I was somewhat dissappointed in this property. It seemed to be going through a renovation. The quality of the work seemed shoddy especially in regards to the carpet installation where seems and loose threads were evident and paint appeared to be applied without cleaning surfaces first. The hotel was under renovation when a stated there. They were in the process of replacing the curtains and lamps which would have been my only critic. The room is the size of a suite, has an offset kitchenette, living, and dining area. The kitchenette had stove, dishwasher, microwave, and came with pots, pans, utensils, and cookware. The couch was a […] pullout. There was a recliner and flat screen tv as well in the living room area. Th bed a was positioned in away that there was a sense of privacy from the other portion of the room. There was another tv by the bed. Of course there was the typical hotel bathroom. Everything else was pretty standard, gym, pool, jacuzzi, and breakfast. For larger groups this place would be great. You can fit a lot of people in the room. For those that are just stating a weekend, this us still a great find as you can live like a star without the hollywood price. Lees meer

When I looked at the pictures online, they seemed really nice but when I arrived to the location, it was not quite like the pictures. This hotel is a let down. The receptionist was sitting behind a hidden cubicle that seemed very unwelcoming and impersonal and had to call her from the front counter. We will not be staying there again,ever! Hotel room did not have all of the furniture in pictures. Website showed tables and other items. Room only had 1 Queen bed, fold out sofa, and a chair. There was a small kitchenette, but no table. No coffee table to use, either. Disappointed in the room. We had 2 rooms, and both were the same!

Found dead roach in bathroom, towels are not white, front desk not available ans this was between 9:30-11:00 am, short of staff, needed more towels n no one can deliver them, had to go downstairs n get it myself

Let me say this Place is at the top of a hill/mountain & the view outside in the Hot Tub is Beautiful. Wonderful Friendly Staff. The day time worker is a complete jerk and absolutely no help at all. But the night time guy, is great. Someone behind me asked if he could recommend a mexican restaurant and he quickly offered suggestions as well as coupons to places. The rooms are very spacious so I can say I like that. I had spent considerable time with the booking agent who said this hotel consistently received 4 out of 5 ratings of some sort. It did have a kitchenette which is a bonus if one needs but we were disturbed upon a late night arrival to find it totally dark, under construction, very unprofessional desk help and in a poor state of repair. The rooms were in disrepair. The "lobby" looked like something in a crack neighborhood. At 630 am the nieghbors upstairs must have been offering free pony rides. The manager was a jerk, and i was embarassed to have brought my new signifcant other there. Bad news!

1. They are remodeling - the room was "backward" - you entered into the bedroom - then passed through kitchen to living room 2. No coffee pot or coffee - had to ask for one 3. It is located behind, above other motels on hotel circle - almost missed the driveway

We stay here on business. the rooms furniture needs to be cleaned or updated. the shower !!!!!! you have to run around in it to get wet, they need to fix that, other then that great hotel.

Much nicer than lower tier hotels but priced about the same. Room was huge and had unexpected amenities. My only complaint was the "no-flow" shower head. Good luck washing your hair if you have medium length or longer hair. Hopefully this problem is unique to this room.

Was not able to shower because the pipes would vibrate violently after the water ran for 3 minutes, the ac in the room wouldnt reach the bedroom because there is a wall betweem (stupid design) the only upside was the free parking and breakfast

Keep an eye open for the driveway into the hotel. It can easily be passed by, especially at night. The room was very large, too much space for a couple, but would be great for a large family. How did this _____ get the name Wyndham on it? When I checked into the suite, the air conditioner was shut off and the room smelled like tobacco smoke and body odor. Even a small spraying of febreeze would have made things better. I asked to have the room switched. This room was beyond my expectations for the price. It was nice and had everything.

We had three kids (with one infant) and two elderly people to in our trip to San Diego. The stay was simply excellent. Particularly the kitchenette in the rooms were awesome. Would definitely recommend to anyone travelling with the plans of light cooking. The good: - VERY convenient to the Zoo and SeaWorld (every hotel in Hotel Circle location is!) - […] Nice, clean and spacious rooms. - Very courteous, helpful and available staff. - Excellent, free, tasty (did I say 'free'?) breakfast. - Good laundry and vending machine facilities. The not so good: - The bathroom showers... definitely needs some fixing. We were 8 guests in two rooms (4 per room), but by the time, the fourth person goes to the shower, the force of the showerhead goes to a mere dripping. The bottom tap in the tub is fine, but the showerhead is bad. BOTH rooms were like that. Since we had kids with us, we had carried plastic bucket sized tubs with us, so all of us ended up using the tub and mug to take shower. - The excellent free breakfast could include more bread choices and at least two more waffle makers to avoid a long wait to make waffles. (again, did I mention that "free" breakfast?) Other than these two complaints, I would definitely suggest to this place for anyone travelling with special needs for light cooking during the stay. Keep an eye open for the driveway, it is easy to pass bye. The room was very large, lots of space. Furniture could be updated and beds could be replaced with king size. The room worked for us, large, basic and convenient.

