Travelodge Newport Area/Middletown in Middletown

Kamer was netjes, ontbijt goed. Vriendelijk personeel.

Voor een goedkoper hotel/motel mag je wel niet veel verwachten, maar toch was deze sobere kamer helemaal in orde.

room was not handed over on time, waited 2 hours, as they said they had less staff. not much service provided, its just "have a room and dont expect more attitude". rooms were clean and had fridge an microwave too. location was on highway but not close to downtown or major attractions.

I recently stayed at the hotel to enjoy some of Newports nightlife. The hotel served it purposed excellently. Beds were clean as well as all the rest of the room. The room even had a micro and fridge. Was it a plush 5star hotel...no but it was perfect for a night out on a budget.

I have never been disappointed when staying in a Travelodge and this was no exception. From the kindness of the man behind the counter, to the cleanliness of the room we were pleasantly surprised. The value exceeded the price of the room. Would stay again.

Our stay in the Travelodge was great. It was clean, convenient and recently remodeled. Everything had a new look and feel. Would highly recommend this to anyone.

Hotel is in a nice area, but not so great place. Clean, but not very comfortable.

was guarantied 2 queen size beds...given 1 double bed...when I asked for another room desk clerk told me would have to take up complaint with hotel,com. Got into argument as was not room I paid for and desk clerk hung up phone . Went down to office and paid another $20 for a room with 2 queen size double beds. Given the busy weekend it did hits justice

The room was adequate. Location was very convenient. The room was very musty, but we arrived one week after a major tropical storm.

We arrived to a smelly, damp, dark room - only one light in the whole room worked, and it was maybe a 40-watt bulb max. Some of the lamps didn't even have bulbs in them. We cancelled immediately and did not even try to stay in the hotel. When we found a neighboring hotel to stay at instead, they said they'd been getting lots of guests who moved from […] this hotel. Nice, clean, good breakfast, pleasant staff, great value for the dollar. Only thing I would do is to place more shrubbery around the pool area to make it more private and conceal the car dealership roadway that is located nearby. We were sceptical at first as it only received 2 stars, but we went with the fairly high customer rating instead & are so glad we did! The rooms & ammenities are very basic, but since you spend most of the time outside sightseeing, it is perfect. There is a pool if you need. The room was comfortable & the hotel quiet. Very nice motel. close to everything.

What a wonderful experience we had during our stay at the hotel . The room and bathroom were very clean. Extra towels were put in our room without even asking for them.The beds were surprisingly comfortable, better than a 5 star hotel we were recently at. The staff was exceptionally nice and the free breakfast was great.

I was most impressed with the excellent response to the one problem that we had.. We would stay there again. N. Wootton

I just needed a relatively cheap hotel for one night while I toured the mansions in Newport. I chose travelodge because of the price, location, and free in-room internet. The room was clean and the air conditioning worked great. There was a coffee maker, fridge, microwave, hair dryer, and of course, the aforementioned free internet. There was also a […] complimentary breakfast where I grabbed a pastry on the way out the door, but it also had cereal, bagels, waffles, coffee, juice, etc. The bed was surprisingly comfortable and the pillows were nice and fluffy. I did not go in the pool, but it looked clean and other guests were enjoying it. I wasn't there long, but I would book this hotel again. Can't beat the price for all the included amenities. The staff were available and helpful. The rooms were reasonably clean. We were seeking a place to stay at night after running around town.It met our criteria. We never intended to utilize the motel as the center of our activities; otherwise, we would have chosen a resort hotel.

The room was large, clean, and comfortable. The mattress was firm and the air conditioning worked. Staff pleasant and well versed in area restaurants, roads, and directions. Easy ride into Newport. Place was quiet and the lighing in the rooms was good.

Recently stayed at this hotel with my girlfriend and 12 yr old daughter. The room was clean and the bathroom very large. The hotel is at a prime location 5 minutes to the beach and 10 minutes to downtown newport. The staff was very friendly and helped me to find things. a little far from the center of Newport- at least ten minute drive. There was a little mix- up at the front desk at check-in (through Hotels.com.) I almost thought they lost my reservation but that was cleared up by using the confirmation code- no problem. We did not require any service to our room during our three night stay, but the place was clean […] had the ammenities listed, plus free breakfast which included waffles, fruits, (2)cereals, bagel w/cream cheese, coffee, juices, danishes. We were very satisfied with Travelodge in Middletown, RI. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful and rooms were very clean and comfortable. We will definitely stay there again when in that area.

all bad, never book another travel lodge

The Travelodge in Middletown has no bells or whistles, but for the cost one has to be pleased. The staff were friendly and efficient, the hotel's exterior has been well-maintained, my room was clean, the bed was firm, the water for my shower was hot and the spray powerful. There was nothing to be displeased about. The breakfast is basic and didn't offer […] many options, but the necessities to fill you up and get you going (coffee, juice, bagels, pastries) were there. Overall ok. Just a little musty.

My husband and I were going to a wedding on Sunday of Memorial Day weekend in Newport,RI. Needless to say, it was a very busy weekend there. The room rate was very good. The hotel room was extremely clean, and comfortable. I have to say the bed was VERY comfortable. We probably got the best nights sleep in a long time. This is the second time we stayed at this hotel. Last time we stayed in the building that is not connected to the main building where the office and breakfast area is located. I really liked that location because we parked our car right outside our room and just ran in and out whenever we needed something. This time we were give a room in the main building […] (which I didn't even realized this existed last time). This was a much better location, even though we couldn't run in and out of the car easily. This building has interior corridors, which makes it feel more like a hotel than a motel. This hotel is very clean. The rooms are very big (the secondary building has bigger rooms), as are the bathrooms. It appears that the entire main building has gotten new carpet, as it was plush and the colors were very bright. The comforters and pictures could stand to be updated to match the carpet, but that's just my opinion. Each room has a decent size refrigerator and a microwave, which is a great bonus. The breakfast is doesn't offer hot eggs, but you can make your own fresh waffles. This hotel is on a main road, but you don't hear the noise from your room. The historic mansion are about 4 miles from here. There is a seasonal outdoor pool, but they don't have a fitness room. I was told that they are planning to construct one. I would recommend this hotel if you are looking for a clean place, ample parking, easy access to the mansions and wharf, and you aren't looking to spend a fortune. This hotel is well worth the money. The rooms were ok. The room did have a musty/wet smell that was noticeable. The room had older towels and linen that need to be updated for a new clean feel. Everything that was required was available. The hotel staff were lovely and very helpful. It's exactly what you can expect from a Travelodge. It's just a place to sleep while you visit Newport. It's a straight shot to all Newport destinations. Don't expect anything fancy. This place does the trick in a pinch, especially since everything in Newport is so gosh darned expensive!

The hotel was clean and the staff was polite. The hotel is closely located to downtown, which is about a 5 minute drive. It is definitely a good bargain without making too many sacrifices, besides-when your on vacation your supposed to be out visiting the sites not sitting in your room! New Brunswicker

Very clean and neat. A little old in decor. Everything was in working condition and the room was very large. Although a short distance to Newport(approx. 3 miles) there were numerous resturants and shopping in the area. A neat and clean and plan hotel at a good price for the Newport area.
