I stayed here with my 3 year old because we needed a place half way between Berkeley and the South Bay. The hotel itself was clean, quiet, and comfortable. The staff was very kind and accomidating. My wife had a terrible migrain and they let us check in several hours early. My daughter attends Cal State East Bay and this is the best Hotel near the school.

I usually have stayed at the LaQuinta Inn in Hayward when I am in the area visiting our local office and customers. I found the rates to be competitive and the overall experience to be much better at the Hampton Inn. There are many restaurants within walking distance of the Hampton as well as the short drive into downtown Hayward. This hotel had everything we wanted for our family. The bed were nice and the down comforters were great. Would stay there again.

Met all of my expectations; Friendly staff; nicely kept room; decent breakfast, in fact, more than I expected.

Great bed and pillows. Hotel had a nice smell, not like the cleaners you smell in other hotels. Friendley staff. Maid were in a hurry to get rid of us in the morning. Good food in the morning.

Decent hotel that was well kept with great and friendly staff. Comfortable yet basic room, nothing special when it comes to chain hotel, but it was clean, parking is free, WiFi is FREE.

We were there over the Thanksgiving holiday, with a lot of other guests, and the food service during the breakfast buffet was great. They kept the warmers full. Understandably, hotel room staff were in short supply; but the staff explained the majority would be home enjoying Thanksgiving with their families. The beds were very soft and the down comforter was so warm. After a long drive it was the perfect place to stay. The breakfast was well organized and delicious. Over all top quality.

Everything was great about this hotel. The room, the colors, the comfort, and the breakfast buffet.

The Room was clean and quiet even with remodeling going on in the hallway. Breakfast was good, and check out at 12 noon great.

We were very satisfied with our stay here. The only issue is that they are doing renovations and there was alot of noise in the morning (but not too early) and the hallways were crowded with construcation materials. This exactly what you'd expect from a Hampton Inn. Good hotel, good room, good bed. It's as simple as that.

I was surprised at how quiet this hotel was after hours. I truly appreciated upon my late arrival because I was really tired. They checked me in fast. I liked that the room had a frig and coffeemaker. The room was very nice with updated furnishings and decor. Really nice bathroom. Checkout at Noon is great. The breakfast downstairs until 10am is a plus. […] This place is near Jackson, right off the San Mateo bridge so it's conveniently located near all the better spots in Hayward (by B Street). It was not the great but ok. The breakfast was ok as well.

Newly renovated, great rooms, courteous staff. Breakfast should go later on weekends though. :)

I couldn't have found a better place relatively close to Oakland AP at such short notice.

We only stayed for one night and didn't spend a lot of time there but for the price, it was nice. The comforters did feel a little over laundered with various lumps and the TV screen was fuzzy. The room was clean, the thermostat worked well, the room was quiet though so overall, we'd go back.

Everything was everything! Wonderful four day stay, quiet and comfort and clean!.

Room was clean and hotel common areas were clean also, staff was great in helping went above and beyond to help me in my search for a local apartment/home to rent for my daughter going to CS East Bay. great location to freeways and San Leandro Bridge.

The staff were friendly and very informative... the hotel very clean and very modern. I really enjoyed this hotel and the fact it was very affordable was a bonus. If you're visiting the East Bay University, then its a great location. If you want to go shopping, you'll have to drive 15 minutes. My only criticism... and it was a small one... my room was […] non-smoking... and the hotel is now all non-smoking... but my room still smelled of smoke. First I was assigned to a room next to the elevators and vending machine, very noisy! At least I was able to change, but the room wa still noisy (refrigerator). it was a romantic getaway...it was clean and the beds were comfortable. One of the best "last minute" getaway destinations I have spent at.

Everytime we go up to the bay area we always stay at the Hampton Inn. The hotel staff are really friendly, and the hotel is conviniently located.

I had high expectations based upon reviews I had read. I found it similar to La Qunita, Holiday Inn Express, Quality Inn, etc. The bedding and bathroom was very clean. Breakfast was a big disappointment, food did not seem fresh. Would stay again if I got a good bargain because it was so clean.

We stayed here on a weekend because it was close to a local brewery. It's not the greatest Hampton Inn I've seen and could use some upgrades. However, one of us left our laptop in the room after check out and when we went back to get it an hour later it was nowhere to be found. This hotel took really good care of me. They let me check in 8 hours in advance and provided a good, hearty breakfast for extra charge. In addition, they let me check out late at no extra charge. During my stay, the hotel did experience technical difficulty when the power went out. However, the hotel was very accommodating and provided flashlights […] to guests. In addition, the hotel recommended we move to another hotel at no extra charge. Because of the hotel hospitality, I did not leave the hotel. Only bad aspect of the Hotel is the comfort of the mattress, which is a hugh thing and could possibly deter furture visits...even though everything else about the hotel was excellent for the price.
