Zoals we al gelezen hadden bij andere beoordelingen: lange wachttijd bij het inchecken. Dit gebeurd overigens in veel hotels in de VS. Het onbijt buffet was er niet, we kregen een saldo te goed op ons kamernummer waarmee we in een andere gelegenheid van het hotel konden ontbijten. Zeer gunstige ligging, mooi zwembad, grote parkeer garage (gratis)

Mijn verwachtingen waren torenhoog: Wynn/Encore Las Vegas staat bekend als een van de beste hotels van Las Vegas en Amerika. Uiteindelijk bleek alles perfect: Kamer, uitzicht, roomservice, Le Reve, XS. Vanaf nu zal ik iedere keer in Vegas in de Encore verblijven.

The $30 million pool complex the Tank includes a shark tank, a 3-story enclosed waterslide that zips you through the tank (safely), and 13 private cabanas (surcharge). At the 3rd floor of the Tank, the Hideout offers an escape for guests 16 and older. Here, you can swim in the 2-story infinity pool, or sprawl out on a chaise longue (surcharge) and catch some rays. Erg mooi hotel.schoon,ruim,alles bij de hand.er stond wel dat roken was toegestaan maar wij verbleven in de rushtower wat een niet roken toren is.wel een super mooie kamer.verder mag je overal roken en was eigenlijk geen probleem.internet is duur.en hebben ze 4x berekend.uiteindelijk wel gereformeerd bij het uitchecken.rustige toren,geen lawaai behalve […] de schoonmaaksters om 8 uur in de ochtend.die druk praten op de gang.zou het hotel zeker aanraden!! "Golden Nugget Hotel-veel te druk"
Dit was een erg druk en lawaaiig hotel. Het zwembad was overvol, nauwelijks een bed te vinden, het rook er niet fris en overal zaten mensen te roken. Er waren lange rijen voor het ontbijtbuffet, we hebben zeker 40 minuten gewacht voordat we een plek kregen aangewezen. Er was tot laat in de nacht harde muziek die in de kamer door dreunde. het ligt leuk , meteen bij de fremont experience : een bijzondere voorstelling 3x per avond [ gratis ]. vanuit je kamer mooi uitzicht op de Strip. goede gratis hotel P. een groot Minpunt geen gratis internet.

We hadden speciaal een corner suite genomen voor het uitzicht maar werden in 1e instantie op de 5e verdieping gezet waar je verblind werd door 2 enorm grote lampen die de gevel verlichten! Nadat we daarover klaagden werden we naar de 19e verdieping overgeplaatst. "Geweldig zwembad!"
Mooi hotel, centraal gelegen downtown. Als je de drukte van de strip even beu bent is het downtown Las Vegas echt genieten geblazen. Het zwembad met de haaien in The Golden Nugget moet je echt gezien hebben!

A nightmare stay, this hotel standard has gone down really bad, walked in the room and found a dirty pair of thongs on the floor, that should tell you how much the room was cleaned....pillows smelled absolutely disgusting, could never sleep well even after asking them to change the pillows, they still smelled. Cups in the Carson restaurant were so dirty […] and smelly, makes you want to throw up , restaurant manager could care less and was upset that we complained . Great location for old school Vegas. Comfortable room. Nice low key place to stay if you're not in to the party scene. Request non smoking or you will smell like an ashtray.
"Bath Tub Overshadowed a good stay"
First of all, the bed was really comfortable. Room bigger than a standard hotel room (we stayed in the Carson Tower). But, when I got up in the morning to shower, the drain was plugged and there was some standing water in the tub. So, that was no good. Ate at Lillie's, which is good and fun at the grill. great hotel but service is bad. Each morning someone employed by the hotel was knocking on my door before 9 am...either house cleaning or someone wanting to change the filters in the ac. I called to tell the manger but no one has returned my call and it has been over 8 days. I will stay somewhere else next time just because they don't seem to care.
"Amazing New Year at Golden Nugget"
We had a great time. Hotel staff and Casino staff were very helpful even though the New Years crowd was huge. We saw Gordie Brown, a must see performance... fun night. Gabriel Gifford and her Astronaut husband, Mark Kelly sat two rows up. A very surreal experience.

"Golden Nugget in vegas"
We liked the hotel,but the pool was closed way too early. We have 2 teens and found the ammentities for them were very restricted. The casino attendants were really bossy. My kids couldnt even to stand and watch us play a game.

I have stayed here before, but this time was even nicer room. The room had a large flat screen TV and was very clean and orderly.

