Pluspunten: mooi modern hotel, prima bedden, airco goed afgesteld, lekkere douche, vriendelijk personeel, mooi dakterras, naast het centraal station (geen geluidsoverlast van treinen). Minpunten: standaardkamer was niet erg ruim en zag uit op andere kamers.

Opvallend veel slechte kritieken gelezen over de service en de keuken van het hotel. We zijn daarom buitenshuis gaan eten. Maar volstrekt ten onrechte. De service en bediening was prima evenals het ontbijt. we komen hier terug en blijven dan ook eten.

Prima hotel met goede faciliteiten. Personeel is vriendelijk, vooral in de bar. Je loopt zo de natuur in en de Soesterduinen zijn om de hoek. Zeker voor herhaling vatbaar.

Best Western Apollo Museumhotel ligt in het centrum van Amsterdam, op loopafstand van P.C. Hooftstraat, Rijksmuseum en Van Gogh Museum. In de buurt bevinden zich ook Stedelijk Museum en Heineken Experience.
Hotelvoorzieningen.
Dit hotel voor zaken biedt diverse eetgelegenheden, zoals een bar/lounge. In openbare ruimtes is een draadloze snelle internetverbinding gratis beschikbaar, terwijl de accommodatie over een werkstation beschikt. Dit hotel met met 3 sterren beschikt over zakelijke voorzieningen waaronder een businesscentrum en een secretariaat. Het personeel kan op verzoek hulp bij excursies/tickets, bedrijfsgerelateerde dienstverleningen en hulp bij excursies regelen. Extra voorzieningen in deze accommodatie in Victoriaanse stijl zijn onder andere meertalig personeel, een cadeaushop of kiosk en een wasserij. Gasten kunnen tegen betaling gebruikmaken van een shuttlebus van en naar het vliegveld (op verzoek). Dit is een rookvrije accommodatie.

Best Western Apollo Museumhotel heeft 188 kamers met airconditioning die zijn voorzien van een kluisje op de kamer en een haardroger. Elke kamer heeft flatscreen televisies met kanalen via de kabel. Alle kamers beschikken over een bureau en een telefoon. gratis lokale gesprekken zijn gratis (hiervoor kunnen beperkingen gelden). Gasten hebben gratis draadloos internet op de kamer. Extra voorzieningen zijn onder andere openslaande ramen en een klokradio. Daarnaast zijn op verzoek voorzieningen beschikbaar zoals een strijkplank/strijkijzer en een telefonische wekdienst. Een turndownservice is elke avond beschikbaar en een huishoudservice dagelijks. In Best Western Apollo Museumhotel mag niet op de kamers worden gerookt.
Afhankelijk van het hotelbeleid kan voor extra personen een toeslag in rekening worden gebracht.
Bij het inchecken dien je in het geval van incidentele kosten een erkend identiteitsbewijs en een borgsom in contanten of creditcard voor te leggen.

In de museumbuurt staan het Rijksmuseum, het Van Gogh Museum en het Stedelijk, de drie grote musea van Amsterdam. Het Rijksmuseum heeft een grote verzameling nationale kunst. In het Stedelijk wordt hoofdzakelijk belangrijke kunst van na 1945 tentoongesteld. Het Van Gogh Museum telt 200 werken van de meester. Het naburige Leidseplein is het centrum van het ruige nachtleven van Amsterdam, met beroemde clubs zoals Paradiso en de Melkweg. Bezoek er overdag het Art Deco Café Americain.

They forgot to clean the room during a two days trip. Breakfast is quite good, hotel location perfect for the musems.

Smallest hotel room i've ever been in, but comfortable bed. No coffee in the room, soap and shampoo were from squeeze bottles mounted on the wall. Great view of the canal. Front desk gave us a euro to USA outlet converter, free wife. Breakfast was 9 euros and was lots of varieties of bread, cereal, cold cuts. . "Close to museums, but really small rooms"
This hotel is nice, but the rooms are tiny. There is only a shower in the bathroom and you have to slide pass the toilet to get in it. It's fine if you don't plan to spend much time in the room. It's close to museums, but not much else.

The location was perfect. The room is overpriced. The bathroom was standing room only. The bed was like sleeping on a futon, it was so uncomfortable. "Great stay"
Let me start of buy saying that I have stayed in 3 different hotels in Amsterdam and this is my overall favorite. The location is absolutely fantastic! The hotel itself has a few things lacking but that is understandable considering the fact that that is how it is (at this price) over here. The view is great, proximity fantastic. Nice clean new renovated hotel, close to Leidseplein and city center. Small bathroom. Breakfast is ok (for approx 10 euro if you book the evening before), but you need to pay extra for eg, egg, omelett and fresh juice.

The location is perfect, but the bathroom wasn't very clean when I arrived. Also there was no hair-dryer in the room, though it was mentioned on a web-site. The smell of rotten vegetables was at the stairs all the time.

Nice Hotel, good location but make sureyou dont' stay in top floor rooms on right hand side when comming out of lift, THE NOISE FROM AIR CON SYSTEM/HEATING WAS LOUD AND UNCOMFARTOUBLE.
I have been to Amsterdam 4 times and this time I took a flight. If you are flying in bus 197 will drop you off at the end of the Apollo building. From the bus stop the next street and you are there look for the flags. I usually stay at Dorint but I did not have a car this time. The Hard Rock cafe is right arcoss the street and so is the Holland cansino. […] If you are interesting in the coffe shops I recommend Happy ppl which price are great. In the Apollo area costy. I went shopping in Gucci & was not pleased with the service in Chanel very rude. The hotel even kept our luggage so we could be free handed for check out. This is a great location so you dont need to catch a taxi's no where only if you would like. Great service at the Apollo, Im def going to stay there again. Lees meer

"Short Stay"
Compact and bijou is the quick description of the room (334). Ideal for couples, the bathroom fittings are all new and marble which is the best feature. Mattress is foam and gets hot during sleep but not uncomfortable in the winter (Feb.) A great location for Museums, shopping, etc - go for food in MOMO closeby for a treat. Stayed for 3 nights whilst attending a conference at Amsterdam RAI. Lovely area in the museum district within 5 minutes of good restaurants, 25 minute walk or 10 minute walk and 5 minute tram to RAI. Unfortunately the hotel itself is barely satisfactory with aged decor, very cramped rooms and a bar and reception area straight out of 1995 (and not in […] a good way). Reasonable location near the Rijksmuseum but slightly out of town. Room pleasant enough, bathroom slightly cramped. Free WiFi worked well.

"Good location, Tiny room"
It's a really tiny room, I should pay 25euro upgrade to deluxe room. There are 7-10 steps at the entrance, it's hard for me to come up with my heavy baggage. I like the location very much, good deal.

Nice hotel in a good location. Friendly helpful staff, free wifi lovely modern bathroom with loads of hot water. The rooms are a little small but you expect that in Amsterdam and it would have been nice to have tea/coffee making facilities in the room, otherwise it was good

we stayed three nights in a double room with free wifi. room was clean and elegant. One small problem we had was that a cleaning person left the used trash bag ON THE DESK. The most disappointing thing was that free wifi never worked for us. The signal was never strong enough and it disconnects so often that we had to spend one hour to check just a […] few emails. Upon arrival we we were kept waiting for around 15 minutes, this (we think) is beacuse they doubled booked our room. Room was very small, it was an ok stay for 2 nights and no more. "Excellent cheap hotel"
Great hotel, near everything and right next to a bus stop. Very clean hotel with rooms that are in great shape. Very reasonably priced. Rooms are a bit small, but that is the way it is everywhere in Europe. If I come back, I'll be staying at this hotel again.
