Parkroyal On Kitchener Road in Singapore

Our stay at the Park Royal was great. Located in Farrer Park, Little India and next door to the Mustafa 24 hour shopping center, it was conveinient.Food outlets everywhere close by, but having the MRT Train station across the road, it was so easy to get to places of interests in under 10 minutes. But if you wanted to goto Orchard Road, 10 minutes on the MRT and your there. 3 minutes to china town, 5 minutes to harbor city and 5 minutes to Marina Sands. This is the service I like. Lees meer

We stayed here for a week in April. It was very handy with the MRT station across the street and a mall with your American resturants such as McDonalds, Subway, KFC, ect. Concierge desk was very helpful and they weighed our bags for us as well. It took a half hour to chech out which was a annoying. Other than that our stay was great,

best location for indians as very close to mustafa and is just opp clark quay mrt station.

The hotel was across the street from an MRT station and a mall, and the very interesting Mustafa center is right behind it. Lots of great food nearby, and the hotel was great overall--nice cold a/c, and a private bathroom with walls/doors (hard to find in Singapore and a potential issue if you're traveling with friends). We checked in last week around 7pm on 22/03/12 for 4 nights/5days stay. We are couple and requested non-smoking room with Queen Sized bed. We booked the room through Hotels.com website. At the front desk check-in, the girl was inexperience and didn't know what she was doing. We wanted queen/king bed and non smoking room. She said the only avaibale room […] was 2 single beds room and ther rest were all smoking rooms. Couldn't give us any alternatives but saying "no option". Later Manager came and promised us to put two beds together and put the bed sheet cover on top to make it look like a queen bed. She also said she would change room for us next day. The room was old, smelly and couldn't even breath properly. It was 12th floor. Watch out. Next day, they changed the room to 14th floor. It was nice and we were satisfied with the new room. Front desk staff are polite and attentive but they don't have quick problem-solving skills. Mostly are young and I think they might be interns. So watch out who you are talking to. Don't waste your time if you are in a hurry or if you are tried. It will ignite your anger. Just talk straight to the manager. Service is a bit slow. Gave us 1 key only although they saw 2 persons standing. MRT station is easily accessable. If you ask me whether I want to stay at the hotel again...definitely "NO". Not value for money. Lees meer

I had been here for a business trip in the month of Feb and really like to positioning of the place amidst the 24X7 living up place- Little India. Easy t move around with local transport and taxis. The rooms were clean and tidy . However, there were gaps in terms of the responsiveness of the staff . I would recommend this for a stay . The Parkroyal on Kitchner was an ok place to stay at an ok price. The rooms were only fair and the bathrooms not up to real international hotel standard-very small. Pool area was nice.

Nice affordable and well maintained hotel. Opp the hotel is the farrer park mrt station and little India is just a walk away. Nice comfortable room. Will stay again !

Our first stay in Little India and we couldn't fault the hotel. close to shopping, great choice of eateries and a very nice pool. THe gym was better equipped than most hotels. will stay there again

As an hotelier myself, I can only highly recommand this hotel. We spent four nights over the Chinese New Year. Arrived late and tired from Melbourne, we were immediately up-graded without asking. Very confortable and spacious room, good bed, very nice bathroom. Staff very pleasant . Pricy but very good restaurant and excellent Maitre d' I love to employ! […] Great location. Subway opposite, many places to eat around. As a mature couple, we can be difficult, but we shall return! An hotel can make or break someone holidays, Royal Park made our stay an excellent souvenir. Comfortable hotel with good breakfast buffet choice. If you're interested in seeing some of the variety of Singapore it is located on the edge of the Indian Quarter which is very vibrant and has large number of very reasonably priced restaurants and bars. I got a free upgrade which represented good value. The room was clean and comfortable.

