Prima verblijf gehad - makkelijk te bereiken met eigen auto - altijd ( gratis) parkeerplek. Wij hadden balkon aan het water - heerlijk om er na een dag op te vertoeven. Vraag om hoger gelegen verdieping. Onder het hotel zit nl. Een restaurant / bar. We hebben hier 2 maal ,s avonds lekker gegeten, wel zo makkelijk. Wij hebben de excursie citytour en cruise vanaf het hotel geboekt, dat was zeer handig, je werd bij het hotel opgehaald! Dit kost niets extra. Prima, lekker makkelijk, zeker als eerste hotel van onze rondreis.

Een hotel wat geschikt is voor een overnachting omdat je de volgende dag op een cruiseschip moet zijn als passagier of als bemanning.Kamer in orde en personeel correct.

Il Lugano is een schitterende accomodatie waar alles voor je geregeld kan worden of gewoon je eigen ding doen. Het is gelegen tussen het strand en aan het grote kanaal waar de meest interessante jachten. In buurt zit een supermarkt die 24 uur per dag open is en ook een zeer goed Grieks restaurant. Verder zitten de bekende zaken als Subway, Domino's pizza etc er ook. Parkeren kan voor de deur bij parkeerautomaten (USD 0,50 per uur / van 8:00 tot 18:00), echter max. voor 3 uur te vullen. Uiteraard kun je ook gebruik maken van de valet parking (USD 20 per dag). Leuk is om de watertaxi te doen, zodat je vanaf een bootje een leuke tocht kunt maken langs de schitterende huizen en adembenemende jachten. Opstapplaats voor deze watertaxi is op een aantal minuten lopen van het hotel, net aan de andere kan van de brug bij Hooters. Kortom een prima lokatie om van Fort Lauderdale te genieten!
Ligging.
Hilton Fort Lauderdale Marina ligt heel handig vlak bij de luchthaven in Fort Lauderdale, dicht bij Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention center, Port Everglades en Stranahan House. In de buurt liggen ook International Swimming Hall of Fame en Fort Lauderdale Antique Car Museum.
Resortvoorzieningen.
Hilton Fort Lauderdale Marina heeft een jachthaven, een buitenzwembad en een fitnesscentrum. Een draadloze internetverbinding is beschikbaar in openbare ruimtes (tegen betaling). Dit resort met 4 sterren beschikt over zakelijke voorzieningen waaronder een businesscentrum, vergaderruimtes voor kleine groepen en audiovisuele apparatuur. Dit resort met een groen/duurzaam beleid biedt diverse eetgelegenheden, zoals een restaurant, een zwembadbar en een bar/lounge. Het personeel kan op verzoek een huwelijksservice, een cateringdienst voor evenementen en hulp bij excursies regelen. Extra voorzieningen zijn onder andere een conciërgebalie, meertalig personeel en een cadeaushop of kiosk. Gasten kunnen tegen betaling parkeren.

Elke kamer heeft een balkon. Hilton Fort Lauderdale Marina heeft 589 kamers met airconditioning die zijn voorzien van iPod-dockingstations en een (laptop)kluis. Bij betaling van een toeslag kunnen gasten op de kamers gebruikmaken van een snelle internetverbinding (draadloos of via kabel) . Elke 32-inch lcd-televisie heeft premiumkanalen via de kabel en betaalfilms. Elke kamer beschikt over een bureau, een gratis krant en een telefoon met meerdere lijnen met voicemail. Elke badkamer is voorzien van make-up/scheerspiegels, een föhn en gratis toiletartikelen.
Elke kamer heeft een koelkast en een koffiezetapparaat/waterkoker. Extra voorzieningen zijn onder andere een strijkplank/strijkijzer en openslaande ramen. Bovendien kun je op verzoek gebruikmaken van voorzieningen zoals een turndownservice, hypoallergeen beddengoed en een telefonische wekdienst. Een huishoudservice is dagelijks beschikbaar.

Er zijn veel bezienswaardigheden te vinden aan de Riverwalk. Dit is de belangrijkste buurt van Fort Lauderdale voor kunst, entertainment en winkels. Hoogtepunten zijn onder andere het Museum of Arts Fort Lauderdale en de trendy Las Olas Boulevard. Het Broward County Convention Center ligt ten zuidoosten van het centrum. In de schaduw van palmbomen ligt de nabijgelegen promenade langs Fort Lauderdale Beach, één van de schoonste stranden van het land.

