Days Hotel Broadway in New York

Pretty ordinary, nothing great or terrible about the hotel. The elevator was very slow. Wireless was only available in the lobby. Very convenient location to the 96th Street subway stop and a Duane Reade is right around the corner.

The location of the Days Hotel Broadway was great for getting to Columbia in one direction and downtown in the other. The room was clean, but somewhat dilapidated. I was diappointed in the lack of wifi in my room (only available in the lobby) and the old TV had only local channels (no ESPN, for example). Overall, we enjoyed our stay. Except for one maintenance person, the staff was VERY friendly and helpful. The doorman, Ronald, was so personable and helpful, a true asset to the team. The room was cleaned daily, which I was not expecting. Great hotel for weekend stay with children. Close to subway station. Good neighborhood (residential). Rooms are not a bad size for New York City. Full bathroom. We did not spend much time at the hotel, but the beds were comfortable and the bathroom is good. Carpeting and walls could use updating.

Before checked in in Days hotel I was 3 nights in a Hotel in 7Av nearby Times Square. So I did enjoyed my stay in Days hotel because the service was good, there was wifi in the lobby and rooms were very clean. Only the bed is too soft for my taste. The location is not the best in NY, but closer to the subway lines 1,2 & 3. There are many options of […] restaurants in the area and you can check it out how New yorkers family live. Most of locals around have dogs and babies! Just pay attention to the airport Shuttle service sold by the hotel. They need to collect other guests in other hotels. I needed the hotel for a business weekend. It served my needs perfectly EXCEPT for the fact that the WiFi in the hotel did not work. I have to go across the street to a corner cafe to use my internet. A bit inconvenient. They should look into that. But aside from that one thing the hotel was fine!

The pictures on the website make it look nice and decent but this was the worst hotel stay I have ever had. NYC is very expensive so I can't hold that against this hotel. The room was located in the stairwell so to access the room you had to go to the emergency stairs and your room was right there...? Very strange! I was supposed to have a king size […] bed and it was a queen or a double definitely not a king! The bathroom was like a narrow hallway barely any room to move around. The floors looked very dirty I didn't even want to put my dirty laundry on the floor. The elevator was very old and when you pushed the button to go down you went up. This is a great location for visiting NYC-- specifically, very close to Columbia without the high price tag of many hotels near the campus. Also, this is very close (1 block) to a stop on the red line of the subway-- so, extremely easy access to all other areas of the city. I would stay here again absolutely ! I'm from DC so im use to a more luxurious stay. But needless to say that I was satisfied with this hotel. They were clean, the front desk was nice and even though the room was kind of small, the overall hotel was NY style. I would definitely recommend this to people who are looking for a bed and shower and be out […] the rest of NY. Its about 15 min away from time square on the metro. Condition of hotel in general is terrible. My remote to the TV did not work......the phone did not work....it had dials to reach housejkeeping and the front desk but they did not work. Not until I went to the front desk to ask did I learn that the only way to use the phone is to dial zero......that is ridiculous.......

Perfectly fine for a budget hotel. As always, you get what you pay for. It is pretty far up on the upper westside, but right next to the express 2&3 subway trains. My wife and I have stayed here a number of times. We love the location and access to the subway(only 2 stops to Times Sq,3 to Penn Sta using the express). Gave us an early check-in upon arrival. Very accommodating.

we got no rest the last night due to security banging on the door at 9am. and guest service calling and waking us up. checkout at 11 they could have waited.

Small room (about 3 m x 3 m), uncontrollable heating. Poor elevator systems. Excellent location !.

However, a little down on upkeep; vending machines on fritz and had trouble locking my door.

I loved the fact that his hotel it right by the train, many different places to eat. If you want a fridge you can get one. And the deal was great. I live in manhattan but wanted a lil get away and I think I was pleased. The only two thing was it said cable on the site but it was only public access and channels 2,4,5,7,9 & 11 and the food network I was […] shocked. Than the bed is pleanty worked. A great two star Hotel. We have stayed at this Hotel many times. This site gave us the best rate we have ever had. We like the neighborhood. It is close to the subway. Nice places to eat close by. The staff at the hotel is exceptional.

Staff was great. Professional and courteous. Nice room. Clean, comfortable. Location right near subway, buses and other transportation (taxis).

Yeah the room and bathroom were small but everything was really clean, the front desk help and bellmen were super nice, and best of all the location was perfect! The subway was around the corner, central park and museum of natural history were in walking distance and there were plenty of bars and fun places to eat around the hotel.