This hotel i right in the middle of little India in Singapore - which is quite earthy/dirty and different. If that's you're thing then go for it. For convenience there is an MRT and shopping centre right across the road. However, it is 4 Star. I requested and paid for a club room, which was of a higher standard - although the tables and chairs in the […] lounge were probably borrowed from a back packers hostel. So I am a bit pampered. Myself, my wife and my 9 year old daughter been to Singapore from Jan 9 to Jan 14 2012 and stayed in this Hotel. The Hotel is safe, clean and room is spacious and comfortable with a large window view. The location is very convenient with MRT rail right opposite (Ferrar Park Station) and I loved the plethora of Indian Vegetarian restaurants in a stone's […] throw. For those who want "cheaper shopping" Mustaffa 24 hours shopping center is right behind this Hotel. I strongly recommend this Hotel for those who do not want to totally save on Hotel budget but who want safe and clean hotel in a decent area. Generally in Singapore what I found is lesser you pay, you get very small rooms and at times with no windows!! (Claustrophobics beware) Overall VERY GOOD. Strongly recommended. Lees meer

It was a brief visit of two days at the Parkroyal, the check in process was pretty fast and efficient. I am sorry to say that I cannot vouch for same about my check out on the 5th early morning. But in general the entire staff were friendly and helpful at all times. The rooms are neat and clean and the out look of the hotel is great. I would have appreciative […] if more seating arrangements are made in the lobby area. Since I was traveling with my family till I was done with the Check in my family had to stand up as the two seat provided at the lobby was occupied by other guests. I am sure there must be a reason why only few seating arrangement's are made in the lobby, but if a guests like me visit the hotel then this issue surfaces. So my kind request is to provide a solution for this issue. This was my second visit to this hotel and in future too I would like to stay at the same hotel because of the location and the restaurants offering different food is all close by and the Musthafa Trade Center and the easy access to the MRT is all to justify my decision to stay at this Hotel. THE HOTEL IS WALKING DISTANCE FROM MUSTAFA, FARRER PARK MRT & LITTLE INDIA EATERIES. IS BEST PLACE TO STAY FOR INDIANS

Right in Little India, short stroll to masses of interesting places - temples. mosques, markets, restaurants, food centres. Mustafa Centre (huge 'bazaar'-like deptartment store) is next door as is 'City Plaza' a huge ultramodern shopping centre with supermarkets, dept store everything! Room was great - about 40 sq.m. including the en-suite bathroom. […] TV good. We got free wifi and cable internet. Didn't try the hotel restaurants - we fell out the front door every morning for roti canai and coffee in local restaurants for <$3 pp!!! MRT is across the road, into City Plaza and down the escalators - couldn't be more convenient. We bought EZcard for the MRT for $5 each and travelled all over the island for peanuts. Didn't even try the pool though it looked nice enough. Probably could have saved money by picking a nearby place without one. Fully recommended. Lees meer

Staff were courteous, friendly,always with a smile and ready to help. This hotel is highly recommended. Very convenient and we enjoyed our stay.

The Hotel offers great service and nice comfortable and clean rooms. The restaurant inside the Hotel is excellent. The location is great if you like ethnic ambience Restaurants and Shops.

For Indian tourists , particularly those who are vegetarians, Park Royal is the best option. it is value for money as one can have a great number of choice within walking distance to many vegetarian restaurants. Added advanatage is proximity to Mustafa Shopping centre, Indian Temples and MRT,

Shocked to see other guests in the room while check-in. Booking done for non-smoking room with extra bed but was given smoking room without bed for the first night of stay. Though extra bed was provided next day with letter of apology and fruit basket. Anyway correction of error is important and further stay was very comfortable.

The stay was excellent and the reception was fine. Hotel.com was really cheaper.

price charged for this comfort level is too high

This hotel is clean and has recently been revamped. Their staff tend to ignore 'Do Not Disturb' signs (on more than one occasion). I found the hotel overpriced and I expected more from a 4* hotel in Singapore.

The Parkroyal on Kitchener is a very nice hotel. The Orchid Club rooms give you access to a semi-private lounge with a small buffet for breakfast and cocktails. The staff are extremely professional. My only two complaints are spotty wirelress (although it was free) and very firm matresses. I prefer a firm matress, but some may find these uncomfortable. […] There is a very nice mall across the street...modern, western. There is also a crazy shopping center behind the hotel called Mustafa. Unreal. Some good places to eat near the hotel...Ananda Vegetarian Indian and Beach Road Scissor Cut Curry Rice, both excellent. Taxis are easy to get, and downtown is about a 7 minute drive (Boat and Clarke Quay). Highly recommended by me, but not for everyone. Lees meer

Nice common areas but step inside the rooms and it's immediately apparent this once-grand old girl is due for a makeover. It was fit for purpose in terms of overnighting whilst passing through Singapore but I think better value could be found elsewhere.

check in needs to be faster!