We kregen een kamer in een dependance/ je moet via buiten naar de kamer/géén entree-bewaking dus! In feite kan iedereen die dependance inlopen. Kamer was niet schoon. Badkamer: vuil in hoek, onduidelijke ongerechtigheden op vloer, spiegel niet gepoetst. Kamer: nog koffievlekken(?) vorige bewoner op nachtkastje. Geen uitzicht. Dependance wordt meestal […] gebruikt voor huisvesting cruise gasten, voordat ze inschepen. Het zogenaamde ontbijt in een deel van de entree/hal slaat nergens op. "H.M.H beste hotel voor je op cruise gaat"
Heel blij dat we dit hotel genomen hebben voor een verblijf van 2 dagen voor onze cruise. Daar ik een dropvoet heb en geen verre afstanden kan doen, was de ligging heel belangrijk. De watertaxi was vlakbij waardoor we toch veel van F.Lauderdale gezien hebben, echt een aanrader. De restaurantjes in de buurt vb de waterfront waren zeer gezellig en lekker. Wonderful way to start a great vacation cruising down the Keys. The Hilton was fantastic! Would go back anytime and stay longer.
Docked and stayed at the Marriott and only realized the name change when checking in. The hotel has gone down hill. We were very disappointed.
clean, comfortable room as all Hilton Hotels are. frustrating to have to pay extra for internet and parking, but nice otherwise

THERE ARE OLD ROOMS IN THIS HOTEL. IF YOU ARE PUTTING IN THOSE OLD ROOMS, YOU WILL FEEL LIKE IN A MOTEL RATHER THAN A REAL HOTEL.
"shouldn't be a hilton..."
Very old hotel with poor service. The dining rooms, including buffet, added 18% without letting you know ahead of time. Very outdated hotel as far as decor, appearance, and architecture. On the plus side the bed was new and very comfortable.
"Good for a one night stay"
We stayed one night at the end of a week long vacation in the Florida Keys, so although it was nothing to write home about, it served it's purpose. Plus is that it's convenient to the airport and dining. We self-parked which was a $21 charge and then had issues getting our car out of the gated self-parking lot the next day because we had already checked […] out and turned our card keys in. After 3 trips back into the hotel, we were able to navigate ourselves out, but it was a a pain. Also, the room had an unpleasant cleaning product smell so we had to open the door and let the fresh air in until we went to bed. The furniture is a little banged up and dated as well. "wonderful Hotel"
This was my second time staying at this hotel It is in a great location and has wonderful views. The hotel is very clean and well presented, the rooms whilst not large are well maintained and comfortable, I especially lover the overhead shower fitting in the bathroom. There is a pickup point right outside the hotel for the water taxi which runs a fantastic […] and very economical service to all the places you may wish to visit. "Dirty Hotel"
The elevators was dangerous and not maintained. The hallways were used to store the maids carts at nite. Hallways were dirty. The hotel did not disclose hidden charges like the cost of parking your own vehicle.

Very well located to tourist district with shuttle service to cruise terminals, airport and surroundsl. Pleasant helpful staff, though can get extremely busy especially due to large influx of cruise guests. Great hotel for pre and post cruises.

This is a hotel that caters exclusively to Corporate Guests and Conferences as it was overcrowded by these people. The occasional guests are placed outside the main tower since they are not part of the core business and that gives a bad feeling. They charge $10 a day for WiFi and $21 a day for parking and that was totally unexpected while any three […] star hotel has these services included in the room rates. That says it all... Lees meer

"Hotel in FortLaudardale"
The front desk was not friendly. The hotel is not that good. The rooms needs improvement. Carpet dirty.
"This hotel made a good vacation great"
I made this reservation off the web without seeing the hotel. I got great value for my money. This hotel offered all the accomodations of a resort except it was not on the beach, not a criticism at all I did not want the beach location. I was there for a fishing vacation. I was on the 8th floor over looking the pool, marina and view was north on the […] intercoastal. View up the intercoastal was just great I sat there for hours one day. Room was very comfortable, cleaning staff did a great job, tv was nice. Even the furniture on the outdoor deck of my room was good, comfortable, and in good condition. On several days I hauled tackle boxes and fishing rods thru the crowded lobby and was only greeted with remarks to the order of "what did you catch", no hassles period. Pool bar was nice atmosphere to sit after a day of fishing. Two dowsides were drink proces at pool ($24 for 2 rum and cokes) and beds were mushy but I like a hard mattress. Terrible service at this hotel due to large numbers of guests coming and going from the cruise ships. The hotel caters to the cruise lines and individuals do not get good service at all. Also one of the worst Pina Coladas I've ever had.

