Holiday Inn Express Glasgow Theatreland in Glasgow

My friend and I stayed here for 1 nite when we went to see a show at the Pavillion Theatre. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was very clean and tidy, rooms very comfortable, small but good for just a one or two nights stay. Had a very enjoyable stay staff friendly and helpful. Right in city centre so not far at all to get to all the shops and restaurants. Even went to a midnight late movie only a 2minute walk back to hotel. Would certainly book again.

The Hotel was very friendly. the only fault was the noise from outside .didn't sleep at all due to this.

I chose this hotel because of its excellent location. Very close to Buchanan galleries and the subway station. Also only a minutes drive off the motorway. Car park across the road is convenient although expensive. As I was accompanied by a 4 year old, breakfast was great. Pick your own table, help yourself to what you want. Choice of hot or cold drinks, […] toast, pastries, yoghurts, cereals, fruit and even sausage, eggs and beans. Although the hotel doesn't have a restaurant there is a pizza restaurant right next door and the fancier La Bonne Auberge restaurant at the sister holiday inn hotel a minutes walk down the street. I was in a room facing the street and heard a small amount of traffic noise but not enough to disturb me. Overall an excellent hotel for the price right in the centre of Glasgow. Lees meer

Spent one night in Theatreland after trip abroad. Lovely central location.Breakfast was excellent.Staff very helpful and friendly.

This is an excellent hotel in the very centre of Glasgow close to the M8. The staff are courteous and friendly. Great value for money - highly recommended

Great for transport and Celtic connections.

Staff were mostly very helpful and the room was always sparkling clean. Small rooms with very little storage space, small but efficient bathrooms, street noise wasn't bad for second floor room, but the road was partially closed during our stay! Very convienant to shopping and restaurants, a practical choice, no luxuries here!

Ideally placed hotel in centre of city but not affected by traffic noise. Good breakfast and helpful staff who arranged delivery of small evening meal from restaurant next door (which was fully booked long before we arrived). Good base for sight-seeing and entertainment e.g. Celtic Connections in January.

Very much enjoyed my stay at this hotel, great location in Glasgow, room was great, service was excellent - had an early departure and they had no problem letting me into the breakfast room early so I could eat the included breakfast before I left. Only quibble was I couldn't find any spare blankets anywhere in the room and it was pretty cold (early […] December). Would definitely consider this hotel again next time I go to Glasgow. Lees meer

I was deciding between Holiday Inn or Holiday Inn Express during my recent stay in Glasgow which is just next to each other. Having read most of the review, I decided to book Holiday Day Inn Express as it is cheaper by a bit and was reviewed to be less noisy. I reached around 11+AM, drenched as it was raining heavily and my partner and I walked from […] the train station to the hotel. Was told the check-in time was 2PM. So we had to leave our bags with the hotel and went to have a walk in the rain. I have checked in other Holiday Inn Hotels and they were always considerate enough to check if the room was ready for our check in even before the check in time. As I've requested for a quiet room, we were given a room on the furthers. Which suits us well. The room was clean and comfortable. The room, however, is not fitted with an air-conditioning and only comes with a heater. It is ok as we went during the winter months. However, if you wanted to have a bit of fresh air by opening the window, it will be noisy. I can even hear the rubbish collector doing their job during wee hour. If you close the window, it will be too humid with the heater on. With such basic facilities, this hotel is considered expensive. The one reason that convinced me to book this hotel is the location of it. Lees meer

Travel to this hotel every year for Christmas Shopping, find location very convenient, staff very friendly. Great hotel, great price, car parking reasonable deal with Buchanan Galleries. Would definitely recommend.

hotel very convenient for shops and cinema and plenty of choice for eating.Hotel a bit expensive for what it was but you do get the convenience.

Within walking distance of downtown, theatres, park, mall, shopping, restaurants, street entertainment. Very helpful staff. Somewhat noisy at night - street noise.

Convenient hotel close to all major attractions. Comfortable beds in well appointed room. Good heating and lighting. Good bathroom. Powerful shower with plenty of hot water. Good choice at breakfast although breakfast room is rather small and can become crowded.