hotel exceeded my expectations. found a great rate and was expecting it to be a place 'just to rest my head' the room was HUGE, clean and bed was comfy. overall it doesn't scream NICE, but it is definitely clean and the staff was super friendly, we had a few out of norm requests and they were very accommodating. location is freeway close and convenient […] to downtown, sea world, shopping, great restaurants. i highly recommend it - would def stay there again :) Lees meer

the people that work the front desk always seemed to be outside smoking, then coming inside to help us and when she answered a question i had, i got a rude awakening of cigarette smoke right in my face, (NO APOLOGY) really gross, room was great with kitchen, just dont plan on asking the front desk for anything in person, if so wear a mask.....

The suite I originally booked was dirty...I put blankets on the dirty, worn out furniture. The blankets had hair on them. The shower heads had black mold on them. There was one person on duty, he tried to clean the shower heads but moved us to different, separate rooms. Overall, the service and comfort of the hotel was of course not 5-star material, but it was decent and at decent price as per hotels.com. The only complaint that I had was that in the suite, the couch smelled like body odor. Even a small spraying of frebreeze on the circa 1970s couch set would have made things better. Every other Wyndham hotel I've stayed at has been really nice, so I expected this one to be nice. Wow, was I disappointed. It looks like a cheap apartment house that has been turned into a hotel. The hotel is right in the middle of everything! Literally, 5-10 minutes from Balboa Park and the zoo, Seaworld, oldtown, and downtown so the location is great. The staff was very friendly, and the room size and cleanliness was good. The rooms are a little outdated and could use some sprucing up, but for the price I'm not complaining. standing higher than the other hotels, this one stood out because of its bight green sign. This place needs updating. The room had an odor to it, the furniture were outdated, looks like things came from second hand stores, the bathroom didn't have ventalation, had to RUN THE WATER FOR 10 MINUTES or MORE to get HOT WATER. This was a nice stay and a good value. Very large room with decent furnishings, including kitchenette. There is a beautiful "forrest" outside the door of the room, which is nice to see first thing in the morning. Nice complimentary WIFI. The only problem was that the ambience was a tad grim. We stayed at this hotel 1 night. We would have stayed longer, but there were cheaper choices available in the same quality if a kitchenette is not a mandatory aspect of one's trip. The hotel is situated a little further away from the road, on an incline with good views from the higher floors, however the hotel itself is not aesthetically appealing from […] the outside. Many parts show wear and age, inside and out. The best part was getting to our room and being pleasantly surprised by how big it was, including the bathroom. The room was clean, and the kitchenette was a huge plus for us. Inside the room most impressive was the fresh, new looking and modern bedding, as well as the walls and decor. The carpet was the downside as it looked very old and worn with rips. Breakfast is in a small room with typical & average hot and cold choices, not ideal however for health conscious people. Good value overall for the price. Excellent location in hotel circle, easy access to all San Diego offers. Lees meer

I searched for weeks to find a hotel in San Diego with 2-bedroom suites. I finally found one reasonably close to to our destination (about 15 miles away). When we arrived for check-in we were told that there were maintenance issues with the 2-room suites, so they gave us 2 separate rooms, for the same cost as the 2-room. It was disappointing, but I […] was glad the charges remained the same in the end. Still, I could have booked a hotel closer to our destination if I had wanted separate rooms. The rooms were both decent and clean, but I did find hair on one of my bath towels. The kitchen lights are very dim almost to the point of being worthless. The breakfast area was extremely crowded with nowhere to sit. Some of the food took long to be replaced in the buffet when it ran out, but it didn't look very appetizing anyhow. I would recommend this hotel to people who are not very picky about their accommodations or are not planning to stay long. Lees meer

I was there for 3 days and every one of the people at the front desk were great. Room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The only thing I didn't like was the wall unit air conditioner. It was a little loud. But the weather was beautiful so I was able to open a window. The breakfast buffet was nice too. But if you want to eat and get out, don't wait […] until 8 am. Lees meer

I stayed here because of a convention that was happening in downtown San Diego. It was close to the Trolley station and the lowest priced hotel around. The bed was slightly bowed in the middle but it didn't bother me because I was the only one there. If there had been a second person if could have been a problem. Staff was kind and helpful.

Overall, the hotel was pleasant enough. However, even though my stay was prepaid and I called the hotel a day in advance to let them know we would be checking in late, they did not have a non-smoking room available. Apparently, small print indicates that hotels.com does not guarantee smoking preference. Very nice and clean hotel. Easy access from the freeways. Out of the "hustle and bustle" of the city, yet close to major attractions. Very peaceful and comfortable hotel. I loved it!