We stayed there before and after a cruise, both with "Oceanview" rooms. First time the view was actually into a porthole of one of the megayachts that park right next to the hotel. On the second trip we asked for more elevation and got a nice harbor view out of the 11th floor. Was very disappointed with this Hotel especially as a Hilton. Many people use this hotel as a stay over before there cruise. Therfore Friday night was very busy- but you would think the hotel would be prepared for this as it happens every week. I have been to this hotel for a get-a-way for three seasons in a row. I always love my stay and enjoy the service and sunshine. The only draw back is the cruises leave from right across the street and the hotel during a holiday weekend is completely packed. Everything was very good except the hotel doesn't provide shuttle to/from airport or port to cruise which a lot of other hotels does. We stayed at this hotel because our friends chose this hotel and wanted to be together.

The hotel was nice. Very convenient for people that are about to cruise. The bed was very nice, but the shower situation got out of control sometimes. For me the only negative was no hot tub. Great fitness center for the workouts I do. Good cardio equipment and the right machines and dumbells for a good weight workout.
We had drove from Key West expecting to check in at 3PM We were told we had to wait for the intermet service was down. We waited til 6PM we had been told they would call us on our cell phone or come to get us we waited at the outside cafe/bar. We had to ask the bar-tender to check for us @6pm told us we were set our room was ready, when we got to the […] lobby we waited in a line for another 15minutes. Dirty dishes was left outside our room from prior guests even when told the front desk they still did not remove the dishes. We left by 4:30am for an arly flight. We were charged for water in the room that wasn't there when we checked in. Refrigerator did not work, we reported it, no one ever came to fix it. We pulled it out and it wasn't plug in. "A nice comfortable place to lay your head"
My daughter and I enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The hotel was clean and we loved the views of the water and cruise ships. The balcony was both nice and large, which we throughly enjoyed. The bathroom was nice though a little on the small side. I loved the large removable shower spray. I've stayed in less expensive hotels and received much better service. Very expensive to eat in (ridiculous). No shuttle service although it seems that they offer one.Having water taxis and bus services nearby is very convenient. I would stay in the same area again but would try another hotel.

i asked for a rm with a view and got a rm that was supposed to have a view of the pool... , but all I saw were palm fronds. the receptionist was snobby. they had no shuttle to the cruise line across the street, or airport-- that was my reason for picking the location. you were not within waking distance of any restaruants aside from their pricey hotel […] one. the calamari I got at the poolside bar was HORRIBLE. the rest of the staff were pleasant, the rm was very tasteful, and I did make use of the local water taxi, but the other hotel I stayed at while in Hollywood, florida was much much more satisfying for the same price.And it had a wonderful jacuzzi, which the Hilton did not have. The staff was not to friendly at the hotel front desk. I was so excited to take my boyfriend there for his birthday an we paid a lot for one night stay. We couldn't even get towels to take a shower until the next day after we made a 3 rd call to house keeping, they had told us they were out of towels.

An awesome view out our window for all the boats coming into port. Each day we would go to sleep and awaken to a new cruise ship outside our balcony. Truly breathtaking!!!

I chose the Hilton at the Ft. Lauderdale Marina because I wanted a place close to the beach and my friend's house to rest at in style with my best friends! We had so much fun staying there. I wish we'd been able to stay longer! Not only did it feel luxurious, but the beds were comfortable and clean, the sheets were nice and soft and the shower was […] amazing. I didn't not want to get out of the shower at all. The shower heads were awesome! I felt like I was in a tropical rainforest or beachy rainshower. The pool was nice as was the surrounding area. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others. I wish I had been able to stay a little longer as my friends and I stayed only one night and we had gone out dancing until the wee morning hours.
