Werkelijk uitstekend hotel. Helaas geen ontbijtfaciliteit, het is een suites hotel dus met keuken in de kamer. Wel een soort winkeltje waar je spulletjes kunt kopen. Dit is een uitstekende hotel voor als je op doorreis bent, of als je een goedkoop hotel wilt en het geen probleem vindt om met de auto de stad in te gaan.
Ligging.
Portland Marriott City Center ligt in het centrum van Portland, op loopafstand van O'Bryant Square en Pioneer Courthouse Square. In de buurt liggen ook Tom McCall Waterfront Park en Jeld-Wen Field.
Hotelvoorzieningen.
Dit hotel met een groen/duurzaam beleid biedt diverse eetgelegenheden, zoals een restaurant en een bar/lounge. In openbare ruimtes is tegen betaling een internetverbinding (draadloos of via kabel) beschikbaar. Dit hotel met 3,5 sterren beschikt over zakelijke voorzieningen waaronder een businesscentrum met 24/7 toegang en audiovisuele apparatuur. Het personeel kan op verzoek een conciërgeservice, een huwelijksservice en een cateringdienst voor evenementen regelen. Ten westen van de rivier de Willamette biedt de binnenstad een veelgeprezen skyline, straten die uitnodigen tot een wandeling, en een levendige kunstscene. Bezoekers kunnen belastingvrij inkopen doen in boekhandel Powell's Books en op de Saturday Market, een waar paradijs voor liefhebbers van kunst en nijverheid. Er worden plaatselijke festivals georganiseerd, zoals Cinco de Mayo en het Oregon Brewer's Festival. "Perfect location and very nice hotel"
Only complaint was our room looked out onto the HVAC system in the interior of the building but of course that was quieter than the street. Just not an inviting view. The location was terrific and the staff was great as well. They accommodated our family (of five) without issue.

Great city. Great hotel. The hotel is in a perfect location in this cozy city. The staff was great and the room exactly what you would expect from a Marriott. I only wish parking at the neighboring lot was cheaper. But overall great place and I'd definitely stay there again.

The hotel was very nice with a great location. I would book through Marriott though if you want to specify king/2 doubles for a room. Apparently, hotels.com cannot guarantee your type of room.

We had a fantastic time in this Beautiful hotel. Stayed on the 17th floor and had a magnificent view of the river and St. Helens. The staff was highly accommodating. The room was small, there was a TV but no DVD player, the hotel was ranked 3 1/2 but there was no swimming pool there, no jacuzzi, only a tiny fitness center. No free Internet, breakfast not included, the street was very busy with no parking. Valet parking available but my car was parked 4 blocks away from the hotel. Magnetic cards were not working […] and the staff said we were to blame because we were holding them close to cell phones (we did not!). Worst of all, when we were checking out, the valet forgot our car at the corner, did not park it in front of the hotel and did not leave the key in the lock. My husband used his own key (I gave mine to the valet) and now the manager of the hotel is FEDEXing me my key and charging me for FEDEX delivery. Lees meer
"Pricey but great location."
This hotel is located walking distance to great resturants, clubs etc. There is a $31 valet fee per day. Pricey but can't beat the location. Valet staff is excellent. Rooms are clean. There is a nice work-out center but no pool and no hot tub.

My son and I were visiting the city alone and I felt absolutely secure staying at the Marriott City Center. We were using public transportation and when we arrived it was pouring (we were soaked). The gal at the front desk found us a room 4 hours early so we could get comfortable. As far as room cleanliness, the hotel was above my expectations. I love […] that the duvet covers are washed and changed between customers (who wants to sit on a dirty comforter?). Another great perk is the size of the room. "Great Downtown Hotel"
Great location, great rooms, Don't hesitate to stay here. Numerous restaurants within a five to ten minute stroll, including the Jakes Famous Crawfish, which is where we walked to for dinner. Everyone at this hotel was friendly and efficient.

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel and it certainly made it easy to see more of the city since everything was in a walking distance. Great shopping and food. Will stay there again.

The location is fantastic and the staff was great, especially the lovely lady staffing the concierge floor lounge, which was nice. My only complaints are that the room and bathroom is fairly small, and there was no mini-bar or fridge. We were traveling around the state and had just come to Portland after staying in a Best Western in a rural area near […] wine country, this was a bit of a disappointment. This hotel is very close to shopping, dining and entertainment. 5 star hotel for the 3.5 star price. Great restaurant/lounge with awesome food and drinks.

"Condition of hotel"
I was dissapointed with the maintenance of the hotel, the carpet between the bathroom and the room was frayed. The sheets on both beds had tears in them. The maids did a great job and the room was clean.

We loved this hotel and plan to return on our next visit to Portland. The location is wonderful, a short walk to some of the finest restaurants in the city. The room was spacious and immaculate. I wouldn't stay here again or recommend it. As previously noted I had issues with the room card all weekend. The toilet wouldn't flush at one point and the shower didn't drain very well. When I went to check out the tried to charge me for valet parking which I didn't use.

"What I expected"
Although it was a bit expensive for what I was looking for, it was worth it. A nice room, with a train station really close, nice neighborhood.
I would not stay here again. It is inconvenient to have to use the valet parking and I was irritated because one of the rooms that I had reserved month in advance had been given away and changed for an alternate unacceptable room.

I was very satisfied with this hotel. Front desk staff bent over backwards to help me at check in. Rooms were clean and comfortable. No complaints.

Good location and nice room. I didn't know that they didn't have parking so that was an extra $20 overnight, and internet was an extra $10. Overall a good place to stay.

The Marriott City Center's location is stellar. Right in the middle of everything and a block from the light rail. Room was a decent size. If you like down pillows, you're set; there are plenty, but no other options. We thought the shower head could have been better; it was a bit weak.
