Vlakbij Times Square, beter kan niet. Ideaal hotel ook met kinderen. Kamers zijn prima, geen geluidsoverlast van straatverkeer. Behulpzaam personeel. Echt een aanrader.

Dit hotel is zeker voor herhaling vatbaar. Dichtbij de PATH trein naar NYC. Ontbijt en kamer waren prima!

Mijn dochter (10 jaar) en ik hebben eind april een week in Cassa Hotel and Residences gelogeerd. Dit naar volle tevredenheid! Het hotel ligt op ca. 4 minuten loopafstand van Times Square, de kamer was niet groot, maar prima voor ons verblijf. Er werd keurig schoongemaakt en al het personeel was uiterst vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Men is momenteel bezig met enkele verbouwingen aan het hotel (waar wij overigens totaal geen last van hadden!) die het hotel mijns inziens alleen nog maar mooier en completer in dienstverlening zullen maken. Wij hopen volgend jaar week een week in Cassa Hotel and Residences te mogen verblijven en raden iedereen die een goed hotel zoekt in New York dit hotel van harte aan.
Ligging.
Amsterdam Court Hotel ligt in het centrum van New York, op loopafstand van Circle in the Square Theater, Broadway en Ed Sullivan Theater. In de buurt bevinden zich ook Rockefeller Center en Times Square.
Hotelvoorzieningen.
Dit hotel in New York biedt diverse eetgelegenheden, zoals een restaurant en een bar/lounge. In alle openbare ruimtes is draadloos internet beschikbaar (tegen betaling). De accommodatie beschikt over een een businesscentrum. Het personeel kan op verzoek een conciërgeservice, hulp bij excursies/tickets en bedrijfsgerelateerde dienstverleningen regelen. Extra voorzieningen zijn onder andere meertalig personeel, koffie in de lobby en gratis kranten in de foyer.
Hotelkamers.
Amsterdam Court Hotel heeft 136 kamers met airconditioning die zijn voorzien van een kluisje op de kamer en een gratis krant. Elke televisie heeft kanalen via de kabel en betaalfilms. Gasten kunnen tegen betaling gebruikmaken van draadloos internet op de kamer. Alle bedden hebben een donzen dekbed en luxe beddengoed. Extra voorzieningen zijn onder andere een haardroger en een strijkplank/strijkijzer. Daarnaast zijn op verzoek voorzieningen beschikbaar zoals een koelkast en een telefonische wekdienst. Een huishoudservice is dagelijks beschikbaar.
Afhankelijk van het hotelbeleid kan voor extra personen een toeslag worden aangerekend.
Bij het inchecken dien je in het geval van incidentele kosten een erkend identiteitsbewijs en een borgsom in contanten of creditcard voor te leggen.

Natsumi Restaurant and Lounge - This highly rated sushi bar and restaurant (separately owned but in the same building as the hotel) serves cocktails, wine, sake, and Japanese-Italian fusion cuisine. The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner; the lounge is open from mid-afternoon until midnight.
The Amsterdam Court Hotel provides discounted passes to Gold's Gym, 2 blocks away. Central Park, a half-mile north, offers walking, biking, and running paths; birding; boating; and a host of other recreational diversions. With the famous Christmas tree sparkling above it, the Rink at Rockefeller Plaza—-also a half-mile from the hotel-—is a special treat during the winter holiday season.

De West Coast heeft dan wel Hollywood; maar de lampen van Broadway schijnen net zo helder en vele televisieacteurs komen naar de Great White Way om aan hun reputatie te werken. Tot de bezienswaardigheden in de regio behoren Carnegie Hall, Rockefeller Center, Radio City Music Hall en het Museum of Modern Art. De prachtige St. Patrick's Cathedral neemt een blok tussen Fifth en 50th in beslag. Op het ooit verwaarloosde Times Square vind je nu ABC, MTV en NASDAQ.

