Fijne kamers. We hadden een kamer naast de ijsmachine, maar nachtelijk gebruik werd door management adequaat aan gepakt. Prima bedden en net buiten de drukte van het centrum 5 minuten lopen.

Een goed en service gericht hotel, met goede internet mogelijkheden,schone en nette kamers. De kamer die wij kregen toegewezen vonden wij veel te donker door te weinig lichtinval, de receptioniste regelde gelijk een andere kamer voor ons. Geschikt voor langer verblijf zij beschikken over een overdekte parkeergelegenheid met een niet al te hoge inrit. Het diner hebben we gebruikt bij het aan het hotel gelegen restaurant El Toro, met een korting voor bezoekers van het hotel. De ligging van het hotel was op 10 minuten loopafstand van het Centrum van Banff dus gunstig. Het hotel is een aanbeveling waard.

The Fairmont Banff Springs bevindt zich in een natuurgebied van Banff, dicht bij Banffcentrum, Upper Hot Springs en Banff Gondola. In de buurt liggen ook Cave and Basin National Historic Site en Banff Parkmuseum.
Resortvoorzieningen.
The Fairmont Banff Springs heeft een volledig uitgeruste spa, een golfbaan en een healthclub. In openbare ruimtes is tegen betaling een snelle internetverbinding beschikbaar. Dit resort met 4 sterren beschikt over zakelijke voorzieningen waaronder een businesscentrum, vergaderruimtes en secretariële diensten. Dit resort met een spa biedt diverse eetgelegenheden, zoals een restaurant, een koffiebar/café en een bar/lounge. Het personeel kan op verzoek een conciërgeservice, een huwelijksservice en een cateringdienst voor evenementen regelen. Extra voorzieningen zijn onder andere een binnenzwembad, een buitenzwembad en een kinderzwembad. Parkeerruimte is tegen betaling beschikbaar, maar beperkt.

The Fairmont Banff Springs heeft 768 kamers met airconditioning die zijn voorzien van een kluis en een gratis krant. Elke kamer is voorzien van een snelle internetverbinding. Elke televisie heeft kanalen via satelliet, een videogameconsole en betaalfilms. Alle kamers beschikken over een telefoon met directe buitenlijn met voicemail en gratis lokale gesprekken (hiervoor kunnen beperkingen gelden). Elke badkamer is voorzien van een föhn en gratis toiletartikelen.
Elke kamer heeft een koelkast en een koffiezetapparaat/waterkoker. Extra voorzieningen zijn onder andere een strijkplank/strijkijzer en openslaande ramen. Bovendien kun je op verzoek gebruikmaken van voorzieningen zoals een turndownservice, massagebehandelingen op de kamer en hypoallergeen beddengoed. Een huishoudservice is dagelijks beschikbaar.

"Disappointed"
Had to wash out the bathtub before using. Went to the pub for dinner but left because the table was so dirty and no-one came promptly to clean. Gorgeous scenery and lovely setting but disappointed in general. Room very small and hot even though window opened and heating turned down.

It is very good except the room is on the second floor and you can hear verything that is going down below i.e. party music and crowd.

Amazing stay at this hotel...excellent service and hospitality!! Only complaint is the scent that their cleaning supplies (lavendar?) left in the room was not compatible with anyone who is even slightly scent sensitive.....it was a good thing that the windows opened to reduce the scent in the room.

