The band playing in the hotel lounge upon arrival (4:30 PM) was very loud and very inappropriate for the setting.

Excellent Experience, great hotel, best location and our Bell Captain "Willie" was the best!

Ask about internet when you check in - do not pay for it! I went to the spa at 8am wanting a massage ASAP and was told 4pm. They did not cater to my needs as they were inflexible. They made it very clear that they were not associated with the hotel as well. My husband had a great experience with them. Valet was very expensive. Beautiful views of downtown Philadelphia from ballroom on top floor. Very courteous and helpful staff. It is an old building and hallways and elevators reveal the building's age. Rooms are slightly on the small side, but tastefully decorated and very clean. Convenient location and close to everything downtown.

They book my room on a floor where they are stripping and waxing the floors all night. I finally called the front desk to complain at 1:30am and they told me that they would stop immediately, 15 minutes later they call back to tell me that they can't stop. After a long pause and silence on the phone, and I reminded them that I paid a lot of money for […] the room,asked me if I would like to move to a different room. First of all, the staff was wonderful - friendly, caring, and efficient. The hotel is across from the Convention Center and close to Reading Terminal Market, an indoor marketplace with food of every kind. It's also within walking distance of Independence Hall and other historical sites, as well as City Hall and the theater district. I absolutely loved […] my stay, in a corner room on the 19th floor. From my windows, I could see so much of the city, including the statue of William Penn atop the City Hall building. The king-sized bed with all its pillows was so comfortable. The only negative thing I can say is that, after paying quite a lot for the room, I also had to pay more than ten dollars a day for an internet connection in my room. For the price paid, I expect high a quality hotel. Unfortunately my room was literally next to the elevator, so I could constantly hear people talking. Had to pay extra for internet access, yet the connection was slow. Also the newspaper didn't arrive the second morning. Every employee of Loews who we came in contact with was cordial and very helpful. I would say they have earned an A+. The decor is attractive, the hotel is well maintained and the location is excellent. We were very satisfied with our room. Most courteous and helpful hotel staff I've found. Large, comfortable rooms. Perfect downtown location. It has become my favorite Philly stay.

disappointed that wi-fi was not free. They charged $11 per night for it.

We love the Loews in Philadelphia for many reasons - their staff is always extremely helpful and friendly, the location is perfect, the property is great and LOEWS LOVES PETS and our 4 legged baby loves it there and they love her............ :)

Old fashioned hotel: nice size rooms and bathroom. skip the swimming pool: water is too cold for PA winter!

Awesome experience at the Loew's hotel in Philly! Very convenient location within walking distance to many great "must see's" in the area including City Hall & the performing arts district. Hotel staff was knowledgeable, friendly and responsive to my needs. I left my credit card at the hotel restaurant and didn't realize it until the next day (& was […] in a panic!). No worries however as the hotel security Manager (Tom) had kept it safe & sound for me!! Did not expect to pay $45 for parking!! other than that it was a nice experience. Room service was nice. everyone was friendly and generous. Would go again.

Overall a great place to stay. Well designed and clean hotel in great location. Only small drawback is a bit of wear and tear showing. Well appointed rooms and decor. The HVAC is superb as most hotels have loud/ineffective units. This one is quiet and consistent. Just a nice place to stay away from home.

The hotel was nice, the lounge/restaurant called SoleFood was great. I would only say that they need to pay attention to details. The pillow shams did not look clean. Some of the towels had stains on them and the silver trays and cases in the bathroom were dirty--they had water stains on them that were not cleaned off. Nice hotel for the money. Great location on Market and 12th in Center City. We opted for the corner room and were rewarded with HUGE window on two wall looking out over half the city. Get a room on a high floor for the best views. Bar area looked nice. Wine selection from Room Service was (no surprise) overrated. The first time I stayed here, they didn't have the room I paid ahead of time for (I got a king and a cot instead of 2 queens) even though I got there right at check-in time. The second time I stayed here, check-in went smooth, but when I got to my room, it hadn't been cleaned after the previous occupant had left. This hotel was the best my sister and I have ever stayed in. When we had to wait 10 minutes to check in, the hotel upgraded our room for free to the Penthouse. The staff was friendly and helpful. The view was amazing. The location was superb. We were within walking distance to every attraction we wanted to see. I would recommend this hotel to anyone […] looking for a upscale complete Philadelphia experience. The medium priced room was worth every penny. Front desk was great. Comfortable rooms and great service.