I travel to Singapore approx three times in a year and if cant get a room in the hotel above i change my dates accordingly. Cant think of being in Singapore and staying somewhere else. Hotel has everything one can ask for. No complaints at all . Very safe . For the first time i faced some problems with the cooling of the room and guess would be okay […] when i visit again soon. Great hotel; superb room with nice amenities. Front desk staff extremely professional, accomodating, courteous and efficient. Needed change to use the internet from the business area and, as there was no change available, they went through their own pockets to provide the change. Nice touch!

The room was not overly big but comfortable and well appointed. I would recommend this hotel and stay here again.

This is a great hotel in a nice location, close to shops, restaurants and public transport. My only complaint is the wifi. One of the key reasons I chose this hotel over others was the wifi in the room, this was a necessity for my as I to use the Internet to plan tours and keep in touch with family. The front desk staff need a tune-up, but it is a great hotel in an amazing location. I did not eat in the restaurant, specifically to soak up the bustle outside. So many great Indian restaurants and shops!

Very friendly service, easy access to all amneties. The spice resteraunt serves very good breakfast at a reasonable price.

Clean and comfortable. Staffs friendly and attendtive. When I inform the reception that my room safe box cannot operate due to battery low, immediately they sent 2 staffs to attend to it. We will come back again.

A first class hotel across the road from MRT station 12 mins to Downtown. Fantastic roof-top pool. Highly recommended. Bar/mini bar prices are ridiculous like most high-end hotels but plenty of options nearby. Neighborhood very busy and locals pretty poor. Felt very safe.

I have stayed at this hotel at least ten times over the past decade. I like it very much. The rooms are large and well appointed, and the service is excellent. The location is ideal, right in the heart of Little India, adjacent to Farrer Park MRT station, and the Mustafa Centre. This hotel in in a great location, very close to the MRT and a short walk to the heart of Little India. The room was large with plenty of space for suitcases and the bathroom was spacious with lots of shelf space. The pool was larger than I expected and very welcome after a day walking in the sun. The afternoon is the best time for the pool when its […] in the sun. The steam room had a bit of a funny smell to it so I didn't use it, however the changing room and toilets in the pool area were nice and clean. Breakfast maybe ridiculously expensive but there is a new shopping mall opened directly opposite the hotel with a supermarket at the basement level, so its possible just to buy some breakfast things there and keep it in the large mini-bar fridge in the room. よかった点としては、6FにあるFitnessとPoolはきれいで快適に利用することができた！ 部屋の設備は、まあこんなものかという程度だったが、空調の調節ができなかったのはマイナス！？HiにしてもLowにしても風の出方は変わらなかった。温度調節も微妙だったので、つけるか切るかにして利用した。 また帰国日が早朝のチェックアウトだったが、早朝だったせいか(?)シャワーから中々お湯が出ず、シャワーを浴びるのに手間取った。 それとカードキーが度々Not Workingになり、その度にフロントへ行き、有効にしてもらった。 あと一応6Fにコインランドリーがあるが、洗濯機も乾燥機も1回S$7もしたので、結局利用しなかった。

私のＳｉｎｇａｐｏｒｅの滞在先はいつもこのホテルに決めていました　今年の滞在は5月、9月、12月と、ところが今回荷物を一時預けた際にS$79請求されました　他のホテルではありえなかったのでとても不愉快でした　以後このホテルは二度と使わないことにしました。

部屋も大きくてとても清潔だった。ポットが壊れていて直してもらったが、翌日にはお湯が沸かなくなっていた。但し、そのことを除けば全く問題なく快適に過ごせた。立地的にも申し分なく、食事もショッピングも困らなかった。目の前のショッピングセンターにはリーズナブルな値段の日本食のお店もあった。セブンイレブンも近くにある。