"Banff Springs Hotel review"
We stayed at the Banff Springs Hotel over the Easter long weekend and very much enjoyed our stay. I have been to Banff several times over the years but this is the first time staying at this hotel (or 'castle' as they prefer to be known). The Banff Springs certainly lives up to all expectations of quality and service of a hotel of this stature including […] the remarkable architecture and history. The hotel is incredibly large and sometimes easy to get misdirected but eventually you will find your way around. The grandure of the hotel is amazing and the views of the mountains from all sides is breathtaking. Anyone visiting today will have the same sense of awe as those who stayed in the hotel a hundred years ago. Although the hotel is on the expensive side, it is certainly worth the money if you can afford it. We got an incredible deal through hotels.com though and came out to be less expensive than some of the other hotels in Banff. If your budget allows, you have to treat yourself to this type of luxury at least once. The hotel is owned by the Fairmount resort chain and therefore expect to be treated well. The character of the hotel is amazing with stone and marble throughout and lots of large windows on the main levels to take in the mountain views. Several old pictures adourn the hotel and an abundance of tables, chairs, lighting, and other fixtures that take you back to days gone by. There are still of course the modern amenities as well as shops in the hotel. We really enjoyed the Rundle Lounge and sitting back in large comfortable chairs having a drink and listening to music in the evening. What a way to end a day of hiking. Although we had one of the smaller rooms, it was still large enough for the two of us with a queen sized bed, chairs, table and dresser. The bathroom was on the smaller size but I expected as much being it is an old building. The bed was very comfortable and woke up well rested. A fantastic location, a gorgeous historic building, within close proximity to many spectacular scenes. Had a wonderful time and have nothing to complain about - at all! Fabulous - will be back!

room was average size ,but seemed small with a king -sized bed in it ; very costly for the average couple.young or older; method of billing -I would prefer to pay for the room & services when checking out . Perhaps,it would be more favorable in the summertime, when one could walk,etc.

I found that although the hotel was nice and the staff helpfull and pleasant, it was a little bit overpriced, especially when extra costs are added such as parking. The rooms were small for the price paid.

Was so amazing. We stayed here for our "Valentines Celebration" the friday of the long weekend. It was all it is cracked up to be. The bedding is so soft and comfy, the two of us were lights out as soon as our heads hit the pillows!

Me and my wife stayed for valentine's day. We where very impress with how nice everybady from the hotel staff was. We upgrade to the gold level(strongly recommend) and got a bottle of champagne in our room the view from our windows was a million dollars view. There's so many things to do in the hotel that one night is not enough to enjoy all of this […] castle has to offer. The outdoor pool and indoor jacuzzi are really nice and clean. "Great Weekend at The Banff Springs"
Service was outstanding. I cannot say enough about our fantastci weekend at one of the world's greatest mountain resorts. Truly memorable. Fantastic restaurants and ambiance.
Banff Springs Hotel was a very nice place to stay we had the view of the mountain and it was very beautiful. The staff was very nice, pleasant and helpful.
"Nice Get-A-Way"
Very historic and upscale; however, noisy in the evening. Difficult to get a sound sleep. We traveled with another couple and they were on a different floor and they said the same. We could hear people in the hallway at all hours of the night. Perhaps it is because it is an older hotel. Also, we both got stuck in the elevator at separate times Yikes! […] We both pressed all the buttons but no movement. Pressed the last floor that the elevator opened up on and ran out. We enjoyed our stay, the staff was terrific on every level, but I thought that they lacked a little in the housekeeping department. We noticed that in the eating areas, the cutlery, dishes weren't that clean, tables were sticky, windows were really dirty, and there was a lot of dust on the light fixtures. Our room was the same, clean bedding of course […] but dust and dirt that looked like it had been there for months on surfaces and fixtures. If it were any other hotel I probably wouldn't bother with review but it is not a cheap stay and I think that that should be reflected in the overall maintenance, cleanliness. I also have been there over the decades throughout the different ownerships. I hope the Fairmont group isn't letting one of the most beautiful hotels in the world, not to mention one of Canada's national treasures slip into a lower standard of hospitality. Lees meer

We had to wait for 2 hours after arrival (to 6:p.m.) before getting into our room, due to the ``higher than expected crowds`` for New Years.

