Holiday Inn Express Civic Center in Roanoke

Perfect location to get to the Civic Center. Clean, comfortable, great breakfast. Will stay here again.

We stayed one night at HIE Roanoke. It was very clean, friendly people, and the breakfast was good. The biggest downfall was coming off the exit and trying to get into the left lane to cross over to it. Otherwise, this was a very nice place and convenient to shopping, civic center, and downtown.

We stayed here the night we were attending a concert at the Civic Center. We could walk from the hotel to the concert, avoiding parking hassles and crowds to and from the concert. The staff was exceptionally friendly and the room was very comfortable. Would definitely stay here again when attending events at the Civic Center.

Overall hotel experience was good. Bathrooms were super clean and well stocked. Main room was nicely kept, no physical defects and very clean looking. Great flat screen tv and also had a mini fridge and a microwave. The only thing was a slight odor on one side of the room my girlfriend complained about. I felt maybe it was something they cleaned with […] like bleach or ammonia. other than that breakfast was premanufactured but better than some places I've visited. Overall satisfaction 4 Lees meer

it is a good hotel. it would be nice if the workout center was inside the hotel. breakfast was great. The desk attendant was very helpful

My business trip which had been scheduled in Roanoke was cancelled so I called to see if I could cancel my reservation or get a refund. The hotel refused either. I have been in the same situation before, and other hotels have at least given a credit. I am highly disappointed with this hotel's policies and would never recommend anyone to stay there.

Hotel was busy when I arrived with a bus trip with teens hanging out in lobby. Front desk person was nice but forgot to give me a key, was overwhelmed. The lobby was passable but not as nice as other HIE locations. Room was clean and comfortable, TV was modern, quiet room. Breakfast was crowded in morning with same teens so I had to get outside breakfast. […] Small area for breakfast. Overall is was ok. Not much to do or see around the area. Older HI-Express. Convenient to Downtown Roanoke. Well-Lighted parking lot in quiet neighborhood with little traffic noise. Only problem was a noisy Air Conditioner that couldn't be fixed during night. Breakfast area abit crowded in A.M. but food was plentiful and varied. Fair value thru Hotel.com.

I was attending a conference that I had been forced to book late to at the Hotel Roanoke Conference Center. No rooms available so I stayed at this HIE. It's about 2 minutes from the conference center and the downtown area - right off the interstate and very convenient to get to. Great value.

The pool area was very nice and clean. The pool itself was quite small, but my nephew enjoyed it. I could not swim laps or exercise on site, but they did give passes to the YMCA which was right across the street. The breakfast bar was great. It was very clean and the food was hot (or cold if it was supposed to be). It offered lots of variety and allowed […] for early birds and later sleepers. Stayed overnight for business. Had trouble getting internet access and girl at front desk was very helpful in getting me on line. Also allowed 1 hour late check out to accommodate my business meeting. Very nice, clean, nice breakfast buffet and very friendly staff. .

Clean, comfortable room, full hot breakfast, free parking.... This hotel was conveniently located to downtown and interstates. We'd go back for the delicious warm cinnamon rolls at breakfast. They were perhaps the best we'd ever had!

When I arrived the girl from the front desk was very nice and so was the hispanic lady during breakfast. The hotel is 2 minutes from downtown, very convinient.

such a pleasant stay, rooms clean, beds comfortable, staff very friendly and helpful. will stay here each time i visit.

Decent hotel, you know what you're getting with Holiday Inn Express. Rooms were spacious and clean. The only drawback is there was no fitness center. You have to use the YMCA across the street.

positive experience - nice place - nice people - breakfast was very well prepared and made the start of the day easier. Good access to freeway and close to downtown Roanoke.

While the hotel was adequate, it did not meet my expectation for quality or friendliness given its rating; The staff was more interested in talking to each other than being friendly to the customers. Items in the room were poorly maintained. Overall, an extremely disappointing experience.

We started with hot chocolate chip cookies waiting at the desk and a very nice employee behind the desk. The next morning we were greeted by a very nice breakfast assortment and another very nice employee behind the desk who was able to answer all our questions. The room was very clean and nice althought some minor repairs were needed. My only problem […] was the bed was a little hard for me but the wife loved it Lees meer

We were very pleased with the pleasant attitude of the employees of the hotel. They were always very curteous and greeted us with a warm welcome. We would recommend your hotel to others anytime. Thank you for a very pleasant stay.

There was some noise coming in from the road, but on the whole it was quiet and comfortable.

My sister and I stayed here for the Keith Urban and Dierks Bentley concert and it was GREAT! The area was nice and it was very close, about a block, away from the Civic Center. There was someone available and you were not bothered like some hotels first thing in the morning. Although you could hear people in their rooms while walking down the hall, […] the only thing you would hear in your room was the sound of running water. It was perfect.
