The Westin Portland in Portland

Luxury stay, very helpful staff. Very welcoming and they were eager to meet our needs.

I was there after getting a medical procedure done and the hotel service was awesome! We had no problems. Very satisfied. Very professional.

This hotel is very nice. It has loads of amenities and it is in a great location. However, I called up a week in advance to order my wife champagne and chocolate for her birthday. When we arrived the front desk agent said "I see it's your birthday tomorrow" but the hotel never brought the champaign and chocolates I ordered. Hotel staff was VERY friendly and helpful. Made us feel like valued guests not just customers.

I have stayed at many hotels in downtown Portland and while this hotel has a good location and the rooms are overall very nice the noise levels is really bad. The connecting doors and lack of insulation created very high noise levels as you could hear your neighbor very easily. You could also hear everything that was going on in the hallways even with […] people walking by. Third trip to Portland. Previous two trips decided to try independent boutique hotels. While they had some charms, they also had some lacks. This trip, based solely on business decisions, I stayed at the Westin, and it was a sound choice. I have been staying in Westin Hotels for years, and I love the beds. I pick Westin for most of my vacations so I can get some good sleep. This hotel however had the worst bed ever. it sagged to the middle and was completely uncomfortable. I was very disappointed.

We booked the Westin for a Friday night stay. We chose the Westin, due to the fact we had never stayed in one and wanted to experience. Loved the location and atmosphere. It would have been all 5's except for two very minor issues. The glass shower door was very difficult to close. You had to pull with both hands to try and close the door. When you […] did get it closed, it slammed and you thought you might break the door. The second minor issue was the room was very clean, except for the glass top on which the TV sat. Hotel is walking distance to downtown, The Pearl, China town, Old town, and more. I stay here every trip to Portland. Close by restaurants abound.

The Westin was beautifully decorated. The lobby was warm and inviting, with a touch of art deco. I was a little disappointed to find out the gym was under reservation, but using the Marriot's gym a block away suffice. Besides that, the service was excellent and location was ideal. This hotel was fantastic value, but the valet parking was extraordinarily expensive. Cocktails in the lounge were ridiculously priced as well. The staff was very cordial and the rooms had a great view. Bathrooms were fantastic.

I havent' stayed at a hotel that is charging for interenet access in a long time, but the Westin is. They also put an incorrect minibar charge on my bill after I left. I don't need this kind of aggrevation and will not stay there again / will not reccomend it to my friends. Stay at the Nines. Wonderful location - walking distance to sights or rapid transit. Hotel has valet parking only so be ready when you arrive. [But didn't need the car for the 3 days there!] Very easy to get in and out of town, also.Staffe very friendly over Christmas weekend!

We stayed for 3 days for business and the overall experience was fantastic. The staff (front desk, bell service, maid service, and car valets) were friendly, helpful and polite. Their knowledge of the area for local eateries, events, and evening locations were helpful and appreciative. The atmospher and decor was very current and contemporary as well […] as the room we stayed in. The location of the hotel was near many quality shopping and eating establishments, too. This hotel has recently been remodeled and it is very nice. However, the light in our bathroom (Room 805) had a short. You wiggled the switch for the light to turn on. Also, my room included a very old bathrobe. Old--as in the piping on the collar was so frayed that the cord was hanging loose. In short, the details did not match the new fancy remod […] el. I recently stayed at The Westin for two nights as part of a jaunt down the west coast of the US. The location is superb - right in the centre of the city but just off the main roads so much quieter than you might expect. I was able to walk to everywhere I wanted to get to - even to the tram stop to get the airport. The room I had (12th floor, facing […] east) was excellent - very comfortable and clean. Newly updated, clean, friendly staff. Feels like a small boutique hotel. Will stay at this hotel again..

We loved this hotel for its class, its location, and comfort. All in all, a 5 in my book. Staff was perfect, they really went the extra mile.

I have stayed at the Westin many times. The location is perfect for most of Portland, and shopping and dinning are near. The hotel was renovated and so clean and comfortable. Try to get a room floor 10 and above for a great view; very helpful staff. The Daily Grill is good for a cocktail (food is rather bland). Front desk customer service was very good, friendly and helpful. The Bell Captain was rude to my wife, the bartender in the Palms Court Lounge was extremely rude and I had to bus and wipe our own table, and the bathroom tub was plugged while taking showers. We had valet parking and observed an attendant racing around in someones car at high speeds into […] the garage where our car was being parked. We will stay somewhere else next time in Portland. Great stay at the Westin in Downtown Portland! Incredible location within walking distance of almost anything. The staff is friendly. The rooms are great and the beds are soft.

What can i say??? A big disappointment for such a wonderful name - The Westin! Housekeeping terrible - they need to learn how to properly make a bed - sheets need to be changed daily, unless other wise specified - and showers should be cleaned of mold and mildew ( try Ajax and have you heard of Clorox). Thank god for the Daily Grill ( downstairs). If […] you are offering your hotel guests a Lincoln Town Car to the airport, at least make sure that the interior is not filthy and smokey. A very nice hotel. Recently renovated and beautiful. The valet parking is expensive.

The best part of the Westin were the workers who were warm and welcoming. The king size bed was a dream and the whole place was wonderfully clean and fresh. But, I stayed at the Mariott around the corner last year and I liked it better, it felt more cozy and the accomodations were just as nice, for less money. We enjoyed our stay very much - good location, attentive staff and the rooms were comfortable. Personal choice I like slightly larger rooms.

A lovely hotel recently refurbished and extremely comfortable (as Westins usually are -- with a "Heavenly Bed" and a "Heavenly Shower"). However, as is also typical at Starwood properties, they charge for internet from in the room (but, curiously enough, not from the lounge area, where it is free -- I guess they want you to be where they can sell you […] food and drink while you are surfing). In this day and age, it really is "nickel-diming" to charge for wireless. The only other "knock" on this property is that despite the upgrade, they failed to upgrade the elevators -- both of which were really frustratingly slow in coming and slow in going... Lees meer