We asked for a room close to the elevator but still had to walk down a long hall way to the last room there. Nice room but dont gamble there, you wont even come close to winning anything.
"The Golden Nugget - Affordable and very nice"
Just stayed here one night as a stop-over to get to Utah, but I enjoyed this place. The staff was very courteous and helpful. Considering how old this place is, it is very well kept and has been nicely updated. Fremont street after hours seems a little seedy though. As long as you're in the hotel, you'll be fine.
The hotel was great. Would recommend it to everyone. I would also go back in a second.
"Great, Affordable Casino Hotel"
The hotel is very nice and was decently priced. The location is good as well. Outstanding quality, service and environment for the price. The restaurant was mediocre but did not detract from the overall hotel experience. Best "reduced priced" hotel in Vegas. Overall we enjoyed our stay.
Staying downtown at the Golden Nugget was a very pleasant experience. I will definitely stay there again. There's so much going on downtown that I did not feel a need to go to the strip.

"Downtown smokers paradise"
We are not smokers but our clothes smelled as though we had smoked a pack of cigarettes. Having asthma I found it very difficult to breathe after only a couple of hours.

"wrong in so many ways"
We stayed for the Maaco bowl so it was mid week and upgraded to a suite. The first night we couldn't figure out what the smell was in the room. I kinda guessed it was from the sink, like someone threw up in it. We moved the next day to another suite. This time it was a handicap room with no tub, it was a walk in shower which was very dark and cold. […] When we checked out the up charge was double what they said when I checked in and I was charged for water that I didn't drink, $10 for a bottle of water( we brought our own). I told her what was said at check in and she corrected it and took the water off. I'm not going back there, it wasn't for me. Lees meer
great room, very clean, comfortable bed, would absolutely come back there.
We spent one night there, in a non-smoking room. The room was clean and did not smell like smoke. The kids loved the shark tank water slide and swimming pool, we loved the hot tub!

I am a local here in Vegas and rented the suite for a photoshoot, I have stayed in just about every on strip casino and opted for this one during CES since it was the ONLY reasonably priced option. The Riviera (a dump) was charging $400+ a night and its a roach motel. I knew Golden Nugget remodeled but hadn't seen the rooms, I usually don't stay in […] a room after I finish shooting but this one was so nice that we did. The 2 story suite was very clean, and for me to stay anywhere, it must be immaculate! The staff was friendly and helpful and I am glad I chose this place...let's hope my europe trip is as successful! I often travle to Vegas for work and I have found the Nugget to be the best place to stay. Easy parking, short wait times for vallet, nice staff (always) and simply a good value. Simple access to the freeway and NLV. I am usually dissapointed when I stay elsewhere.

this is in downtown which is different than the strip. but you can visit the strip on the express bus or to the LV convention center. for my conference it was a cheaper but equally as good as hotels on the strip for which there was a shuttle to CES. i took the express bus for $7 for a 24 hour pass. saved lots. mickey
"Golden nugget in las Vegas- close to all entertain"
This was a awesome experience. I don't gamble and there's something from big to small. The nightlife is fun. Great place for families!!!! Would recommend this hotel to all travelers. Clean, friendly staff. Fun, and I can't wait to visit again!!!

My husband and I went to Vegas for New Years; this was our first trip. As we were shuttled from the airport to the hotel, I was getting nervous the further from the strip we went. When we arrived at the hotel I was releaved. While not ON the strip, the Golden Nugget is "downtown" in "old Vegas". It was a nicely decorated hotel with a little of everything. […] I LOVED the aquarium and there was even a glass tube slide that went thru the middle of the shark tank! The food was all wonderful....we experimented with all the restaurants. We did shuttle to the strip a few times, but found that we liked the atmosphere in downtown better. If you like activities but don't care for HUGE crowds and chaos, this is the hotel for you! Golden Nugget was not bad. We expected a little nicer based on price. Good buffet. Pool. Extremely long walk from room to casino/sportsbook. Room clean, adaquate.

This hotel feels like Reno opposed to Vegas. It reeks of cigarettes and beer when you walk in the doors. Pretty standard for smoking casino hotels. Location is prime. "Transportation issues"
It is a shame that the Golden Nugget is not on the strip. It is costly to use the bus, $14 a day for two people, And it needs to be used in a 24 hour period. I guess we should have gotten the 3 day ticket. Everything in Vegas costs real serious money. Not the bargain we once enjoyed. We do not gamble and so the drinks are not on the house. We were pleasatly surprised with the size and cleanliness of our room. We requested a smoking room and it was well ventilated with the ability to open the window to air it out. Oveall the hotel was updated and cleaned up.
"Rude personnel and nickel and dimed"
People were rude, and they nickle and dime you on everything. $10 for the pot of (small) coffee in your room. Not enough plug ins in the room.
