The "house" we got this time was outdated with green plastic mini blinds and dirty green carpet. I was very disappointed since we have stayed here before and the unit we were assigned then was completely updated and very luxurious. We brought a guest from France this time who owns two hotels and so I was of course embarrassed of the condition of this […] unit compared to the one I had raved about. The manager explained that each unit is individually owned. The downside is that you pay the same amount for each type of room ( Forest View or Creek View) but rates do not fluctuate depending on the condition of the property. Overall, I would rate this hotel "Outstanding". The staff was lovely and the accommodations were excellent. The only thing I did feel was slightly misleading was the "creek side" upgrade. I would have never paid the extra money. There was a creek at the bottom of a steep cliff with a tiny glimpse of water through bushes. Stayed here on our honeymoon. Property was beautiful, staff was friendly, and room was comfortable, spacious, and clean. Would definitely stay here again!

The condo was fabulous - private hot tub was great! Beautiful view of the forest and creek. Staff was very helpful and friendly.

the room and hotel is amazing- fire place added wow factor-beautiful and breath taking property and surrounding- unfortunately, cellphone did not work- wifi strength was not strong enough to enable browser to do face time

We were very pleased with the quality of of our one bedroom unit with full kitchen. This is a gem hidden in the trees of Oak Creek Canyon. We enjoyed the kitchen with granite countertops, the decor giving an upscale home-like feel and the large deck. The natural stone fireplace had prapared wood ready to burn. I wish we had planned to stay longer.

We spent one February night at the Junipine resort and had a great experience. It was quiet and peaceful, the room(s) were very comfortable and beautifully decorated. Very friendly service at the desk and restaurant. The huevos rancheros were fantastic. The only minor drawback is the 7 or 8 mile drive into Sedona. The Junipine is an aging property--but well maintained with huge decks overlooking Oak Creek. The resort had a week-long holiday closure of its restaurant that wasn't posted before we made our reservations. That proved inconvenient, but the kitchens in the units are complete enough that we simply bought groceries in Sedona and cooked our own meals.

This place is unbelivable. About 7 miles outside Sedona, situated between mountains and near a stream, this is a great place to stay. Our room was huge - we had a pre-made woodpile ready to be lit, the decoration was great, the bed super comfortable, and our bathroom was fantastic. This resort is in a beautiful, serene location outside of Sedona. If you're looking to be in walking distance of all that Sedona has to offer, Junipine won't be for you. But if you're looking to escape and loll around by the creek, sit in front of a warm fire, and spend some time away from it all with your loved ones, this is a great choice. We are […] a 30-something couple but it seemed that most of the other guests were older couples and families with young kids. There's plenty of exploring within an easy hike of the houses, and there are on-site laundry facilities. Our house was well appointed, with very comfortable furniture and was the most spacious of all the places we stayed during our travels. We loved being able to make breakfast for ourselves in the mornings and not have to worry about making it to a crowded dining hall by a set hour for breakfast. The only big negative from our stay at Junipine was the interaction we had with the staff. Check-in was fine, they were friendly enough. On our second night we planned to have dinner at the restaurant and headed over there more than 30 minutes before the posted closing time. The door was locked, though there were people in there. We were told that they closed early because only one table of diners had shown up. They were very rude to us- no apology or offer to help us find a Plan B. We were simply directed to a book with restaurants in Sedona- 8 miles away on a dark and winding road. Not very helpful. Lees meer

Wonderful hotel/condo!!!!! Great service at the front desk, booked a terrific Wine Tour and great restaurant recommendations. The condo had everything you would ever need including two fireplaces (with firewood delivered daily) We can not wait to go back.

What a beautiful place to stay, they have a fireplace in your bedroom and in the living room..I will definately go back again..The staff is friendly and they even have free movies to rent...

A beautiful location, nestled among the pines in Oak Creek Canyon. This was a romantic getaway and we couldn't have been happier. The staff was friendly and warm, and we got firewood every day for the cozy fireplace. The cabin (#15) was huge and well appointed, updated with nice granite counter tops and fairly new carpets. These cabins are probably […] 1970s, so they are not brand new, but we loved it. In addition to the master suite with a very comfortable King bed, there was a loft with two twin beds and another bedroom and bathroom with two doubles. It would have been perfect for a family get-away, too. We had a "canyon view" room and it was delightful. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals, and we enjoyed a "to go" dinner from the Cafe (not open on Sunday or Monday). There is no cell service which was kind of nice, but we did have wireless internet service the entire time, so texting worked just fine to keep in touch. Things sometimes happen, understandable... but... We requested a unit with two bedrooms, one for my wife and I, one for our 11 month old son, and crib, through Expedia at the time of (telephonic - I explained what we needed with a very friendly Expedia booking agent) booking. Early on the day of arrival I phoned Junipine to check that they had received […] this request, and they hadn't. The person I spoke to at the hotel assured me that all would be ready when we arrived that evening. Upon arrival in the evening, the unit allocated to us did have two bedrooms, but each was on different levels with a flight of stairs in between, and no crib. The on duty staff kindly allocated us another unit that "had two bedrooms on the same level" and went about looking for the crib. On repacking and moving (without help) to the new unit we realized that it too had two bedrooms on different flight of stair separated levels, to which the friendly check in clerk responded "we did give you an upgrade with a jacuzzi". Very nice, but they clearly just don't get it. The units are individually owned and rented out. What we observed is a wide range of decor, some nice, some not nice, but all that we saw is in need of renewal. Location is high on Oak Creek Canyon, mountains, stream, forest... a drive to Sedona or Flagstaff, not a good location to use as a base for Sedona but good desert antidote. Stock up with food and drinks at the Safeway in Sedona before heading up to your unit. Lees meer

This was a perfect honeymoon resort. It is nestled up in the mountains. There is a fireplace in the livingroom and bedroom. The entire accomodations are comfy and enjoyable.

This was a wonderful place to spend a few nights. The view from the Creekhouse was awesome. It was very comfortable and roomy, the hardest part was leaving it to spend the day touring around Sedona.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. I would rate them a 10. But the room was a disappointment for the price paid. Very dated decor and appliances. Our room had a musty smell. If you wanted your sheets changed there was an extra $25 charge each time that was done. Never heard of such a charge. Especially when you are already paying several hundred dollars […] per night. Even Motel 6 will change your sheets as part of your stay. You have to call and request any refills on shampoo, trash emptied, etc. Lees meer

We spent a romantic night away from the kids & it was great. Would be a great place to take family members and kids to...as it was a large enough space for a weekend getaway with everyone. We felt like much of the space we had went un-used and will be returning with the family in the future.