De locatie van het hotel is prima, maar de kamers zijn klein en gedateerd ingericht (oude tv, douchegordijn, weinig ruimte voor badspullen in badkamer) Wil je alleen een kamer om even lekker te douchen / slapen en de rest van de dag er op uit dan is het misschien prima, maar als je langer dan een uur op de kamer wilt zitten zeker geen aanrader.. ook […] werd het afval van het restaurant volgens mij opgeslagen op de eerste verdieping, hier hing een vervelende lucht door de gangen Lees meer
"Kingsizebed voor dwergen."
We weten nu wat een kingsize bed is . De ene rand stond op 20 cm van de muur, de andere rand stond op 30 cm van de wand waar de deur was. Achter het bed was net ruimte om te staan...alleen weliswaar. De hele kamer was gevuld met .....bed. De oppervlakte van het bed bood plaats aan BIJNA...... 2 personen !!! Een uit de kluiten gewassen 1-persoonsbed. Een […] kast of stoel of tafeltje...niet gevonden. Een kraaknette badkamer met een perfecte, gerieflijke grote douche. Dat mag gezegd worden. Het kamertje en de badkamer werden dagelijks perfect onderhouden ! Ideaal "verblijf" als je der alleen moet zijn om te slapen en het tussen jullie beiden nog romantisch aan toe gaat in bed. "Klein maar fijn"
Kleine kamer wel wel praktisch ingedeeld. Ook elke dag schone handdoeken en glazen. Alles was schoon en de prijs kwaliteit verhouding is dus meer dan genoeg.

goed hotel, kleine kamers met uitzicht op de brandtrappen maar als het goed is kom je er alleen om te slapen en het bed is prima. De service is goed en het hotel ligt echt nog geen twee minuten lopen van het bruisende hart van NY. Ook de hop on hop of bus start vlak bij. Dit hotel is en echte aanrader.

This is (at best) a 2.5 star hotel... more likely a 2-star. As long as you don't have any high expectations, and only plan to sleep in your room... no room to work in the room (no desk, a single chair that isn't really usable)... the room is really, really really small.

Read reviews before picking this hotel which were 50-50 pro and con, but took a chance because of its convenience and proximity to places we were going to. In a city where $400 a night rooms are the norm, the Amsterdam Court is a pleasant surprise in a terrific neighborhood. A close walk to numerous subway lines, as well as the dining scene on 9th avenue and the up-and-coming 10th Avenue bar scene. The rooms are small, but well-appointed. "Amsterdam Hotel in NYC"
This hotel is in a great location, great value for the cost, rooms and beds were very comfortable. A small issue - the radiator in the room had a tendency to start banging occasionally. Just often enough to make sleep a little difficult. Overall, though, a great experience!

Location was fab, 2min walk to Times Square but not too close that you're kept awake all night. Bed was HUGE very clean and very comfortable Linen was changed daily which is always nice and the cleaner even folded up my PJ's and put them on my pillow! very cute. I stay in hotels at all price ranges and when I'm in NYC this place doesn't burn my budget so I can go to great restaurants every meal, knowing I'm only spending 2/3 of what everyone else does on the room. "Great Location"
This hotel is at a great location but the staff is not jumping to help in any way. They seem very bored with their job and pass duties on to others and stand there to watch. The AC unit was VERY noisy - we had to buy earplugs. Good size bathroom (shower with no curtain or tub) and good size bedroom.

Everything in the hotel was clean and well kept. Staff was polite and helpful. Rooms were small but ideal for economizing on space and money. Saw five Broadway shows and walked to all of the Theatres. There is also free coffee in the lobby 'round the clock and it makes an excellent budget saver to have limitless coffee at your disposal. "Amsterdam Court Hotel - Convenience"
While the rooms are small and you can hear every peep from the neighboring guests, the hotel is in such a convenient location that if you need a place to crash out for the night it is a really good option. It's clean and not too expensive. The location is fantastic and the staff were very nice.

The experience was unfortunately not good. There was very little hot water, was unable to regulate heat, the staff was non responsive, the iron leaked water all over clothes and we were told that the pay movies were not available but then found out on the last day that they actually were available.

i really wanted to like this hotel, to have found a cost effective, very conveniently located, nice hotel in this part of NY. After a brief stay though, I understand why it has garnered an average rating. It was fine, but has some flaws. Rooms were clean, if worn. Staff were nice, if not overly warm. As others have noted, the standard room w a queen […] bed was a decent size by NY standards, although may not be best for two or more people. The location was great - just a few blocks from Times Square, near the subway, and easy walking distance to many of the offices and sites in that part of town. Unfortunately, as others have noted, being that close to both a major part of New York and a large construction site means considerably noise at all hours. Sirens and passersby throughout the night. Activity at the construction site next door starts at 7a (which the front desk neglected to mention when I checked in). This hotel may not be a good idea for those who wish to go to bed early or sleep late. The controls in my bathroom fell off of the wall as I tried to use them, so I ended up with a very cold shower that morning, for which the staff were apologetic, but there wasn't much to be done. If you need a passable hotel in this part of town for a short visit, the Amsterdam is passable and inexpensive, but not grand or recommended for longer stays. Lees meer