The manager says they're addressing the issues I had here, but until they do- BUYER BEWARE! They advertise cable TV- not so. They get the local stations ONLY. They also advertise wireless internet throughout the hotel- NOT TRUE. They have wifi throughout, and you CAN connect to the wifi network, but it isn't connected to the internet. The only place […] you can actually connect to the internet is in the lobby. The rooms are in need of updating due to old (and stained) carpeting, having to wait 10-15 minutes for hot water (I was on an upper floor), a radiator that wouldn't shut off, and even when turned off by maintenance a room temp that was always in the 80's. The area was great- lots to do and see, great restaurants, subway steps from the front door, and a safe enough feel to not worry about walking around any time of day or night. If the hotel itself was in better shape, and was 'as advertised' this would be a real bargain. Lees meer

We stayed 10 nights and it was every day very clean. The subway is on the next corner, and although it´s on the Broadway on Upper West Side, it´s very quiet. We were very happy, we get a nice price and for New York it was very cheap. Unfortunately there is no internet, only wifi, but for internet you have to go to starbucks (in the "business center" […] (a little room with 3 computer) were internet, but 2 Dollar for a half hour was to expensive and the front desk can´t change money). I booked this hotel for our film crew for a nearby event. We stayed here for 6 nights, Thursday to Tuesday. The Good: - Was offering a 35% discount for their room rates. - Just a step-away from the 96th St. West 1-train station on Broadway. - The cafe across the street (94 Street Cafe) was open all day/night and had everything you could want. - […] We got city street parking right in-front of the hotel for Thursday-Sunday without paying anything. This was pure-luck. - A lot of schools and residences in the area, so it was fairly quiet all the time. The Bad: - Unadvertised renovations going on in the hotel. - Heating radiator was turned to full-blast. We had to put the A/C on which ended-up totally drying out the room to the point I woke-up dehydrated and my nose bleeding. - Toilet could flush only once every 10-minutes. - Shower had 2 temperature settings, hot and boiled. - Wi-fi router in our room wasn't set-up so we didn't have internet the entire stay. - Elevators are incredibly slow (average of 3-5 minutes to get an elevator). - Only 3 TV channels, 2 in Spanish. - In-room phone didn't work properly. - In-room safe was locked when we arrived, had to get maintenance to fix it. I was pleasantly surprised by the room that we occupied. It was comfortable and clean. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

This was my first experience at this hotel. For the price and location it was worth every cent.

The hotel is located near to Central Park. We spent a wonderful time in Central park every day after we visit other attractions of New York.

I stayed in this hotel for two days. It was cheaper hotel I founded around the Central Park. It is close to Broadway Ave and subways. However, the staff who help us to check-in was rude. It was a nice room, but the bed it was not clean enough. I recommend if you will stay for couple days and are not looking for comfort.

You get what you pay for, don't expect much help if you need anything from the front desk. The only thing that it had going for it was it's close to the subway. I would recommend spending the extra money and stay elsewhere.

every staff member was helpful and friendly. the room wasn't great, but it was clean and i was there to see the city, anyway. the location was perfect; near subway, many restaurants, stores, etc. i would definantely stay there again.

This hotel was very conviently located the subway is just 1 block away. The hotel staff was very pleasant. However it is bare bones accomadation, nothing fancy. I would reccomend the cafe across the street, good food and good prices. I would stay here again in a pinch. but would prefer a more upscale hotel.

The location of this hotel is unbeatable for the price we paid. Very happy with the room and bathroom - particularly shower - cleanliness and space. bang for your buck I choose this hotel more often than most others for that very reason. dont expect the ritz but you get what you pay for and with this one I am overall happy.

For the price that we paid we expected quality service. We had organised a King Room and the hotel was meant to be a treat for us. We arrived before check in and the hotel offered to look after our luggage but did not offer to carry it for us. They also refused to have it delivered to the room. The room had an old TV - no flat screen TV's at Days Inn. […] The curtains were held back with velcro. The plug hole around the bath tub was rusted but worst of all, the radiator was obviously not screwed in correctly and made the sound of a screaming kettle every 10 minutes when the radiator boiled. The reception sent up a maintenance man who's only solution was to turn the heating off and give us a 5 fin oil heater - in January! Reception assured us that every room had the same sounding radiators. We strongly recommend AGAINST staying here. We found much nicer privately owned hotels closer to central park and the subways after we checked out. Lees meer
