Vlakbij Times Square, beter kan niet. Ideaal hotel ook met kinderen. Kamers zijn prima, geen geluidsoverlast van straatverkeer. Behulpzaam personeel. Echt een aanrader.

Dit hotel is zeker voor herhaling vatbaar. Dichtbij de PATH trein naar NYC. Ontbijt en kamer waren prima!

Mijn dochter (10 jaar) en ik hebben eind april een week in Cassa Hotel and Residences gelogeerd. Dit naar volle tevredenheid! Het hotel ligt op ca. 4 minuten loopafstand van Times Square, de kamer was niet groot, maar prima voor ons verblijf. Er werd keurig schoongemaakt en al het personeel was uiterst vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Men is momenteel bezig met enkele verbouwingen aan het hotel (waar wij overigens totaal geen last van hadden!) die het hotel mijns inziens alleen nog maar mooier en completer in dienstverlening zullen maken. Wij hopen volgend jaar week een week in Cassa Hotel and Residences te mogen verblijven en raden iedereen die een goed hotel zoekt in New York dit hotel van harte aan.
Ligging.
Belnord Hotel ligt in Upper West Side in New York, dicht bij Children's Museum of Manhattan, Central Park en Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum. In de buurt bevinden zich ook Metropolitan Kunstmuseum en Lincoln-centrum voor uitvoerende kunsten.
Hotelvoorzieningen.
Draadloos internet is gratis beschikbaar in openbare ruimtes. De accommodatie beschikt over een een businesscentrum. Het personeel kan op verzoek bedrijfsgerelateerde dienstverleningen en verhuur van computers regelen. Extra voorzieningen zijn onder andere een wasserij, koffie in de lobby en stomerij-/wasserijservices. Dit is een rookvrije accommodatie.

Belnord Hotel heeft 119 kamers met airconditioning die zijn voorzien van een kluisje op de kamer. Elke televisie heeft kanalen via de kabel. Een draadloze snelle internetverbinding is gratis beschikbaar. Daarnaast zijn op verzoek voorzieningen beschikbaar zoals een strijkplank/strijkijzer en een telefonische wekdienst. Een huishoudservice is dagelijks beschikbaar. In Belnord Hotel mag niet op de kamers worden gerookt.
Afhankelijk van het hotelbeleid kan voor extra personen een toeslag worden aangerekend.

Dit New Yorkse hotel heeft geen eigen restaurant, maar er zijn talloze eetgelegenheden in de buurt, vooral op Broadway, Columbus Avenue en Amsterdam Avenue. Zabar's, het beroemde levensmiddelenwarenhuis op Manhattan, ligt op zeven blokken afstand. Dit is een geweldige plek om snacks of een volledige maaltijd te kopen, en heeft tevens een goedkoop café.

We zijn er met 2en drie nachtjes geweest, en hotel voldeed meer dan genoeg aan onze verwachtingen. We konden zelfs 2 uur eerder inchecken, en lekker genieten van een warme douche! Kamers zijn niet groot, maar alles is aanwezig en prima te doen voor een weekje! En helemaal voor 3 nachten! Staff waren vriendelijk, en faciliteiten zoals wifi gewoon aanwezig! Look, the hotel is clean and convenient to many of the attractions on the Upper West Side. That said, the rooms are shoe-boxes (I could almost reach both side walls with my arms laying on my bed and there must have been at most two feet between the end of the bed and the wall where there doors for the bathroom (also quite tiny and a bit difficult to […] navigate) and the closet). Further, the hallways are very narrow. And neither the rooms nor the hallways are carpeted, so you hear everything (including some concert outside that seemed to be going on until 2 AM one night). Ok, here goes. This place is terrible. No matter what anyone else says, beware! The room was smaller than my bathroom. It was so small and so noisy that my wife finally said, id rather drive home, and about 6AM, that is just what we did. "Just what you need to attend a conference in NYC"
Room was basic but very clean and comfortable and well serviced. No luxuries - no restaurant etc and no interaction from staff, but it was just what I needed - very good price and great location. And free wifi. Would definitely use it again.

I was looking for an overnight accommodation. It was just what I needed. I found the price a bit high compared with equivalent in Europe. But this is New York.
Reasonable price, great location, very clean, but without a doubt one of the smallest rooms I've ever stayed in.

Clean, smoll room in the great part of New York with meny good restorants and 7 min walking distance to the Central Park. Good price but not so much light in the room. It has a window with a wiew to the next building. Not breakfast serving. Generally not bad for the price.

"Hotel Belnord"
Having stayed at a hotel nearby I can give a better comparative. The Hotel Belnord has been recently renovated and the rooms are nicely finished, very clean and such, compared to another in the zone. The biggest problem/surprise was the tiny room size, about 7ft x 10ft, plus a small bathroom. Water pressure was great. Reception was helpful though slow […] processing check-in and check-out due to the fact there was only one receptionist receiving calls, etc. Reception are was large and clean. "Paper Thin Walls...."
made it impossible to sleep through the night. The elevator kept dinging and anytime someone walked down the hall you could hear it.
very tiny rooms. Wireless is patchy. Dont seem to care for keeping the rooms in order. overall clean. One day I had a water leak in bath, which they took crae of it immediately and my friend found a dead cockroach in tub. Great location near subway good places to eat/shop.

Front desk was unfriendly and not helpful. The rooms are TINY and there is no sound proofing so you can hear everything (and our room was near the elevator so you could hear everyone's conversations while they waited and the ding of the door opening and closing quickly got annoying). Right near the 1 train, which was convenient and the Upper West side […] is really nice and safe, but also not in the heart of the NYC action. "Belnord - Fine for the price"
Pro's: Great price for NYC, 2 stops from Lincoln Center, 5 min subway to Times Square, clean room, lots of towels, room heated up quickly when temperature was adjusted. Con's: The shower was freezing and then boiling - no comfortable temperature. Rooms are tiny. No clock/radio. Bottom line - You get what you pay for, but for one night it was just […] fine. The location is perfect and the hotel is reasonably priced. We were thrilled to find this hotel for our first visit to the city. It was 1/2 block from the subway line that we always seemed to need. Checked in late at night and was directed to a deli at the end of the block in response to my request for ice. The bathroom was nicely appointed but the shower head blasted water (not adjustable) so hard against the opposite wall of the shower it created a puddle that spread around most of the bathroom floor in seconds. Way overpriced for no coffee, no closet, intermittent hot water, no place to hang anything even on a hook. Beds were lopsided and the hotel was very loud. Neighborhood was noisy and cleaning staff spoke very loudly in the hall for about 45 minutes at 6 am. Free wifi was also intermittent. Useful to have computing and printing facilities for printing off boarding pass ($2 for ten mintues) and free wireless and use of a hairdryer was a real help.
