It is close to the subway station to the city center. It has parking spaces and a pretty good neighbourhood where I felt save as a I traveled on my own. Next time I would stay there again.

Beoordeeld door een gast van Hotels.com op 2 feb, 2013Dit hotel is ongetwijfeld een van de beste, zo niet de beste, van alle hotels waar ik ooit in verbleef. Het is verbonden aan het Rennaissance Inn en deelt daarmee zwembad en fitness. In het Residence inn zijn de kamers bestemd voor wat langer verblijf incl. keuken met afwasser. In het zusterhotel zijn de kamers wat kleiner, maar erg smaakvol en ruim. In Residence is de kamer ( suite!) top met uitstekend groot bed en alle denkbare zaken. Het hotel is door de week nogal prijzig, maar in het weekend is het zeer betaalbaar. De ligging met een gratis shuttle naar Ronald Reagan Airport en naar winkels en restaurants is zeer comfortabel. Parkeren kost usd 25 per 24 uur, maar in het weekend kun je de auto ook gewoon op straat, gratis, parkeren. Ontbijt is geweldig.

Alleen de ontbijtruimte is zeer ontoereikend voor de vele gasten. Het was bijna dringen en wachten op een vrije plek, mede door het vroege eindtijdstip 09.30 am van de ontbijtsessie.

First I would just like to say that the Jefferson exceeded my expectations with regards to attention to detail and overall satisfaction with our stay. I planned a nice little getaway for my wife and I to celebrate our 9th anniversary. I mentioned this in passing to the front desk when I booked the reservation. And to both our delite they really listened. […] When we arrived for the actual date they not only upgraded us to a larger suite (free of charge) but had champagne and chocolate covered strawberries waiting for us. To be quite honest we werent expecting much because we didnt make a big deal about the anniversary it was just mentioned during conversation. They also left us some very nice personalized notes from the management team. These little touches really sold us on the Jefferson. The hotel itself is very nice warm and inviting. It has a somewhat historic feel to it, which is what they were going for in honor of Thomas Jefferson of course. It's a nice tribute to Americana. The reading room was inviting and cozy and the room was well situateed. Overall it was a very pleasing stay and one which we would certainly repeat again and again. Walking distance to the White House, well located. Quality, refined, tasteful design and decor. Very helpful staff and concierge. Our stay at the Jefferson was wonderful from start to finish. The hotel staff were so helpful and friendly as the hotel was small and personal. The bed was huge and the most comfortable we had ever slept in with silk sheets! Pleasant and attentive staff. The room is very comfortable with a bed so soft you don't want to leave! Decor is very tasteful and typically "Washingtonian" class. "Luxury"
This hotel is fabulous. Beautifully decorated, luxurious finishes throughout, incredibly comfortable beds, superb bathrooms. My very minor gripe would be the size of the room - there wasn't much floor space around the huge bed - but that certainly didn't detract from my stay. The layout of the ground floor public rooms was a little strange, but none […] the worse for that. Quills bar was cozy and buzzy, with a great range of cocktails. We didn't have breakfast in house during our stay, but did dine in the restaurant one evening: cuisine quite 'haute' ... with prices to match. Staff were superb: helpful, unobtrusive, polite - consummate professionals. I can't fault any of them. The hotel's about 10 minutes (walking) north of the White House and while there isn't much that's 'touristy' in the very immediate vicinity, you can easily reach wherever you want to visit by Metro, taxi, on foot or (if you're lucky enough to time it right) via the hotel limo. "If you go, go big"
This is obviously a very nice hotel and the hotels.com rate allows us more frugal types an entry point. The architectural nooks of the hotel are delightful if you use them. If you're just going to walk by everything without taking the time then I wouldn't spend the money to stay here - you can always walk in and have a look and get a drink at the bar. The […] bar (Quill) by the way is excellent with great ambiance and crafted cocktails. Being so great, they don't come cheap. As I said - if you go, go big. The room we were given was next to the elevator and was without view. In fact, they apply a fancy film cover to the window precisely so you can't see what's outside your window, which are ducts from the adjacent roof. That said, the hotel is only four floors, so I doubt there's much of a city view to be had out of any of the rooms. The bed is very comfortable and the shower is the best you'll ever find in the world. You'd think that's not a big deal, but when you've been walking around DC all day it really is. We ate a Plume and it was one of the best restaurant experiences we've ever had, although they obviously set us in a tucked-away corner away from the more famous architectural elements that the restaurant is known for. If you make a reservation, be sure to specify your desired location. Regardless, we greatly enjoyed our meal and payed mightily for it. If you go, go big. We showed up in a SuperShuttle and felt very out of place. We really should have taken the town car. If you go, go big. We showed up for breakfast prior to our outgoing flight and didn't get the impression we were highly welcome in our plane-ready attire. If you go, go big - and dress nice. The metro is not very close to the hotel - a few blocks away and the city blocks in DC are rather large. Plan on walking or having personal transportation available. The neighborhood is comfortable, feels safe, and has a few decent restaraunts at affordable prices nearby. If you're prepared to take the Lees meerGecontroleerde Hotels.com gastenbeoordeling

"Very friendly hotel"

The hotel is just up the road from the white house. And there is a metro station 2 blocks away which doesn't even take 5mins to get too. You can walk to all the sites from the hotel and if you don't like walking just hop on the metro. The staffs are very friendly and the rooms are very clean.
