Best Western Bandana Square in Minneapolis

We were very happy with the hotel. We loved the atmospher of the idea of the trains and the train station for the breakfas area. The rooms were very nice and clean. But there still was the smell of when everyone use to smoke in the hotels, but that is to be expected in some places.

Great ambiance in main entrance, great breakfast choices, fairly comfortable beds, not close to much (including places to see, places to eat, public transportation, etc.), the free local shuttle ends at 3:00 (which meant I had to find a way back from my business meetings) and is only for business purposes (kind of lame). The room was a non-smoking room but there was the strong odor of cigarettes in the room and hallway. The air vent was a microphone for voices of the room above the room I was staying in. The garbage can was over flowing with garbage at the entrance to the hotel with the sidewalk littered in cigarette butts. The overall feel of the hotel was dirty and […] dated. Nice hotel with a lot of charm. It was really noisy in our room during pool hours - noise from the pool came in through the vents. Luckily it wasn't a huge issue for us because we were not in the room during pool hours.

This hotel is housed in a renovated train/trolley barn. It makes for a splendid stay surrounded a bit of historical color.

Hotel was extremely outdated. Bathroom fixtures (hinges, towel hook, etc) were badly rusted. Toilet seat was broken. Bed sheets were stained but hopefully clean. Closet doors were broken. Hotel room door was difficult to close. Vending machines were not convienently located and clearly from the 90's. Room was a smoking room which we were unaware of […] when booking the room. Luckily the room did not smell as if it was a smoking room. The hotel staff was exceptional! Girl at front desk was extremely helpful. Ruth, who ran the breakfast, was very nice and hard working to keep the place spotless and well stocked. There are very, very few restaurants located near this hotel. If you are needing anything to eat or to make a convience store run you will be driving a few miles to get there. Lees meer

I was very pleased with the over all price & cleanness of the hotel.

What a cool place to stay. Very fun, great historical significance. Wonderful accommodations and breakfast area was very enjoyable! Service was outstanding.

Nice size room, bed was comfortable and everything very clean. Towels were a little weak. Breakfast area was very nice and adequately staffed. Hotel building is a little unconventional but overall was a good experience and great value.

Bandana Square in St Paul MN had very comfortable rooms and friendly staff.

We found a new home away from home in the cities. Great environment, off the beaten, clean, green. I liked it.

Interesting facility and area near Como Park. You need to drive to reach restaurants. Internet service was variable. The signal was sometimes rather weak.

This hotel was decent. I was in town visitng my brother, who works at Midway Stadium. I did not like how the rooms didn't have their own air conditioner... There was only a thermastat. It didn't make the room cool enough when we were trying to sleep. Also, housekeeping forgot to replace the tissues two days in a row. The breakfast was not terrible but […] not good either. The oatmeal tasted like paste and everything else was just so so. Additiontally, the breakfast ends at 9:30 sharp so if you want breakfast make sure you're there way before then. Lees meer

This motel is clean, convenient to many things, has good parking, and is in a safe, quiet neighborhood. I didn't partake of the free breakfast so cannot comment on that. The breakfast room looked very inviting and was very clean. Overall, a good place to stay.

I loved this hotel and the history was nice to experience and learn about. I swear you can still feel and hear the trains and the get the feeling of other historical figures as well roaming around. We quite enjoyed staying in this hotel, with its interesting history and architecture. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast spread was extensive and the free wireless worked well. The non-smoking room smelled like smoke, even though remodeled not everything is remodeled only carpet and beds, bathroom needs serious overhauling. It is a really neat old building so it has a lot of potential.

The hotel was the coolest one I'd ever been in. It was an old train station and had a lot of the old features. But never again will I book a room thru hotels.com. They didnt get the information to the hotel and our room wasnt available anymore when we got there. It took and hour to get it all straightened out which took from our own personal time. We […] were put in a suite, which was cool, but it only had one king size bed and one pullout for 4 people. Another lady next to me had the same problem with hotel.com. I'll never use them again. I liked the railroad theme. The hotelis well kept and the staff was friendly and helpful. The only disadvantage is that it is not located in an area where you can walk around to restaurants or shops.

No microwave in room, no refriderator in room, dried chipped paint against wall on the floor. I could not get on-line the Internet was so busy all the time.

The room was not as updated as I expected, but was clean and comfortable. The WiFi connection was intermittent and was frustrating at times. The rest of the hotel was great, the pool area was very nice and the breakfast area was really neat. Not to mention the continental breakfast was fabulous! Everything you could want for a continental breakfast […] and more, including a waffle station, hot oatmeal, hard boiled eggs, and donuts. Loved the inside layout. Rooms were cozy, clean and quaint. I thought the pool was on the cold side, but we will stay here again.

Were very pleased with hotel and service after spending 12 hours on train trip from Michigan. Arrived just before 11pm and room was ready and waiting for 2 tired travelers. Breakfast and hottub the next morning were what the doctor ordered for the start of a great weekend visit with our family in Minneapolis.

we loved staying here .. staff was very friendly and went out of their way to help .. we were even able to bring our dog for a minimal fee!! we will be staying there again

Standard hotel. The bed was servicable. The staff polite and helpful. The hot tub was not the best, but the sauna was huge and got up to heat quickly.
