San Juan Hotel in Miami Strand

Een hotel op een ideale locatie. Bakker in de buurt, dus lekker ontbeten op het strand. Wat wil je in de winter nog meer !!!! Dicht bij ocean drive en lincoln road. Ik zou hier zo weer verblijven. Met je eigen drankje voor het hotel zitten is een aanrader.

Klein comfortabel hotel vlak bij het strand en de Ocean Drive. Voor Miami South Beach is het hotel redelijk goedkoop. Aardig en behulpzaam personeel. Het hele hotel zou wel een likje verf kunnen gebruiken en de lift is wat verouderd.

Positief zijn de lokatie, de badkamers in de kamers en de lobby. Negatief zijn de kamers zelf, oubollig en slecht onderhouden. Slecht werkende televisie, zeer slechte bedden die ver doorzakken waardoor je in een kuil ligt. De springveren maken heel veel lawaai en bieden geen comfort. Een zeer goede kwaliteit-prijs verhouding. Kleine maar complete badkamer inclusieg fohn en zelfs tandpasta, twee goede bedden, een koelkast en magnetron aanwezig en ook stijkplank met strijkbout. Goed gelegen op nog geen 5 minuten lopen van het strand en uitgaanscentrum

Het hotel is perfect gelegen vlakbij Lincoln road en Ocean Drive., is niet duur. De ontvangst is bijzonder onvriendelijk, tevens is het baliepersoneel niet behulpzaam of weten het gewoon niet. Het hotel verkeert in een permanente staat van. Verbouwing en daardoor erg rommelig, maar door de al eerder genoemde ligging waren wij toch tevreden.

We zijn net 1 dag terug uit Miami. Ze zijn nu bezig met renoveren van dit hotel.Badkamer is al helemaal klaar, Dit was wel een pluspunt. In 2012 moet alles klaar zijn. Voor de rest een oud hotel, vieze vloerbedekking,De vloer liep scheef in het hotel. Gordijnen konden niet open en als je het wel probeerde dan keek je tegen een muur aan. Kamers waren […] erg gehorig. De buitenkant van het hotel was ook niet uitnodigend. Een halve doek op de luifel. Entree/ receptie zag er redelijk uit. Van het zwembad geen gebruik gemaakt, wel op mijn laatste dag maar even gezocht waar deze was, Achter het hotel. Als je bij het zwembad ligt dan kijk je uit op de opslagplaats en wasmachines van het hotel. Omdat ze aan het renoveren zijn ligt alles buiten en personeel was hier druk bezig, niet leuk als je ligt de zonnen lijkt me. Personeel erg vriendelijk en klantvriendelijk Ligging van het hotel erg goed! Eetgelegenheden, strand en winkels op loopafstand te bereiken. Parkeren was niet mogelijk bij het hotel, maar 2 straten verder kon je voor 16 dollar voor 24 uur je auto parkeren in een overdekte parkeergarage ( dit was goed te doen) Verblijf je zoals wij voor 3 dagen in Miami en je verwacht niks van een hotel dan gaat het wel, de prijs is er ook naar. We zijn al verschillende keren in Miami Beach geweest. Ik zou niet meer terug keren naar dit hotel, tenzij de renovatie positief uitvalt. Lees meer

fijn hotel, mooie kamer en locatie, lekkere bedden, prima zwembad. Alleen jammer dat je niet zelf de airconditioning kon verstellen (een grappig peruaans mannetje die alleen spaans sprak kwam om de airco 'uit' te doen, d.m.v. een handdoekje die tussen de airco werd gepropt). Eenvoudig hotel, netjes en schoon. De bedden zijn erg fijn. Niet duur en de ligging is perfect. Je loopt zo naar het strand en 10 minuten lopen en je bent op ocean drive.

The rooms are simple, baths are renovated and rather big by budget hotel standards. Staff was very nice. Location is perfect: one block from the beach and two blocks from Lincoln Drive with many restaurants and shops. Great option is you don't mind budget hotels. Certainly, my favorite budget hotel thus far in South Beach and I will return.

