbinding (draadloos en via kabel) is beschikbaar. Elke kamer is voorzien van een waterkoker/koffiezetapparaat met gratis mineraalwater. Elke badkamer heeft een afzonderlijk bad en een afzonderlijke douche met een handdouche, een weegschaal, kamerjassen en make-up-/scheerspiegels. Extra voorzieningen zijn onder andere pantoffels en een haardroger. Daarnaast wordt 's avonds een turndownservice geboden en is een huishoudservice dagelijks beschikbaar. Op verzoek zijn voorzieningen als massagebehandelingen op de kamer beschikbaar.
Afhankelijk van het hotelbeleid kan voor extra personen een toeslag worden aangerekend.

"Perfect"
Nothing to fault with this beautiful hotel which has the most beautiful floral aroma in the lobby. Staff go out of their way to help and are most professional. Location wise it is close to the harbour, Nathan road and the MTR. We did not tell them it was my daughters birthday but they left a beautiful cake in the room complete with candle and matches. Found the hotel conveniently situated, condition of the room was poor (Shower Drain was blocked and telephone system did not work - service did repairs these after complaint). "In my memory forever"
The Langham hotel is so stylish, friendly and welcoming. Looked after by all that I came into contact with. While waiting for my lunch to arrive, the waiter very kindly brought the paper over to me. To think that he actually considered the fact that I was on my own left me overwhelmed. The hotel is close to the Star Ferry and Nathan Street. If you wander […] the back streets off Nathan you will find another world....not all glitz and glamour. The Langham Club is also great as the dining room is small and civilised. My wife & I spent 3 wonderful nights in Langham Hotel. Our room, 942, did not face any great view but the interior was just superb. Room was very clean & spacious. So was the bathroom within. The big bed, pillows & the cool environment allowed us to have a good sleep every night which was very important for us as we walked a lot in the day. Every evening […] someone would place on each bedside table a small pink "Good Night" box of chocolate, and a card giving the weather forecast for the following day. This was a nice little gesture and we were really touched. The location of the hotel is very good. 2 mins' walk out of hotel you will face the swanky Harbour Citywhich is very big and has lots of upmarket shops displaying well known brands of bags, clothings, watches, shoes, etc, etc. Next to it is the China HongKong City, another shopping mall. The Ferry Terminal for folks going to Macau is housed within this building. Ferries run at 30 mins' interval and it takes an hour to reach Macau. Tsim Sha Tsui MTR station is within 5 mins' walk from the hotel. From this station, you can visit many places in Hong Kong island, in Kowloon and the airport. Places of interest, such as the Avenue of Stars, HK Space Museum, HK Cultural Centre, etc, are also within walking distance. In short, staying in Langham Hotel is certainly a very good choice - hotel staff are efficient, professional helpful and caring, wonderful room and services, and great location. Lees meer

"The Langham in Hong Kong.....Superb"
Staying at the Langham as a sole traveller I was made to feel very welcome and truly looked after. The staff assisted in train booking to China, taxis around town and always a warm welcome on ones return. The atmosphere was always one of happiness and the staff always seemed to pre empt my requirements.

"VERY CONVENIENT FOR CRUISE"
Close to the cruise terminal...we were able to just walk the block to the hotel after the cruise. Rooms were excellent. Most important, the staff was top notch...EVERYONE was extremely helpful, professional, and friendly.

Great hotel to stay and fantastic service! They made our stay very memorable. The hotel is also located centrally with convenient access to MTR. Especially for Indian vegetarians as there are couple of good pure veg restaurants within walking distance from the hotel.

On check-in it was noticed that my birthday would be held during our stay at The Langham and then on the day I was surprised with a birthday cake and card in the room!! Room was upgraded. Super location. Knockout Cantonese Restaurant. Great staff. Super hotel that we would recommend to anyone without hesitation. A top 5star hotel without the cost of some other alternatives (some of which we've stayed in previously) and we thought real value. Really couldn't find fault. Highly recommended.

"Class hotel in busy interesting Kowloon"
Only my second time to stay in a five star hotel. The price would normally be outside our range I only stayed as it was paid as part of a business trip. The price on hotels.com was reasonable for the high standard of accommodation provided. Food was very good, the room comfortable and spotless, be super and the staff very attentive. The area was interesting […] and full of life. Only downside the extra charge for internet access - can't understand the rationale for this as previous 4 and 3 star hotels I have stayed in have all provided this free of charge. However it seems to be something quite a few 5 star hotels do! Overall a very pleasant stay. One tip: There is a rear entrance where we were dropped by the schuttle bus. This was down a stairs from the main lobby, there was no lift and the area was not staffed. It would have been a bit of a problem if one of the staff had not been passing and immediately noted our predicament and called someone to bring our bags. Best avoid this entrance. Lees meer

"Langham is perfect except for one small detail"
The Langam is outstanding - even the concierge was the most effiecent we have come across - booking restuarants and offering advise. The only small thing missing is WiFi - you need to connect via cable in the room and pay for it. Also there was no way to download on an iPad using WiFi - we and to go to Starbucks for a coffee to download on the iPad. My recent stay at Langham was my first and based on previous positive comments. I agree with other reviewers that the location is excellent if you are staying in Kowloon - Tsim Sha Tsui. MTR access is across the street via the One Peking Building basement, understand that you still need to walk underground to the actual TST station but it's only about […] 5 mins or so with moving walk ways for some sections. If shopping is important, Harbour City is also a short 1-minute walk as well as Nathan Road in the opposite direction. While this hotel is an older property, the maintenance is very good and all public area's were very clean and well presented. The rooms were also well appointed, comfortable and good sized for for HK. Beds were comfortable and linens / towels in good shape. House keeping was very efficient and not noticed unless you need them. Breakfast buffet was fine with a good selection of both western and asian food. My only issue, which was a minor one is that we arranged for late check out at 1:00pm and the room keys went "dead" at 12:00pm (normal check out), which took an additonal 10 minutes to sort out calling and running up and down to reception. I mistakenly assumed since we arranged for late check out the night before at reception the locks would have been programed to remain valid until 1:00pm or at minimum the front desk staff would have said something at the time arrangements were made. Minor issue if you're not pressed for time, inconvenience if your are pressed to make a scheduled appointment. Overall a very plesant stay and I would definitely stay again and recommend to others who are looking for accomocation near shopping in TST. Lees meer

Wonderful hotel, excellent and very helpful staff. Right next to MTR entrance, so if like me, you prefer to get to key parts of town in the airconditioned convenience of underground (and avoid the hustle and bustle and humidity outside this time of year) then perfect location. Wonderful hotel close to ferry's and all sights. We stayed for 2 nights before our amazing cruise. Could not have picked a more perfect hotel. We upgraded to the Club level and this was well worth the extra money. Food, drink and service was the best we have ever had in a hotel. Walking distance to port where we boarded our ship.
