Fantastisch hotel, heerlijk ruime kamer, comfortabele badkamer en vriendelijk personeel. Er zijn zeker goedkopere hotels in londen, maar hier krijg je heel veel waar voor je geld. Het enige minpunt is dat er geen gratis wifi is, maar dat is in engeland ook niet gebruikelijk. Holborn underground station is op 5 minuten lopen, net als het british museum […] en oxford street. Wat super a relaxed is dat je om 11uur smorgen s aan komt en denkt lekker even relaxen en dan douchen en leuk aankleden voor het feest van 2 uur. En dan kan je niet naar een kamer en moet je om 2 uur terug komen om in te boeken. Sta je daar je om te kleden op te maken in de plee van het hotel. Met al je troep op de vloer heel handig : ) De kamers waren […] erg klein en nog erger het bed was maar 140 breed. De badkamer was wel erg prettig. Het bed was ook gewoon slecht. De buurt was leuk maar oordopjes zijn aan te raden om de 10 min sirenes. Vast dicht bij een ziekenhuis. Verder was de 2de dag het personeel ververst wat zeker beter was dan dag 1. good quality for the money, but they should reconsider their £70 deposit reserved on your credit card on arrival, as this simply doesnt make any sense

Arrived at 14:20 and told check in was at 15:00. That sort of thing went out years ago. Receptionist then 5 mins later said we had an up graded room, this because he saw I was not happy, I think that very poor. In the info. book in the room it states check in 14,:00

This is a great hotel in a very good location, however if your room is located facing the main road then do not expect a good nights sleep. The traffic noise is horrendous and with a set of traffic lights directly outside the constant 'stop-start' adds to the issue and the rooms are not well sound-proofed at all. Had a great stay at this hotel. Close to Holborn station with only a few stops to Piccadilly circus. Got an upgrade to an excecutive room :-) Highly recommended!

The staff at this hotel are probably the nicest and friendliest I have ever experienced for this type of hotel. The communal areas are really nice, recent refit, modern. Room was a bit small, and a little tatty, but location excellent. Would stay again without hesitation.

Very impressive first impression - the lobby is beautiful and the atmosphere overall is very upmarket and chic. I thought I was in for a real treat in my one night stay. I had picked the hotel because of the ideal location in central London close to my event and because of the Hilton name. Unfortunately, the location was just about the only thing that […] was right. - Internet service in the room was spotty at best. After several hours trying to get and then remain connected, I gave up. Ended up using my expensive US roaming service on my phone. Not looking forward to that bill when it comes in.... - I may have been particularly unlucky with the location of my room (which was nice and clean on the inside), but I spent the day in the room preparing for my talk later that evening. It was extremely noisy outside. Firstly there were two maintenance guys fixing door locks. The work itself was not loud, but they were speaking and slamming things so loudly. In the end, I had to take a walk outside on the streets of central London to get a break from the noise! Secondly, directly outside my door, there was a wooden plate in the floor. Everytime someone ran a suitcase or housekeeping trolley over it, it was like a freight train passing by. I am not especially sensitive to noise, but I did notice this a lot. Perhaps, as I said, I got unlucky with my particular room. - After my night, I was looking forward to breakfast and indeed, things at the start looked good. There was a nice buffet spread of cooked and baked goods. I got myself a large plate of English breakfast and sat down at my table. Then I noticed the hair floating in the top of jug of milk for tea/coffee. Not good. I then picked up my cutlery and noticed the spoon was stuck to the napkin... on closer inspection, a large slab of uncleaned jam was on the back of the spoon and had adhered it to the napkin as it dried. I had no idea how long it had been like that. So, really, that was me done with the breakfast..... Ove Lees meer

The hotel itself was very nice - comfortable, clean, friendly staff, and you can't beat the warm cookies on check-in. The location is just ok, though, with walking distance to the British Museum, but a tube trip required to get to most of the other tourist hot spots. Our room was also much smaller than the pictures online made it seem! I think this is a great place to stay if you're visiting London. The service is very good. The hotel is nice and clean. There was a fan in our room making some noise at nights. The sound was uniform and constant so it didn't bother me much.

I arrived at my room and the toilet did not flush. I had to tell them 3 times in two days. Every time, they came to "fix" the problem: the toilet flushed just once and then gave up again. One morning I even had to go to the toilet in the hall. Like a ** hotel. I also spotted a cockroach in the bathroom.

I recommend this hotel. It is clean, has a friendly staff and a superb location (a block away from the main entrance to the British Museum and the Holborn tube station, which serves the same underground line to Heathrow airport). The breakfast is really good despite the lack of variety. Overall the hotel was clean and efficient and one of the better ones for the price that I have used in London. My only comments are pretty minor: Check-in was good in that we were able to get into our room at 12:00 noon. I was surprised that I was not asked about alarm call, morning paper etc. Nor was I told about the location of the bar, restaurant […] and opening times for breakfast etc. That said the receptionist was polite and pleasant. I asked for and got a room on a high floor (tip to avoid traffic noise). Unfortunately the room was on the top floor and I think there must have been a large air conditoning unit on the roof above that hummed continually. The hotel reception and bar area are clean and spacious but the one lift is very narrow, not much wider than a door width. Location is very good with Covent Garden about 20 minutes by foot and Holborn and Russell Sq tube stations about 10 minutes in either direction. The local area feels safe and the street past the hotel has a good choice of small chain coffee shops and cafes etc. A number of North-South bus routes run past the hotel including one route directly to Trafalgar square. The hotel is very centrally located, which is great. We were a bit disappointed when we opened the door to our room because it seemed a little bit shabby, but it was very clean. We were on the third floor and not much modernization has gone on there I don't think. The breakfast was great with lots of things to choose from, the staff were very friendly, […] and the cost of staying here was very reasonable. So, all in all, it was absolutely fine. Very poor standard for a Hilton. Small room, bathroom freezing cold with a tiny electric towel warmer and shower was a dribble. Not what you expect from a 4 star Hilton.