I booked a King non smoking room. We were given a twin smoking room that absolutely stank.Even when we left the window open all evening. We were told that there were no rooms left to move us. If we had got it at a bargain price it wouldn't have been so bad but we paid full rate for it, not good enough.

Clean, conveniently situated downtown, and wonderful value. Haven't come across a better deal in Glasgow.

this hotel is great destination for city centre shopping and going to theatres in glasgow, its clean and staff were very helpfull and very nice, continental breakfast good but the hot choice not so good could be better.

Just home from Glasgow. Hotel could not have been in a better possition. Very clean,warm,and friendly. Staff on desk very helpfull.

Room was very small and a bit smelly. The bed was way too soft and cause us the back pain, (v r 40). Breakfast was regular, nothing fancy. Anyhow, the manager was very helpful and nice, surroundings were great...everythings in walking distance...but no parking, have to park opposite & get validate from the hotel at the good rate.

In thee weeks of touring Ireland and Scotland, the Holiday Inn Express Glasgow Theaterland was the best hotel we stayed in. Everything about it was as close to perfect as possible.

Excellent hotel for stopover in Glasgow - have used it before. Friendly, helpful staff. Good breakfast. We found it good value for money.

A basic low(ish) cost hotel that does the job nicely. Very convenient to rail station and Concert Hall. Breakfast a little too basic but overall everything was in order and to a good quality.

I was staying in Glasgow with my father to watch the Celtic v Aberdeen match. We usually come up to Glasgow 2 -3 times a year and stop with another well known chain of Hotels. However as this Hotel had a very good offer on the internet at the time of travelling i decided to stay here. We were not disappointed. Friendly, helpful and efficient Check […] in staff (We arrived 2 hours before check in, but were still able to check in straight away). Good room if a tad on the small side. Nice bar if a little "cosy" and excellent breakfast in the morning in the very well appointed Breakfast Room located on the first Floor. This is a good hotel, especially for the price, and in a great location. As we were touring Glasgow, we drove past several hotels in the same price range that I had considered staying at. Whew, was I glad I didn't choose one of those. They were either in some rather dicey looking areas or too far away from the real center of town. I stayed on the 5th floor and I had problems with Internet access. The coverage was insufficient and I had to come down to the lobby to get access to the web. The staff were very helpful in their eagerness to assist, but it was a problem with the Infrastructure- I think. Apart from this everything else was perfect.

Rooms were fine, except the smell of stale smoke. There was no view to speak of as you looked into another building and was pretty noisy with bins being moved and glass being emptied.

Stayed there just 1 night in relation to British Open. Very central and close to main route in / out. Very friendly and efficient service. Super breakfast buffet suiting all tastes. Very close to city centre, taxi fares no more than Stg£5 to / from nightlife. Rooms clean and well maintained. Excellent shower. As a sports and golf fan, Sky Sports on […] standard tv channel excellent, managed to catch Ashes and Tri Nations rugby game when there. Highly recommended and will definitely stay there again when on further trip(s) to the East Coast ( or even West Coast ) given proximity to Edinburgh c. 45 minutes away by car. Excellent restaurant beside hotel ( Di Maggios ) Mainly pizza but also fish and meat dishes. Had one of the best fillet steaks I have ever had for Stg£17.95, 10 oz steak of high quality. Lees meer

Just come back from trip to Glasgow to see a show at Pavillion Theatre. We had stayed in Braehead the 2 nights previously for the same price as 1 night at this hotel and I have to say I enjoyed Hotel in Braehead much more. On arriving early we were shown to our room which was spacious and had nice comfy sofa to sit at which I really liked. However, […] due to noise of nearby generator, it was like a small earthquake happening every few moments! We asked to be moved to smaller, not quite so nice room but it was quieter. Prefer other hotels in Glasgow and wouldn't really stay there again unless special offer on. Lees meer

Hotellet var rigtig fin med gode senge og en lækre morgenmads buffet. Beliggenheden var lige i centrum og kun få meter fra strøget i Glasgow.
