Windsor Court Hotel in New Orleans

due to recent renovations, prices have gone up but it's always been a perfect place to stay. Great location, excellent service and food, the staff is always gracious and helpful. And friendly.Highly recommend if price is not a factor.

Excellent Service

The location is wonderful, the ambience is incredible, the service impeccable, but eat out! While I loved the suite, the service and the overall genre of the Windsor I was very dissatisfied with the restaurant, but no matter it is New Orleans! This hotel used to be a premier property with outstanding service that all added up to make the price well worth it. Now the facilities are badly in need of refreshing and the service all too frequently leaves something to be desired. The workout room is essentially useless with nearly every machine broken. (They're renovating some floors apparently […] but construction started at 8:00 in the morning so that was not what you want on vacation either.)The concierges frequently seemed put out and their advice was out of their predetermined script...it was if they didn't listen or care about what your preferences were. Room and public areas look newly renovated. Great location next to jarrahs casino and just outside the French quarter.

This was the 2nd time that I chose to visit this hotel. I returned because I was told that renovations were being made. The shower had no hot water unless someone else flushed the toilet. The hairdryer and in room coffeee maker did not work. No TV in the bedroom but exposed cables. I won't be back a 3rd time.

A lovely hotel, highly recommend it to everyone, luxurious and friendly.

The service is always impeccable, no wait to check in, for valet, or anything else you need. Quiet, efficient service, in one of the most convenient locations in the city.

I cannot express how disappointed we were with this hotel. I had heard such wonderful things about the Windsor Court, but my experience there left much to be desired. This property is in serious need of renovation and does not warrant the rate they charge. The decor is stuck in the 80's. I think the only thing that has been updated since then is the […] coffee maker. I do have to say that it was very clean, and the valet service was great. Unless this hotel undergoes major renovations, we will not stay there again. There are too many other fine hotels in New Orleans to waste more money here. Lees meer

My husband and I booked this hotel for a one night getaway and it was perfect!! Service was unbelievable, room was spacious, the pool was beautiful, and the polo lounge was wonderful! Have already recommended to several others. We will definitely be back.

One of the best in New Orleans loved the stay, even the pool was outstanding, Loved the customer service and concierge was always on the ball.

Our room was vintage 1990 including the old style tube TV. Our bell hop told us the hotel was about to undergo a major renovation. It needs it. The service is second to none, the location is great and New Orleans is always fun. The Windsor Court has always had a reputation for it's service and the quality of it's facility. Really great hotel, wonderfully located, fabulous room. However, this hotel had the worst housekeeping of any upscale hotel that I have ever stayed at. They never emptied rubbish, they didn't replace coffee cups, they left pillows without pillow cases on the bed. Never picked up anything from the counters. The hotel was pretty, but the rooms are in desperate need of updating. Very old amenities. The photo's were very inacurate.

Outstanding hotel; exceptional service. We used our reward stay here, & I felt like royalty. When I asked my 9 yr. old son how he liked the room, he replied, "Room? You mean the apartment! I love it!" We had no sooner checked in, & someone beat us to the door to turn down our sheets, set out our slippers, etc. When I tried to pull back the curtains, […] I saw that it was offline, & the same lady called it in. Before she left, someone else was in to put them back on the track. Gorgeous at Christmas! Excellent location. Enjoy tea in the salon just off of the lobby for a more elegant time; go to Mother's on the next corner of Tchopitoulas (sp?) & Poydras for a casual bite to eat--debris po-boys, gumbo, etc.. We had an amazing time at the Windsor. The room was beautiful and, for it's size and opulance, was reasonably priced. The staff was very friendly. Our view was incredible. I can't wait to stay at this hotel again. If I had one idea for an improvement, it would be that the comforters and blankets kind of looked old fashioned. Hotel was beautiful and in a great location-convenient to the french quarter and most of the sights you'd want to see in New Orleans. Only complaint was that the room furnishings seemed old and in need of updating.

The Windsor Court Hotel is top notch, located near the riverfront and adjacent to the French Quarter. Upon checking in, there was a room snafu with the type of reservation, but the hotel did make it right. From food to service, I give this property an 5 star rating. Class Act!

We have stayed many times here since WC opened in 1984. It is and will be again a luxurious and gracious hotel. The common areas are fantastic and the staff is first rate. The rooms, however, are beyond worn out. The shower head did not deliver water, there were holes and stains in the carpet. Furniture dropped its drawers on our feet. Last night I […] spoke to the turndown attendant as I left for the evening, and they did not turn down our room. Not a big deal at a second rate hotel. A very good experience A very nice hotel with friendly staff. Close to downtown and french quarter.

This is a beautiful property with lovely furnishings, but was a little dirty. There was a half-used bottle of complimentary mouthwash in our room. The TV and the remote (cathode TV) did not work. There is an extensive collection of movies, but the (I do not lie) VCR did not work, either. Things seemed a little dingy. The pool, the Grill Room, the […] Polo Club Lounge were great. The Windsor Court exceeded my expectations - from the decor to the elegant swimming pool our stay was a wonderful treat. I highly reccomend a stay at this wonderful hotel.

I live on the Gulf Coast and have been a frequent visitor of New Orleans for many years but had never stayed at Windsor Court until recently. I love it!!....the location is perfect, the employees are all very accommodating, the room service was delicious, etc.. Great place to stay!!!

We travel to New Orleans at least once a year and this was the first time we'd stayed at the Windsor. Staff was professional & courteous, lobby/exterior of the property nicely maintained. Still a wonderful 5 star lobby,great front desk staff but the rooms and suites are in need of a serious makeover/new furniture.

We stayed in a suite with two small children and we were very pleased with the size of the room, quietness of the hotel, close proximity to the aquarium and children's museum among other things. We also felt that the surrounding area was really safe despite the feeling that New Orleans as a whole was not. The hotel surpassed my expectations and really made us feel as though we were important. Great place to stay! Great value, understated elegance.

This is a great hotel. Superior service, excellent location and stellar ambiance. While the rooms might be dated, this is truly one of few hotels we've been able to find that has charm, romance and mystery. IT was outstanding,it cost a penny but u will not regret a dime, especially the restaurant in the hotel is out of this world.I will stay here anytime i'm visting The Big Easy.

I have stayed ast this hotle multiple times in the last five years. It is beyond a doubt the finest hotel in New Orleans.

Luxurious French Hotel. Within walking distance of Bourbon Street, Audubon Aquarium, St. Charles streetcar, and Superdome. Friendly, Helpful staff. Nice in house restaurant and English tea room. Wonderful courtyard and good selection of artwork. Unique rooms that are well decorated, a flat panel TV upgrade would be my only suggestion. The room service […] was good with a nice selection, and a portion of the menu is available 24hrs a day. Valet takes all the hassle out of parking, but you are charged for it. The central location means you will hear the sounds of the city into the night, especially during busy times. Try to get a higher room on the riverside if noise is a problem. The Windor Court is the best hotel in New Orleans, excellent in every respect. I'll never stay elsewhere when I visit New Orleans.

I'm a frequent visitor and now visit for business. This hotel is expensive, but you do get what you pay for. Elegant furnishings, attentive staff, lovely restaurant, the works. It doesn't have a spa, but there are plenty within walking distance. They never say "no" to a request. Terrific hotel.

The first night stay was in a small room with excellent accomodations but the room had mold in the minibar refrigerator and ventilation. Next moring Ir equested just for th eroom to be more thoroughly cleaned and they reloacted me immediately without question into a suite. The front desk did not flinch an eye to accomdate me and was very impressed […] with the service. The hotel restaurant, The Grill and Polo Room outstanding with great entertainment.