Not at all impressed with our room. For the high price I paid the room was very tiny. I requested a king bed and only got a queen. I would definitely not bother staying at this hotel again

I dropped 2 pts on the comfort to 3, because room 602 needs a new bed. I forgot to mention it when I checked out. It is old and worn.
"Nice Getaway"
Beautiful views of the mountains, falls, golf course, etc. the histort of the building is very interesting. On the negative side, I would recommend self park because valet was very busy and the wait was 30 to 45 mins. I am not a big fan of having to pay for wireless internet ($15/day).
"Majestic Fairmont Banff, but the restaurants..."
You expect a lot when you stay in a Fairmont hotel. The service is usually first class and the staff are a credit to the company. The Fairmont Banff lived up to this expectation in every respect except one: The hotel boasts 7 restaurants and our heart was set on the Bow Valley Grill. But apparantly, many of the restaurants are closed several nights […] of the week. We had to settle for a dinner in the Waldhaus at 2100 hrs, not exactly what we had planned. So make sure you check which restaurants are open when before you book if this is important to you. The hotel and the surroundings are, nevertheless, incredibly impressive. Lees meer

Our checkin luggage was not delivered to the room. I had to go to the front desk after approx. 30 mins. to request its whereabout. It was sitting in a room behind the front desk. The mattress in our room was concave and very uncomfortable. The room was extremely bland. Thanks
"A gorgeous hotel in an awe inspiring setting"
Well, what can I say? My only disappointment is that I was only able to spend one night in this hotel. I have been to Banff before & always said I would stay here if I ever returned. Service from all staff was impeccable, rooms were spacious & beds were luxurious. We ate at a very small restaurant on site (don't know the name but it only sat approximately […] 12 people) & it was one of the best meals we had eaten since arriving in Canada. I suggest exploring the castle & grounds, especially Bow Falls. Cannot recommend this hotel enough - wish I was back there!! Lees meer
"last stay in Banff Spring"
18.11.2011 The last stay was ...not a dream; during a change of the rooms the bell man lost my cashmere took so in -28C I was in side all the time, not to say the reception till today did not call regarding my took . The next day of our stay during the pool visit my rope with a room key was stolen... or just vanished ,and I was forced to visit reception […] desk again just to hear that is o.k.... The add for this hotel fails to mention that you must pay $25 to self park your car, or $35 for valet parking. The room was very small, bathroom very small, and no refigerator was in the room as advertised. There also was no jetted tub or balcony with this room.

We had a wonderful stay. We arrived one day earlier than planned and with the help of Rock the manager on duty we were able to change our reservations. The Sunday brunch was wonderful, as was the view of the mountains. The room was large, bed comfortable and the supply of tea was appreciated. Staff were most helpful and pleasant. historical landmark but hotel service is not kept at a level one would expect for a fairmont hotel. dark ambiance throughout. i prefer the newer fairmont hotels. service really needs to be kept up. someone in the hotel is not doing their job for sure.

This is a very beautiful hotel, and the rooms are nicely maintained. However, when we arrived at 6 pm and asked whether we should make a booking for dinner, we were told that the hotel had eleven dining rooms and that booking wasn't necessary. In fact each of the dining rooms was completely booked out, and although there was a table available in one […] of them, it was near a cold air vent, so was out of the question. We asked for the table to be moved, but were told that this wasn't possible. Apparently, having not booked in advance for dinner, we hadn't any rights. Lees meer

"Banff Springs Hotel: Lives up to rep"
Weeklong stay lived up to expectations. Only problem: hot water sometimes slow to reach the room. Staff friendly and helpful without being obstrusive; splendid views; good value for the money. One other note, though: When are hotels, especially ones as classy as Fairmont, going to start having high-def programming on their high-def TVs?

The hotel was as spectacular as expected. Every request and need was met without hesitation or question. The only complaint I had was the Accomodation department. The location of my room was near a service area for the accomodation staff and we were rudely woken at 7:45am with loud talking and laughter by the accomodation staff as they were getting […] ready for the day. This lasted for approx 45 minutes. It was obvious that it was the accomodation staff as the noise was all in Tagala and was easy to recognize. After we woke up we filed a complaint with the Customer Service department, and by the next morning we slept through without any noise.
