Courtyard Portland Downtown/Convention Center in Portland

Everyone at the hotel was so nice. The lobby bar area was recently remodeled--like, literally, up until the day before I got there, so if I'd come a week earlier I might have a different review! It was easy to get to the free light rail to get into downtown Portland. The immediate neighborhood isn't at all interesting. For me, I was bummed that I had to walk a bit or get on the light rail to get anywhere fun to eat or have coffee or walk around, but it was easy enough to get downtown or the to the cute Irvington area. No mention of construction in the parking area online. This only posed a slight problem as we did have to go back and forth to get things from our car and we had to leave the hotel by 5:00 am. The room was clean and simple; no refrigerator or shower cap. Since it was pouring sleet that night, nothing close enough to order or go out for dinner. Room service was practically non-existent. After 2 1/2 hours are trying i finally had to go to the bar and order food to go back to my room. It took 35 minutes from ordering to receiving a piece of chicken. It was time i did not have to waste. Parking was an extra $15/night which i did not know about until check-in. Walking distance to Oregon Convention Centre where I attended a 2-day conference, so very convenient. The indoor "warm" swimming pool with towels and the fitness room are good, although I was disappointed there is no hot tub. Like their free tea, coffee and water with lemon in the lobby, the green apples in the fitness room, and the WiFi room! Bed was […] comfortable, Bathroom clean. Only thing is there is no fridge (not even a small one) and we can hear the noise from the outside traffic at night. Also, the hotel was under renovation at the time we went so there were a bit less space in the main lobby area. It was easy to find, great location especially because it was near the Max, and walking distance to the Rose Garden. The only drawback was that we had to pay for hotel parking :-(

We had an awesome experience at the Courtyard by Marriott Lloyd Center. Very friendly and helpful staff, they even helped us in geting the name, number and details about local pizza delivery places. Good room, relatively clean. Easy access to Convention Center and other activities in this area. I would probably stay here again.

This hotel was chosen because of its close proximity to the Rose Garden - we walked there and back each day to avoid the parking fees both at the hotel ($15) and parking lots/meters. This hotel was just o.k. I expected a bit more out of a Marriott. The $15 per day parking is a rip off! There was plenty of street parking available around so that was good. The room was very very small. We booked a King with Sofabed with 4 adults in the room. We expected a bigger room and found it to be quite small. The pool/hot tub area was o.k. Not […] sure the area around was the greatest. I would say if you get a good deal on one of the online websites, go for it! If you don't, find another hotel! I'm not going to complain too much b/c we got a good deal and we didn't spend much time in the hotel, it was only to sleep, but if I had to pay full price for this place, I would have probably complained a bit more. This motel is perfect is you are attending an event at the Rose Garden. It has secure parking and is within walking distance to the Rose Garden and restaurants. This is the second time we have stayed here to attend a concert in Portland. The room was very clean and comfortable and the staff attentative.

For events at Rose Garden and Memorial Center you can walk and not fool with parking. Monorail to downtown market is a few blocks to walk and free!

We were late checking in and had to find our way to Portland City Grill AND find a parking spot quick or we would lose our reservation. The young lady at the front desk (Bree?) suggested that their shuttle take us. A shuttle? For more than just to and from the airport? Great idea! We got to the restaurant on time, had a wonderful dinner, and took a […] taxi to the Keller for Les Miserables. A wonderful evening was topped of by an hour or two of visiting with friends at the patio outside the bar of the hotel. Then great beds, quiet hallways = good sleep. Good job Marriott! Lees meer

I arrived late and the hotel parking was full!! I had to park on the street.

I found this courtyard to be basic and not in the best location. We like public transport so we were able to get where we wanted. Don't stay here if you must use a cab or can't walk long distances. Bed comfy and liked breakfast buffet.

The overall comfort was okay. The bathrooms did not have a tub. The showers had curtains instead of a closed stall door, due to which water would spill into the toilet part of the bathroom. Except the weird bathroom, the rest of the suite was okay. Breakfast was great.

Pleasant overnight stay. No complaints to speak of. I will be staying at courtyard again.

We stayed here last year and again this year while visiting our son who lives in Portland. Last year we had the 2-room suite which was great for hanging out with son and friends. This year we had the king bed room and it was fine too, just no mini-frig or microwave. It still had a couch for sitting and visiting. We used their restaurant last year and it was nothing special at all and expensive for being "nothing special". Instead we had our breakfasts down the street at the Red Lion Hotel's Cafe 10-21. They had really good skillet breakfasts and other choices for vegetarians too. I got double charged from here and at the hotel for a ten dollar breakfast which was worth about two. The rooms need updating bad. I would definitely stay somewhere else unless I absolutely had to stay there.