I've stayed at this hotel many many many times in the last five years and it has not changed much in all that time. It's definitely in need of a refresh, especially in the room decor. Most other hotels have removed the large armoire/tv cabinet and moved to tables for a more open feel The desk is outdated and i've never understood why hotels insist […] on a chez-lounge or recliner in the room, it simply takes up a lot of much needed space. The bed is more than adequate to sit on and watch TV from the bed. If you need to work, there's a desk. The beds are comfortable and LOEWS have moved to douvet's which is nice since the old fashioned thin comforters are not very nice. The linens have always been clean, as have the bathrooms. I nearly always find a lot of dust in the rooms, especially on top of the armoire since I'm tall and I see it. I'm sure the cleaners don't think of it. Food is ok in the restaurant. I don't think the breakfast menu has changed in many years and is somewhat boring now. All in all, it's a good hotel in an ok part of town but it needs a new refresh in the rooms from furniture, to beds to TV (seriously, an old tube tv, I haven't owned a tube TV in over 5 years?!), to carpets, to bathroom tiling and new ironing-boards/irons. Since it's dated I've started using different hotels in the area such as the Marriott over the road which has been updated. Lees meer

Loews Philadelphia is a very nice hotel in a good location. This was our second stay. Service is good, personnel nice and very helpful (and personable). There were some bumps: some bad food from room service, one night our room was not cleaned, parking rates were not clearly posted.

Great location in the middleof everything, and across from subway. THe staff wer exeptionally helpful and frienldy. Loved the fitness room and lap pool also. ONly compolaint.....wireless should be free.....what a hassle and super expensive. If you joined thier loyalty program, you got it free, but if you didn't know to ask, you paid $10 a day. Staff was very nice, rooms were very clean and the surrounding sites were only blocks away. Sites at night were magnificent from our rooms. Will stay at the Loews Hotel when we stay again in Philadelphia.

It is an excellent hotel, however too expensive once it doesn't include breakfast or internet. As we book a Luxury room for three persons, we were expecting larger beds and not double/full beds. But, overall, all staff is really friendly and the place is great and very well located.

Nothing but good things to say about this hotel. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Right down to the free coffee in the morning. Would def stay here again!

The Hotel is in a great location and fun old building. The staff at check-in and the concierge desk were brilliant and helpful. The facilities for working out are very good as well.

I stay here every year for the Mid Atlantic Irish Dance Competitions - great property, very clean, no wonder they crack to top 500 each year. Nice to be close to the event but not at the event...calm atmosphere... Will be back next year for sure...

This hotel was very nice and clean and smells mean alot to me. I think the parking was a little high $42 a day, but there is alot of garages near by for half that. The staff was welcoming and very courteous.

I've stayed at this hotel on a few occasions. It's very nice and comfortable. The bath products are great. They do allow dogs, so may not be good for anyone allergic.

I picked this hotel based on location and other ratings. I was very pleased!!! The staff was extremely pleasant and helpful. The rooms was extremely comfortable. The area around it was very nice and had great access to tourist stuff and also great local places. The room size was fair, the beds and pillow were fantastic. One great thing was that the […] bathroom was very spacious so it made the room a little smaller but it was worth it. The hotel itself was picturesque. The valet parking staff was enjoyable and the valet it worth it because its as much in and out as needed and you didn't have to worry about finding parking somewhere else in the city. I would recommend this as a great investment, no hotel stay is cheap in the city, but the location and staff and comfort made this an excellent stay. Lees meer

This is the second time we have stayed in this hotel. It was clean, spacious and in a convenient location to historical sites and great eating. I would definately recommend staying here. The hotel staff was friendly and very helpful with recommendations. The city bus tour has a stop right across the street.
