Charthouse Hotel & Suites in Clearwater Beach

Hotel staff very friendly.

Hotel is older but kept pretty well. Not as clean as it should have been but clean enough for relative comfort. Fine for the 3 nights I was there and the price. Beds comfortable, people friendly. Beautiful view.

I stay in Clearwater 1-2 times per year have just luckily found Chart House Suites. The location is absolutely perfect for what I was looking for..on the water and across from the beach on a quiet end of the area. It was safe and comfortable and my room was clean and huge for a regular room. Pricing was a great value. Staff and guests were friendly. […] There were docks if you wanted to fish....clean pool! Diane at the desk couldn't have been more helpful. She was a delight to deal with and had many suggestions on things to do and places to go. She also suggested the free golf cart taxi that was outstanding!! This took us every where we wanted to go for only the cost of a tip!! Next time I am in Clearwater Beach I will definitely be staying at Chart House Suites!! Because of the great location, wonderful room, good value and Diane's hospitality, I will be a repeat customer!! Lees meer

The lady who was in the office was so helpful. She wen tout of her way to make my 97 year old dad's birthday perfect.

Smaller, intimate property overlooking an inland water marina - lovely view - and still within walking distance of the gulf beaches. Surrounding area is very, very nice - absolutely felt safe. The property itself is showing it's age in the hallways, bathrooms and pool, but everything was clean; just aged. The Charthouse was a pleasant stay for us. It was clean, staff was friendly and it was in a nice safe location. The hotel was within walking distance of eateries and other stores. After 9 pm there is no staff on property and if needed a contact number is available. I would definitely stay here again.

My wife and I loved the hotel. The staff was unbelievably courteous and the view is out of this world. And if you are in the mood for a quiet place to relax, this is your hotel. The first night I arrived we found a dead roach in the bath room.The beds were not done properly.Then the next day in the late evening after taking a nap a tiny roach was crawling on my daughters slipper.She was so devestated,she became uncomfortable.Then two big flying roaches came from the skirting board and began to fly all around the room.My daughter […] was so scared I called the emergency number that was given to us when we cchecked in.A Security officer and a hotel rep came over with roach spray and sprayed around the air conditioning system on the outside patio.They apologised and left us with the roach spray.We spent the rest of the night spraying the roaches while they flew around us.That was the worst hotel experience we ever had.That very night there was disturbances coming from the room next to us.Never again will I use or recommend that hotel. Not on the beach, so be ok with that, but there are multiple inexpensive transportation options and walking to the beach is less than 1/2 mile. The room is clean and beds reasonably comfy, the marina is awesome and the staff, you can tell, wants you to come back. I will stay here again.

Very nice motel with large, comfortable rooms, a great view of the marina and bay, and is within easy walking distance of the beaches. My wife, son, and I really enjoyed our weekend stay. Parking lot is small, but it allows for very easy access to the building.

We've stayed there before and look forward to stay the next time in Florida. It is a quiet adult style comfort off the betten path but close to beach and all stores. Clean inside and out, like being at home. Would sugest everyone to stay there once to see for there own.

This was my first time to the hotel and I was quite impressed...I was traveling solo and had a wonderful time. The hotel was clean and the people were friendly and it was quiet!!!!! A perfect getaway for solo travel or family! I will be returing again and again. It's close to the beach and resturants and shopping....

We had a very good experience. It is an older property, but was immaculately clean. Nice big room with a huge balcony overlooking the bay and marina. For my stay, the location was a plus. It was much quiter than the other side of the island closer to the beach. However, it is a pretty good hike to get to the beach. You would probably want to drive. The […] only negative I saw was that the front desk closed at 7 pm. I was not aware of that until I got there. I was there before the deadline, but it could have been an issue if they were closed and I wasn't able to check in. When we first arrived we were early so the attendening told us to put our baggs in one of the rooms untill we could check in. We wnt to put our baggs in the room & noticed a big Cockroach on the floor. When we told the attending she said well we know the chemicals are working then. Really enjoyed the hotel the rooms were large and near walking distance to the beach or a shuttle picks you up in front of hotel. Would stay here again.

Room was clean and the view was good... location is a little out of the way for walking ... overall good for the price

The only problem I had is that the room smelled like cigarettes and our checkout was at 12 and the girl came and was knocking again at like 10 til 12 which we had 10 more minutes. she said checkout is at 12pm which we knew but doesnt need to wait there until we are out. That is rude.

