Perfect small hotel near restaurants, shopping, and sights!

I love staying here for several reasons. The most important one being their level of service. Staff is friendly and attentive. Hotel standards are exemplary. It is conveniently located in the heart of everyone, with easy access to anywhere in L.A. Looking forward to next year's stay.

Everything was comfortable, the breakfast was nice and I loved the happy hour cheese and wine.

I can't fault the Élan hotel. I arrived on a late flight but the hotel staff kindly greeted me. The room was very welcoming complete with gown & slippers... oh I just remembered actually the water in shower didn't get hot - just mildly luke warm. So the idea of bath didn't eventuate as not warm enough temperature to soak in. But the bed was nice and […] big and super comfy. The breakfast in the morning was fresh and regularly replenished. I requested a late check out and they offered me until 1pm complimentary. I was able to top-up on shopping at the Beverly Centre just across the road. After I officially checked out they let me store my bags securely until my late flight & offered to arrange transfers. In the evening they provided complimentary wine and cheese which was a nice touch. I didn't need to go into Hollywood so found location superb for my shopping trip stay. Lees meer

The staff was friendly and helpful at all times. The breakfasts had a good selection of food and seemed fresh. Good wine and cheese in late afternoon.

Room was a little small, but it was clean and the location of the hotel was good. Paying for their parking is not worth it as street parking is totally doable.

The staff was unfailingly friendly and professional. We said we needed a dinner reservation for New Year's Eve upon checking in at noon, and the hotel staff member got on it immediately and secured us a fine reservation at a restaurant he knew only a short cab ride from the hotel. Making a last minute reservation in LA led us to Elan based on price point and reviews from others. We were not disappointed. Having lived in the neighborhood years ago, I was pleasantly surprised to find this jewel in the area. It has a great location to the Beverly Center, the Grove and WeHo. The staff was great and the room though a bit small was really comfortable.

Both Michaels on the front counter are a delight and couldn't be more helpful. As are all the staff we have encountered at The Elan. This was our second stay and certainly we will return for a third. Rooms are a little on the small side but welcome drinks and cheese each evening are great. Staff was very friendly. Was always greeted in the morning when we left and in the evening when we came back - sometimes by name. Adequate breakfast; Wine Happy Hour was an added bonus. Close to Beverly Center. You could walk to The Grove and Farmer's Market but I would consider it a "hike". A very pleasant stay. Had an inside room overlooking a courtyard. […] The worst thing was the $24 plus tax per night for valet parking. Although somewhat typical in LA and there were no problems with it, I really think it is higher than it needs to be. The hotel was a great location for us as we were visiting our daughter. The staff were very friendly and accommodating! The room was very nice, but quite small with no easy chairs. Other than that, we were very happy with The Elan!

My stay was perfectly nice and I have no complaints. Unfortunately, I thought the hotel looked nicer online than it did in person. There is free internet, breakfast and a wine and cheese happy hour in the lobby. All good perks to staying there!

Beautiful boutique hotel. After staying at the Anaheim Hilton, we really liked the more intimate feel of the Elan. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Complementary continental breakfast and wine tasting was a plus. Not a big fan of valet parking....

The Elan is a modern, boutique hotel in West Hollywood with close proximity to Beverly Hills. Very easy to walk to restaurants and shopping. Trendy Melrose is very close. The staff is very pleasant and helpful. There is a wine and cheese happy hour in the evening from 5 to 7 pm and breakfast is from 6:30 am until 9 or 10. The banana bread served one […] morning was absolutely delicious. The lounge area downstairs is very pleasant and you can also eat outside on the patio. It's also an attractive space to have friends or business associates wait or meet with you. The lounge area also has two computers available for guest use and space for people to work on their own laptops. The rooms are quiet, elegant and compact. The double double rooms are probably too small for a family of 4. The double beds are too small for most adults to share comfortably, especially tall adults. Plus, while the rooms aren't small, they certainly aren't spacious. There are rooms with king beds also for couples or solo travelers. The rooms were very clean and looked well maintained. I found the bed with a very comfortable firm mattress. The Elan is reasonably priced for the area of LA that it is located in. However, parking is expensive, but that is probably the norm for most hotels in the area. There is no gym or pool, but there are a few nearby gyms that you could probably use. Also, the neighborhood was very fun to walk around and felt reasonably safe. Lees meer

I booked this hotel based on the high ratings it had received. To be quite honest, the staff is friendly, the bellmen in particular very eager, but this place felt to me like a glorified motel. Very disappointing.

The convenience of the hotel to our intended destination was excellent. When we arrived at the hotel however, we had a hard time finding the valet and had to go inside the hotel to get service. Our room was very small and we were glad that we didn't have to stay in it for very long. Otherwise, our experience was good.

Front desk staff were very helpful and location and overall standard of the hotel was excellent. Only down side was the exorbitant cost of the valet Parking in the hotel. After 2 nights we just parked out on the street overnight an paid only a few dollars as its free between 8pm and 8am anyway. I would recommend this hotel to anyone despite that small […] issue. The TripAdviser ratings I checked before booking proved to be very true. This hotel is very well priced for a good location (alongside Soffitel) in Beverly Hills - just across the road from one shopping center, close to good restaurants, and a 15 minute walk to Farmers Market & The Grove Shopping Center. This hotel was a gem! Great location in a nice area of LA! The Beverly Centre down the road was great for shopping or a bite to eat! My hat goes off to all the hotel staff at the Élan! They were fantastic, cheerful and always willing to lend a hand or give some advice when requested! Overall a great experience!

The Hotel Elan appears to have been an older, simpler motel that was renovated and remodeled into a really nice boutique hotel. The staff members were friendly and helpful. My room was extremely clean and the bed was very comfortable. The small foyer was a comfortable, friendly place to read the paper, watch TV, or talk with other guests. The continental […] breakfast was great (really good croissants, granola, coffee, etc.) I didn't have the afternoon wine and cheese but this looked appetizing also. The hotel is less than 10 minutes from Beverly Hills, Hollywood or West Hollywood, and the Melrose district. I would definitely return to this hotel. I would suggest using the Valet parking (under the building). Although there is ample street parking, the spaces are metered every day with a 2 hour maximum and a ticket costs $62. Lees meer