On the plus side, the hotel is at a great location. It is a block from the beach, on Collins St., across the street from Ritz Carlton. The price was pretty good, considering a lot of the hotels around the area cost a few hundred dollars a night. On the negative side, the hotel itself was so so. Our room faced the adjacent hotel, so we had to keep the curtains closed all the time. Overall, I guess it wasn't too bad since we didn't want to spend $300 for Ritz. Great location. One block back from the beach and one block from the strip of Lincoln Rd. Plenty of food options and easy for transport - buses across the road, taxis just 50m down the road. Front desk on our first and last day was great. Great with information. The in between days - not so much. As seasoned travellers, we understand the assistance that a multilingual concierge can provide. Was very hard for us though when it was only Spanish and they don't know basic directions in their local areas. Kudos to the young gentleman who ran concierge on our first and last day. He was great. My friend n I went to Miami for gay pride in 2013. We stay st this hotel for 2 nites place was very clean well located, friendly people, just great it had what we needed!!! Almost perfect !!

Room was very basic, bed, 2 end tables, table and two chairs. However, there was a refrigerator and microwave. The in-room safe was at eye-level and convenient to use. The bathroom was newly renovated and very nice! It was as nice as the InterContinental, only much smaller! The staff was friendly and helpful.

It is hard to beat the price and location combo of this hotel - few factors might be deal breakers for other travelers (no climate control on the room), but it is apparent that they are trying to make improvements and little aesthetic items don't bother me. The front desk people were very helpful.

The hotel was going through some remodeling so I didn't expect that I was going to be in tip top shape but it served its purpose. The beds wasn't comfortable, towels were rough, tv was old but the staff was helpful. I didnt expect much since the price was low enough to not mind those little things. Over all it's okay if your not a picky person.

First and most important, the bathrooms are renovated and they are perfect, clean and with hot water!. Location is amaizing, close to Lincon Rd, La Espanola Way (awsome restaurants) and convetion center. For the hotels near by that are super expensive San Juan Hotel is just right for the price, nothing fancy, just what you need for a few nights.

We were placed in a room that was very noisy,not sure if it was the air conditioning unit outside our window, but we had no sleep the entire night. The rooms were a bit smelly, but bathroom was ok just very small. The only plus point was that this hotel is conveniently located to everything . We will definitely not stay here again.

This hotel isn't worthy of a 2 star rating. The room, carpet, curtains and walls are dingy and dirty. There weren't nightstands or lamps beside the bed. I wouldn't bathe my dog in the swimming pool at San Juan Hotel. I had booked two nights, but checked out after the first night. I want my money back.

The San Juan is a budget hotel one block from the beach and very close to Lincoln Street Mall, near several big expensive hotels. The room was basic but clean, with a refrigerator, a microwave, an iron and ironing board and a small TV. The bathroom had been remodelled, so was quite nice, however the bed was a bit lumpy and sagged in the middle, but […] I still managed to sleep OK. Also, the faceplates on some of the electrical switches need replacing - the plugs on my appliances kept falling out of a couple of them. (There were several power points in the room, so it was not a major problem.) The staff were friendly and helpful, there was an ATM in the foyer and a coin operated laundry in the hotel, as well as a small swimming pool out the back.There is a supermarket close by as well as plenty of restaurants within walking distance, and the area was quite safe to walk in at night (I was travelling as a single female). Tour companies picked up from the hotel, and the bus stop for the Miami airport bus and various other buses was just across the road. Taxis were readily available. I made some phone calls from the phone in my room, including one to Australia and was pleasantly surprised at the cost - very reasonable. The staff was nice. The room was pretty basic. TV only had a few local channels, no cable. Beds weren't luxurious or anything but they were acceptable. The bathroom looked newly remodeled and was very nice. Understand that this is an old building and the bathrooms are going to be small. And there was only a shower, no tub.

Great location and for the price we paid we got a nice tidy room with kitchenette. The bathroom was modern and there were no issues at all with noise from the street or clubs nearby. We would defintely stay again.
