Pembridge Palace Hotel in Londen

Het Pembridge Hotel is gelegen in een goede buurt met allemaal andere hotels. Het is een rustige buurt en je zult dan ook niet snel last hebben van geluid van buiten. Wij lagen echter op een kamer dicht bij de lift en hadden redelijk veel last van mensen die op de gang liepen. Niet alleen gepraat, maar ook het feit dat de vloer beweegt als er mensen […] langslopen was vervelend. Vooral ook omdat de bedden erg slecht zijn en je daarom al moeilijk in slaap valt. Het hotel ligt in een mooie buurt van Londen, Notting Hill. De kwaliteit van het hotel is helaas niet geweldig. De kamer waar wij in verbleven was erg klein. Op zich is dat geen probleem, maar daarnaast was het ook erg gehorig en was het warme water van de douche erg snel op. Het Pembridge Palace hotel ligt in een mooie buurt van Londen en dichtbij een gezellige straat (Queensway) waar je goedkoop uit kunt eten en drinken. Vervoer met de underground is daar ook aanwezig vanuit 2 stations. Prima dus

3 overnachtingen in een (3 persoons) kamer ter grootte van een kledingkast. Tapijt, bed, algehele indruk smoezelig. Bad lekte. Het hotel is onvoorstelbaar gehorig. Ontbijt stelt helemaal niets voor. Na de eerste ochtend elke dag ontbeten bij 'Pret a Manger'. Locatie is prima, mooie buurt. Voor een ieder die dit leest; niet doen, even verder kijken.

Voor zijn prijs is dit een goed hotel in Londen. Was 10 min. wandelen van metro en kort bij veel restaurantjes.Kamer was wel klein zoals meestal in Londen, ontbijt viel beter mee als verwacht.

Good price. Simple but comfortable room. 5 minutes from tube station. Quiet, safe neighborhood and the staff was excellent! Would have loved to stay longer!

Let me start this review by saying I did not expect miracles. Hotels in London are by right expensive, and normally offer less value for money than similarly priced or starred hotels in continental Europe. However, I would expect for the price that there would be some degree of service. The man at the desk was quite rude and other than taking a deposit […] he had nothing to say. The timing of the trip may have been poor also as the hotel seemed to be hosting a Spanish school excursion or such; this I have no problem with, but it did demonstrate the rather poor soundproofing of the walls and windows. Also there was no shampoo or standard amenities included except some coffee and tea. On the positive side the bed was comfortable and the shower worked well! Breakfast was quite a melee and I honestly have experienced better fare at 1 star hotels! Bayswater is however quite a desirable location, there are good bus connections and the underground is fairly close by. If one were to want to dine in that area you would certainly be able to find a range of food. That's all really. Lees meer

The positive aspects are: location, near the subway, several shops and restaurants and the parks; the hotel staff was friendly and always were nice. Apart from that, inferior breakfast, tiny room, terrible bed (all bumpy). I can honeslty say that the room was overpriced.

This is a cheap hotel, so I didn't expect many creature comforts and I wasn't disappointed in that regard. It's basic, very basic, and that's okay. What wasn't okay was being asked if I could wait until tomorrow to change rooms after water leaked through my ceiling and soaked part of my bed — because "it would be easier".

We stayed in a twin room, and with two medium sized suitcases we were barely able to move around. It's very noisy--you can hear other guests walking around upstairs and in the corridor. There were no duvets on the beds, only stained and dusty rugs. The room was however kept clean and tidy, with fresh towels every day. The bathroom was small, but ok. The […] staff in the reception seemed disinterested, taking personal calls on their cellphones and sitting in another room from time to time. The staff in the breakfast room were stressed and very rude when asked questions by guests--the breakfast itself was horrible. Although I'm told you shouldn't expect much from London hotels, I would not visit this hotel again. Will pay more next time to get some luxury. If you're looking for somewhere cheap to stay with your friends and you get a good price, it's bearable. If you want a romantic holiday with your loved one, I advice you to spend some more money and stay somewhere else. Lees meer

I have stayed in this hotel recently. I had a room in the basement. I think there is 3 rooms in the Basement.The quality of the room, the bathroom was very very very poor. I cannot talk about the other room , but tthe room in basement are simply not acceptable. GLobally I do not recommend this hotel.

Good value for money, helpful staff, good location, breakfast was basic, but was included in the room rate. Keep in mind that you get what you pay for and you will find this hotel to be well worth it

I stayed in a tiny basement room, just barely enough for 2 people. The carpet was wet, the towels weren't clean, found a few hairs in it. The door trembled trough the morning everytime someone would close another door.

Walked round and round various "Squares" in the rain late at night before finally finding the Pembroke Palace. Had got the last double online which was very good value and ideal for us as close enough to Euston. Carpets very "tired" and lumpy beds sloping in sympathy with the wonky bedroom floor. We stayed for 4 nights in the first days of April. We liked very much the district. Very nice and peacefull so close to everything. We had no problem with the hotel and the service. Basically a youth hostel and run as such.More like going on camp ,no manners ,no smiles ,no wireless .All I have to do is remember never to book it again .