I didn't like the two nite I stayed there, it was too cold because the window can't closed, it has the air conflation, keeping the window opens, the heater was under issue, no control at the room, the hotel seems turn it on only at sleeping time, there neighbor is building and too much noise, the rest room so stuipd, it is too big, and the dish spreat […] water all around the rest room, all rest room got wet!!! "Amsterdam Court-great experience"
This was our second time at this hotel. The first time was about 8 years ago, prior to the latest renovation. We were comfortable our first stay and pleasantly surprised at the modernization since then. They are conveniently located just a couple of blocks from Times Square and accross the street from a theater and a wonderful Mexcian restaurant. This was a very good deal for the location. I cannot say enough about the convenience of being between two subway stations. One is literally right out the door! There are restaurants and bars attached to the hotel. Convenience! Great neighborhood. There is ongoing construction next door. I had a room facing the construction and believe me, it's a […] wake-up call. My next stay, I am going to have a room on the other side of the building. The bathrooms are a little bit dated with 80's style, Miami-Vice-like pink and turquoise tile. The shower was super HOT and great water pressure, but the tub was kinda rusted. The lighting in the room is very dim and the televisions are old style. For what I paid though, it's a great deal and I have reservations already for a return visit. It's a small room and small hotel. The bathroom could use some remodeling. However, it's not bad. It was a good stay for the price you pay. I was traveling by myself, so it would have been a tight squeeze with two people.

Within walking distance...hotel felt very small... Room was renovated...but still had a Tube TV... No safe in room. Desk safe ., did not feel so safe leaving items . Price ... You get what you pay for .

I had an amazing weekend but my stay at the Amstersam Court made it even more amazing. Their staff was friendly, accommodating, and very informative and hospitable. The rooms were comfortable, roomy, and spacious (for NY rooms anyway) The location is ridiculous. 2 blocks off Times Square. I am definitely going to return to this hotel
Very friendly staff. Walking distance to major attractions. Rooms are small, recommended for 1 or 2 night stays, but very clean. Bed was super comfortable.

I had a really nice experience during my stay at The Amsterdam Court Hotel, the room was very clean and the employees at the front desk were very helpful and kind. The rooms are a little small and the bathroom as well but it has a great location next to Times Square.

"Can't Beat the Location, but...."
The location of the Amsterdam Court can't be beat - 2 blocks north of Times Square, a half block to two different subway stations, and I booked the room at a decent price (special). The lobby has a modern feel, and guest services are reasonably helpful/welcoming. Upon entering the room, the first thing that you notice is how incredibly tiny it is (I […] am well aware how small NYC hotel rooms tend to be, but this was a closet to an extreme!). The room wasn't exactly dirty, but it just really had an "old" feel to it (from the carpets, to the chipping ceiling paint, to the bathroom colors, to the old TV set). There were just a few things that weren't quite right, either...the telephone was missing the sticker that told you what button to push to get the front desk, so I had to walk down to ask them to set a wake up call. Also, after the first morning when I took a shower the tub filled up (water well above my ankles). I told asked the people at the front desk to have maintenance take a look at it (and they quickly agreed), but upon my shower the next morning the same thing happened. It wasn't a *bad* stay, but for the price I think I'll try to find a different hotel. Lees meer

This hotel is comparable to other hotels like it that I've stayed at in NYC in the past. The rooms are small, not necessarily modern, but clean and very convenient. The radiator was in the corner farthest from the bed & it was 17 degrees out that night so it was a bit chilly in the room, and the shower was more of a mist than a stream BUT the water […] was hot and the bathroom clean. The restaurant in the hotel is exceptionally good, however, and on a cold winter night, it was wonderful not to have to bundle up to go out to eat and drink. I had a great stay at this hotel. My only issues were that it took over 4 hours and several calls to reception to get towels brought to my room when I had none. Also the way the shower head spit out the water was VERY uncomfortable. Aside from that - the location is amazing, bed was comfortable, tv was large - i would stay there again
"Hotel Amsterdam Court - False Advertising"
We chose this hotel for it's price and rating however the experience was not worth the cost. -The room fit a Queen bed and nothing else - Shower curtain didn't fit the shower therefore flooding was unstoppable - Evening receptionist was incredibly unhelpful with facial expressions I've only seen used by teenage girls - We utilized late check out at […] 1:00p instead of noon but were still interrupted by hotel cleaning staff at 9:00am - Room furnished with out of date technology i.e. tube TV and CD radio, not worth the pricetag Overall very disappointed with our stay.