I stayed with family and the 5 of us were very comfortable. the first night we walked to Clearwater beach only about 10 mins. the 2nd day we drove to Redington beach (more private) and only had to drive about 15 mins.. overall very happy, big room (bayside suite), clean and would recommend to anyone....

The room was very clean and comfortable - stayed with 2 small children. Beds were great and the balcony was perfect! This is a wonderful hotel for the price and a really good location. A great family spot and very affordable!!!

Pleasant staff, very nice neighborhood, very clean hotel. Only draw backs were front desk did not have extended hours, limited on site vending machines, and no buisness center.

THIS WAS THE PERFECT HOTEL/SUITE. It was within walking distance of many restaurants, nightclubs, beaches and was at the Clearwater Beach Yacht Club with docks for your boat on site. Hotel is in a quiet area of Clearwater Beach next to a marina. Very clean and comfortable. Nice staff, easy parking and near everything.

I was looking for a room to sleep in for the night and this hotel was sufficient for that purpose. I knew I'd be staying at a beach-side resort for my second night in the area and knew on my first night I'd just be sleeping. I literally checked-in at night, slept and woke-up, showered, dressed and checked out. The room was huge and clean. The bed was […] average in terms of comfort. The view I had was into what might as well have been a geriatric facility across the street (I think it was a condo complex for retirees). The price I payed was on the higher side (likely cause it was spring time), but still competitive for the area. I think it's pretty much in-line with my expectations. The hotel was exactly as expected. It is an older hotel, well kept and in a good area. Right on the water in a sheltered area. Balcony overlooked marina. The employees were very helpful and pleasant. The room was a good size and 4 persons would not be uncomfortable. The pool was heated..

Got a Bay View Suite. Bigger and better than the photos suggested. Like a large 1BR apt. Close to the main drag. Beautiful harbor view. Very enjoyable visit.

We arrived late and was greeted by an enveolpe and number to call. Their sister hotel, the Holiday Inn, provided a code to a lock box to obtain the key. The room was clean comfortable with a nice view of the harbour. It is at the very end of the stip but close enough to walk to most places. We are locals and have stayed in many hotels up and down Clearwater Beach and the Pinellas County Gulf Coast, but this was the first time that we stayed on the intercoastal side. We actually enjoyed it better than the beach. The beach is only a few minutes away on foot or in car. At night when you look out over the Gulf you see almost nothing except […] waves; but when you look out over the intercoastal, you have a very interesting view of the boats passing through, very nice homes as well as the hotels and businesses on Clearwater Beach. The waves on the Gulf are nice but after a few million they lose some of their novelty. Rates are much better on the intercoastal side also. Charthouse is a very nice place if you don't insist on the lap of luxury and just want a nice place to stay at a good price in a great location. Overlooking the marina within easy walking distance of restaurants and bars and a bit farther to the beach..Worth paying the extra for a bay view room.

My room at the Charthouse had a great view of the bay and the boat docks. There was a semi-private furnished balcony (there was only about a 4 foot wall between my room's balcony and the balcony for the room next door) with the couple of chairs and a side table off the room that was a nice size. The room had a refrigerator and microwave inside the closet. […] The bathroom was small and wasn't in the best condition. I stayed at this hotel for a night out in Clearwater beach to visit restuarants and clubs, this hotel was the perfect place to stay for all of that, and was in a great location! There is nothing better than a sunset balcony view right of the Marina!

Located between the Yacht club and several condominiums on the quiet, south end the island. Walking distance to excellent dining/and other activities. The hotel had recently been freshened up, new furnishings, carpeting, furniture and room decor had been upgraded. Hotel personnel were prompt with requests. All in all it was a wonderful stay

We received such a friendly greeting. Everything was perfect. On a Saturday evening they hotel hosted a party of wine and cheese for the guests. Very nice. Very spacious rooms and very clean. My business partner and I were very pleased with our visit. What a nice, quite, clean little hotel. And what a view of the boats from our balcony. Great deal compared to Sheraton Sand Key where our conference was at over double the price.

Charthouse was a nice stay. It is located right on the beach strip.....not the location I was looking for, but never the less, the facility was clean and friendly. I was not very familiar with the area, so not knowing, we ended up on the strip! Our trip was to see about possibly relocating to the Clearwater area, not really to vacation, so I would have […] chosen something closer to the mainland....but like I said, it's a great location for vacations!