We were very pleased with the location of the hotel, easy to get to the places we wanted to visit. Room quite small, but clean and comfortable. Would have appreciated a supply of shower gel etc in the bathroom, and the TV had obviously not been updated. Breakfast adequate and plentiful. Compared to the price, the hotel was what we expected. It was place to sleep and not flashy in any way.

Every time I asked something regarding any service, I feel as though the hotel staff gave me an enormous attitude. In addition the internet I paid £7 a day for didn't even work. In addition on more than one occasion I found hair belonging to someone else in the towels. The room was extremely tiny. It had room for a twin bed and a chair, but barely […] more than that. For those with more luggage, this may be a problem as there really isn't any place to put your belongings, so they can't do much of a cleaning job. Not much of a continental breakfast, as I am not particularly a fan of orange-rind juice. In many aspects, the hotel was as expected. Pembridge Palace Hotel -Good location, Small Rooms and toilets. But not bad concidering what you pay for it. A good enought hotel if you going for a weekend or 3 or for 4 days and need to be near the center of London.

front desk staff english was poor. telephone in room was not working and front desk told us regret but maintenance gone home already guests do not follow hotel rules about quiet time after 11pm

Decent enough if your looking for something cheap in central London.

One night.. Internet is only working at the ground floor, and not free. The room was cold, even with heating.

lorraine from ireland. Location of hotel ok, the room we stayed in was very unsatisfactory, the mould on the walls suggested lack of air and heating in room, not very clean and for four people in a room, it was very small.

Booked a room with bathroom outside. Got a room with bathroom dowstairs.

The hotel is nice and clean, close to subway and supermarket. The Bayswater's Arm Pub food is nice just around next to the Bayswater's subway station!

I was a bit disappointed about the state of the room in this hotel. The carpet was dirty and the beds looked shabby. Really it is only a one star place.

Partially disabled. Lifts excellent, but no proper handrails from pavement to our room, only dado rails, inadequate. Unable to obtain extra needed bedding, in the evening, without personal collection from reception. Impossible when ready for bed. No toiletries, as is the norm, so I took none with us. Only sufficient sachets for one cup of coffee each. […] Breakfast toast was merely bread dried in a toaster, not even brown. Room warm enough TV limited channels but reception OK. Staff helpful and friendly. Choc machine no substitute for needed snacks, which could be bought from shops approx 1/2mile away. Difficultj for disabled! Lees meer

The hotel staff were very helpful, the room was basic but clean, the decor needs some attention but overall the stay was good.

This hotel is very good for the money, and for just an overnight stay it was ok. The room was a bit small and the interior was very much old fashioned, but not in the good way. Make sure to bring soap/shampoo as they do not offer it other than in the form of soap bars. The bed was ok, and there was not much noise from outside. We booked the 3 bed bedroom and were surprised about the standard, after reading so many different reviews. We didnt really have any high expectations. It was indeed a small room and little space for luggage and moving around in general. It was in the top floor with a great view..and elevator. Totally quiet street, we all slept well, and the breakfast […] consist mostly of toast with jam, cheese or eggs. Bathroom was really nice also.. just lacked a lightbulb, thats all. Only thing we agreed wasnt so good was probably the dusty areas in the bedroom, behind the bed and such. Would not recommend it for allergics! Good location, 5 min. walk from Basewater station. We got a 4 bed family room in the basement. Small room but we managed. Friendly and helpful staff.

The bed was extremely sqeaky, which made it impossible to sleep. It felt like my neighbours were in my room screaming all night, that's how soundproof the walls were, and the door as well, which was more or less a plank in the wall when it comes to keeping noises out. The breakfast was ok but not good.

This is a clear case of "you get what you pay for" - nothing more, nothing less. The hotel is basic and a little run-down but clean and in an excellent location in Bayswater. Within a few minutes walking to several tube stations, and Notting Hill. If you're looking for a cheap place to crash in a central location this is perfectly adequate. Good position, staff pleasant enough. Room extremely tight for a family of four. Restaurant seemed too small for the amount of people taking breakfast.

Very disappointing with small, uncomfortable rooms. The carpet was very stained, the hand basin cracked, beds hard and the tiny television bought many moons ago. There seemed no insulation between us and the room above which resulted in a great deal of noise when the occupants above were moving around. They woke us up early each morning. The dining […] room was cramped and too small to accommodate all those wishing to have breakfast resulting in long queues tailing up the stairs outside the dining room. The choice of breakfast was meagre with no fruit available on two of the three days we spent there. There was little choice in the cold buffet and no rolls available. The coffee was the worse I've tasted and the orange juice watered down. Staff at reception or in the dining room were unfriendly and never said "Good Morning" or "Hello." It's two redeeming features were a good, quiet location within easy walking distance of 2 tube stations, shops and restaurants and a pleasant view from our bedroom window of trees and a quiet street. Hardly a palace- upon arrival we were told the double rooms were in the basement. The room was tiny, and the surrounding areas around the room were very noisy, especially in the morning, as it was next door to the dining room. There was also a loud generator outside the window. I booked a twin bed room and to my surprise the hotel gave me a very small single bed room. The management was inflexible. Wi-f- charge is very high if someone uses a few hours. Breakfast was below average.

Bad service, dirty room, no warm water all in a cold room.