Rooms were very nice and clean. $15 bucks to park per night is a rip off. The breakfast buffet was horrible. $20 for two adults. I coulda had a better meal at McDonalds for way cheaper. Pillows were amazing!

The Marriott was not my first choice simply because I have stayed here before and am always dissapointed in the age of the television and lackluster rooms. Everything is clean and there is noting bad just average. It's time for some flat screens and upgraded mattresses.

The staff was wonderful, the breakfast buffet was terrific, unfortunately, at about 4:00 am I was awakened by our next door neighbor's loud phone conversation. For the price it was a good spot to stay but I prefer to be downtown for my activities in Portland.

Poorly administered hotel. We were woken up by a fire alarm at 6:40 AM and evacuated, as did others. Everyone gathered in front of the hotel, but no hotel personnel were there to direct foot traffic or give instructions. We all went back in when the alarm went off--again no instructions or explanation. The front desk clerk was staring at his computer […] when we came back in--not at all interested in making sure everyone was OK. Housekeeping gave us one bar of soap to use during a three night stay. Paid for parking, only to find out at midnight that they don't guarantee a parking space. Had to put money into the parking meter on the street. The night clerk reversed the charges for us. Everything else was great The staff did a great job.

I stayed at the Courtyard Marriott Lloyd Center when I was attending a conference at the Oregon Convention Center. The Marriott's location was perfect, about a minute's walk from the Convention Center and the Max (light rail, free to locations in downtown Portland). Clean, comfortable, typically great Marriott staff make this an easy choice to stay near Lloyd Center/Rose Quarter.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The property was better than anticipated. Breakfast buffet was great, staff very helpful. Street noise was not an issue at all and I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

The hotel itself was nice. Our room had a few maintenance issues but nothing extreme (light broken, chair ripped). What truly impressed me though was the staff. I interacted with four different staff members and ALL of them were professional, knowledgeable, and so polite. I will definitely be returning to this hotel!

All of the staff have great attitudes. The room was clean and efficient. There's lots of places to eat close to the hotel. . The restaraunt at the hotel is too expensive. The pool is satisfactory.

Everything was up to standard, we chose that specific hotel because of its location, close to the Rose Quarter. If we go up to Portland for another event at the Rose Quarter we will definately try to stay there again.

This was a very nice hotel, especially for the amount of money I paid. The hotel staff were friendly and welcoming, and the hotel itself was beautifully decorated and well-kept.

The breakfast bar is outstanding the rooms are well kept.

My overall satisfaction was a 4. I gave the hotel this rating only because the walls seemed very thin. I could hear the outside traffic clearly. With that said, as soon as the mall closed, most if not all traffic went away and the room was quiet when it was time to sleep. I would stay here again.

Great location within walking distance of the Portland Convention Center and Rose Garden. Quiet, clean and comfortable room with large bathroom. Great breakfast buffet in the morning. Secure parking. I will definitely stay there again!

The place was VERY clean the staff could not have been friendlier. Hate the automatic tips on the bar bill though! Stay there, but don't eat or drink there!

I was looking for a place that had a restaurant and bar in the hotel, and was only slightly disappointed. The bar was very small, but great bartenders. The restaurant did not fit our needs for dinner, but the buffet breakfast was not bad. The area is not the best, but is fairly close to other restaurants. I did not like having to pay for parking, especially […] since we had two vehicles. I had an issue with my bill, as they ran my c.c over the Hotel.com info, and ended up charging my room on my c.c. as well as through Hotel.com. Very frustrating. They were only slightly apologetic, and did not seem to understand the invonvenience of having my money tied up. I would recommend this for the comfort of the bed alone ! Very comfortable. Lees meer

This hotel provided everything we needed for our stay. It was close to the Lloyd Center, which was our destination for the STP bike ride. It was clean, and had comfy beds, which is a plus after a long day on the bike! Warning though, on the directions to the hotel, do not turn right after you exit the freeway in Portland, stay to the left and go straight. […] This will lead you to the hotel, no problem. I followed directions which said turn right, and ended up somewhere else! I realized this right away and was able to back track, but what a pain! I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Lees meer
