Best Western Carowinds in Fort Mill

About as good as it gets for the price.

Good for a cheap hotel. There was a definite smoke smell in the hallway, if you want breakfast, show up earlier than later. Other than that, nice staff, it had fridge/microwave in all rooms. Good place to stay for a day or two, especially if you are going to carowinds, it is right down the street.

For the price, this place certainly served us well. Spacious room with fridge and microwave. Courteous staff. Typical breakfast fare. Luxury it's not, but it certainly fit the bill.

Comfortable, clean and very quiet. Would book here again.

The staff was nice, the room was clean,restaurants are close, and breakfast was good. Great place for the price.

Hotel and room was clean. Bed was comfortable, bring your own pillow because your head just sinks into their pillows. "Continental breakfast" is more like a pre-breakfast/snack that is held in the lobby of the hotel. We only had coffee and juice. This hotel is across from the park, an easy walk, saving time and a huge headache with parking. Eat at the little hole in the wall Mexican place right out front...WOW super nice, great authentic mexican with big, easy on the budget prices. Hotel was clean, safe and sane. Clean and nice. Worth the money. I would definitely stay there again.

The access to route 77 is convenient. The distance to Charlotte is longer than I would have liked, but the price was right. The hotel was very friendly and clean. My only complaint about the hotel itself is that it is rather a large hotel to have NO DESIGNATED BREAKFAST ROOM. Free breakfast is listed as an amenity, but it is set up in the small lobby […] of the hotel and there are only four small tables to accommodate guests and one small counter with the food set out on it. We came down to breakfast the first morning and people were standing, waiting to get food and you could forget about getting a table. We left and went out for breakfast. The next morning we had to wait for food and a table. A large Best Western needs a designated breakfast room with large counters for buffet and a lot more tables. If they're going to list free breakfast as an amenity, they need to accommodate their guests comfortably and in a timely manner. Lees meer

very friendly, helpful staff, rooms were immaculately clean, price was very reasonable. Within walking distance to Carowinds entrance. Will be staying here during next Carowinds trip.

The room was good, bed was comfy, however the exhaust fan in the bathroom(came on with the bathroom light) was SO LOUD that I found myself opening the door and using the hall light whenever possible, so I didn't have to hear it. The continental breakfast was atrocious. No yogurt, a real disappointment for me. There was absolutely nothing hot and nothing […] really cold (OJ machine was not cold enough). I was looking for a cheap hotel for a wedding I was going to attend in Charlotte. I had little time to make preparations for a room with a limited budget. So I looked on Hotels' to find a reasonably priced hotel not expecting anything great. I was pleasantly surprised with this hotel. I would say it business class style. The hotel itself and the room […] was very clean. Staff was helpful, nice, and professional. The hotel is tucked away behind a Mexican restaurant and another big dingy looking hotel. It seems almost awkward where it is located considering how decent the hotel looks compared to the surroundings. But despite that the area is just off of the main drag and seemed desolate but safe at the time. After labor day I assume the Carolin amusement park doesn't get much business which explains the lack of people. In either case the my room was clean, the hotel was clean, the staff was nice, breakfast was good. If I had to stay in the Charlotte area I would stay here again. Lees meer

A very good hotel for the price. Friendly staff, wafflemaker for breakfast, clean room with not bad mattresses and pillows. Only downside is that it's kinda hidden.

We enjoyed our stay at the best western carowinds during the labor dy weekend. The staff and housekeeping were very thorough and seemed in good spirits as they worked. Jason from the front desk day shift turned us on to a great local eatery that was family owned called Luans. We already have said when we travel we would definitely stay here again. We really enjoyed our stay here! The people were very friendly and accommodated us with everything we needed. The place and rooms were very very clean and in great upkeep. The have a cute pool. A small gym with treadmill, elliptical, bike and weight pull system. The breakfast was simple but plentiful. Coffee, juice, different breads and fruits, eggs, […] oatmeal, muffins, jellies, cream cheese etc... And these delicious waffles you could make yourself. This really was a very nice stay. I stay a lot in hotels and it always makes such a nice difference when you can tell the staff and owners care. The guy behind the desk was fantastic! Very cheerful and went out of his way to do anything including finding a crib for us. Hotel was very clean and so were the rooms. The quality and ammenities you get from this 2 star hotel exceeds expectations, this is well worth the price. The hotel is fairly new and in great repair. The rooms are big. Had plenty of room for a queen size blow up matress for my little ones. Location is perfect, right off the highway and across the street from Carowinds. This was our first time stopping overnight in the Charlotte area and we will return to this hotel if we ever get the opportunity again. The room was clean and very comfortable with 2 queen beds and plenty of room. The only negative is that there is not much seating for the breakfast and therefore we didn't stay to eat. This was a great hotel for the money and location to Carowinds.Was very clean and pleasnt. You can see that it has been newly upodated. Breakfast wqs adequate with usual cereals,bagels,danishs,waffles etc but, hey it saves paying a restaurant! We will stay here again!!

This Best Western was right across the street from Carowinds entrance. One still needed to drive there due to the distance of the entrance to the ticket gate. The young lady there in the afternoon was very helpful with information and directions for eating. very clean, nice pool and decent breakfast. Our air conditioner was a bit noisy when cycling through the night and the room above was pretty noisy(heard lots of footsteps). Overall however, very comfortable and convienient to Carowinds

I seldom write reviews but this hoel was an exceptional value. Extremely clean and excellent staff. Very friendly and helpful.

Overall, no complaints. The mattresses were a bit too soft for me, but that is probably just a matter of personal taste. Everything had a clean and new appearance. Probably a bit too far to walk to Carowinds unless you are the real athletic type, but seems nicer than any of the others at this exit. I've stayed here a couple of times on visits to see a medical specialist. I'd recommend it highly... ample parking, clean, friendly staff. Many of the hotels in Charlotte charge "big city prices." This is a nice alternative.

We checked in on a Thursday to go to Carowinds the next two days. Hotel is the newest one around so everything was very clean and modern. Room was nice. We had some very noisy kids up above us and I almost complained but didn't because it was our last day there. Seems like they were holding a basketball game up stairs or something but I can't fault […] the hotel for that. Pool was nice although we had to always go up front to get them to unlock the gate to swim in it. Apparently some people were using the pool that weren't guest at the hotel. Great location, virtually across the street from Carowinds. Room was well maintained and comfortable. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Booked an extra night. Would highly recommend for the families going to Carowinds.

Our room was nice and clean. The continental breakfast was good. There was cold and hot food, no meat, but waffles, oatmeal, toasts, grits, and things of this sort were included in the breakfast along with muffins and other food regularly served with the continental breakfast.. This was more than I'd expected. We had a nice stay. We were there for Carowinds […] and this was a great location to stay. We were less than a mile from carowinds.