Just had a great weekend visiting London for the first time with my 10 year old daughter. The hotel was ideal for doing the sights and for getting about by public transport. Staff were welcoming and friendly. Thoroughly recommend accommodation.

Some of the ACs/heating systems were not working properly, I had to go through a couple of rooms before they found one that functioned. Damp smelling bathrooms, cleaning staff did an ok job. Very helpful service staff, cental location, quiet, many cafes and restaurants to choose from. Had to pay to use Wi/Fi (it doesn't cost them more to give guest […] included WiFi, but of course it's a means for them to make extra $€£, should be included...£15/day, £9/2hrs, £5/hr... You can log on/off if you get the 1 or 2 hrs). Decent price for a small standard room in London. Lees meer

First impressions, very good. Nice touch with the warm cookies. Room was very clean however a little cold, could not get the thermastat to work. The hot water was luke warm. Apart from that all good. Upgraded to include breakfast for only a small price which was great for two of us,lovely selection of breakfat items. ideal for a night or two in the […] West end. Spent 2 nights in london, Hotel and Staff were top notch Location is central for shows in West end and Shopping is within walking distance also tube stations were close to get access to the Rest of London really enjoyed my Stay have recomended this to friends already hope to return soon Thanks

A great place to stay. Only one comment. For those who go to a west end show and can't get back in before 11.00pm, it would be nice if the bar, that still serves drinks, could serve small snacks, i.e. cheese and buscuits, rather than have to pay £4 for someone to bring it to your room, Therefore, we went without.

A very clean, modern hotel. We had a double deluxe room which was spacious and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was very good, plenty to choose from. The hotel is about a 15 - 20 minute walk from Piccadilly and other main areas.

This is a lovely hotel situated between Holborn and Russel Square tube stations, so with easy acces to both the central and the picadilly line. I really liked this hotel, the warm welcome cookie, the spacious room, very service-orientated staff and good beds. Smaller Bloomsbury hotel, recently renovated, very close to the British Museum and very convenient to tube and bus lines. Quiet comfortable room nicely but simply furnished (even a wash cloth, a rarity in the UK). Good staff assistance with directions, taxis, etc. Nice bar. Only complaint: one elevator out of service.

The Doubletree West End was perfect for our week of exploring London. It was a clean, comfortable hotel. The staff was helpful, particularly the desk staff. We loved having an electric teapot in the room. The hotel is just a few blocks away from the British Museum and Holborn tube station. With a 7 day travelers pass, it is easy to catch a bus or tube […] to almost anywhere you'd want to go. Covent Garden is also within walking distance. My daughter and I felt very safe in this neighborhood, even when we'd go out alone to one of the local coffee shops etc. This was an excellent base for our visit to London! Lees meer

The service was good and the hotel was clean. the bar food was good. the rooms were very small and because of poor sound insulation, you could people moving around around you in the different rooms and corridors - dont expect a sleepin, because of the poor insulation and the doors bang shut....the air conditioning is terrible....it is a type that is […] normally installed in offices....takes ages to warm up...very drafty and so not comfortable to leave on....water was not very warm for shaving....room card access system keep failing......overall very dissappointing... Very warm welcome with warm fire and warm cookies at reception! Very nice, modern clean room and bathroom. Comfy beds! Room very small compared to most hotel rooms although this is expected in central London and for the reasonable price. Simply put, there have got to be other hotels in the same price range with better service. Check in was annoyingly late as they apparently allow late checkout up until 4pm. Tried to order room service and the first call went to someones cell phone voicemail. Second call got through, but we could apparently only order like 2 sandwiches on the menu. Why […] bother having 24 room service as an option? Pret is 4 doors down, which is what we ended up doing. They screwed up the "upgrade for less" options we had and tried to double charge us on our way out. To top it off, there was some sort of event at the hotel that had a DJ. I can understand running until 11:30pm or midnight, but being forced to listen to a crappy DJ until 1am was ridiculous. They didn't cut the DJ off at 1am like they said they would. We had to call down and ask them to have him stop so we could sleep. Bottom line? Don't bother. There are plenty of options in the area and many closer to the tube stops than this one. We chose it as we've had good experiences at other DoubleTree hotels, but unfortunately this one came to embody everything Americans expect in the service industry in the UK which is that it's Non-existent. AC and heat didn't work. Staff didn't move me. When I left a belt in my room the staff said they check the room for it but couldn't find it. I ask the maid who threw it in the garbage. The shower is so small that you nee to turn side ways.

Decent location for walking to Bloomsbury, Covent Garden, theatres. My single room was very small, smallest single I've had in London. 15 pound daily charge for internet, that was wireless and extremely slow.I never got maid service going into my second day. Comfiest bed and quiet hotel room

This hotel has a great location. Room was very comfortable and clean. But there was no free Internet and no ability to make coffee or tea in the room.

We found the hotel very good for location, service. comfort and cost. Personally the decor was a little overdone for our taste but we found the room very comfortable and clean. The breakfast was excellent as was the service. I would revisit .
