schitterend hotel in een mooi dorp, televisie had de vier dagen die wij er vertoefden geen ontvangst. kamer redelijk, maar de kwaliteit van het bed verschrikkelijk. Veel te zacht, niet stabiel, en opgestaan na slecht slapen, met veel rugklachten, geklaagd bij receptie. de klacht zou besproken worden met de manager, die dan met een oplossing zou komen, […] na 4 dagen totaal niets vernomen. Lovely hotel which we would recommend. The only downside was that the jaccuzi wasn't working.

Like going back in time...OK if you are over 60. Swimming pool was disgusting. Breakfast was OK. Gardens were lovely to sit in.

This charming historic hotel is ideally placed and has been well-appointed, but is beginning to look tired and in need of renovation. Staff are also charming and welcoming, though tea served with hot milk suggests some training is required. Breakfast is disappointing. Lovely restaurant, cutlery and linen, plenty of choice, but food quality disappoints […] with cheap fruit juice, defrosted skinny finny and kippers, pale eggs and dried out tomatoes. An excellent hotel which we thoroughly enjoyed from the moment of our arrival. All of the staff were courteous, helpful and knowledgeable. Service and food were of a very high standard. We had originally intended to stay for only one night but changed the booking to two. We are so glad we did. The main hotel building is housed within an historic building […] dating back to the 16th Century and is full of old world charm and elegance. Breakfasting within the Great Hall made a woderful start to the day and our meal in "Goblets", the hotel brasserie, was excellent. Our four night stay in this hotel was was excellent, very good restaurant service both in the main dining room & at the Goblet brasserie. The spa was the perfect relaxation break we wanted, a most enjoyable holiday in a beautiful part of the world.

The only complaint I have is that access to our room was through the main dining room which I found off putting to ourselves and I assume those people eating in the dining room. I would certainly use the hotel in the future.

Atmosphere in the dinningroom unpleasend, uncariing waiters, food not up to the standard of this hotel.

The hotel has some very poor rooms, Room 96 was the pits, the corridor was as humid as a swimming pool, the bathroom ventilation system was not working and the window screwed closed. A very unpleasant night. We were moved to room 52 in the main block. Good size, opening windows vary satisfactory. We anticipated the cook wanted to knock off early, but there was nothing to entice us to dine in the restaurant. The saving grace is that the hotel next door serves excellent food. Lees meer

Excellent staff, great location, well worth a visit, but you have to pay a bit more for this level of service. I generally find hotels disappointing but was very impressed with this one. Food very good rather than excellent but that's the only minor fault.

Beautiful hotel in the lovely village of Broadway. Courteous staff from arrival to departure. Fabulous dinner served in the restaurant with attentive waiters and knowledgeable sommelier. Go on treat yourself!

My partner and I stayed here for just one night and were put in an out building which was actually very nice with a modern , contemporary feel. It was next to the car park , so a little trek to the main building which was inconvenient when our room phone didn't work, so I had to walk to reception to order the iron. I wasn't offered an apology for the […] phone not working or an offer to send maintenance to mend. We decided to eat in the Swan next door before arriving, but thought we'd have pre-dinner drinks in the bar before we went. There was a wedding reception so we waited to be served, we waited to be acknowledged even - the barman was busy but didn't even look us in the eye or speak to us so after 10 mins we left, shame. The stay was very relaxing and we couldn't fault the cleanliness or charm of the hotel. The spa facilities do need upgrading - for a hotel of this calibre the changing rooms should offer robes and the pool area was very tired and in need of painting. If you have a treatment, you won't be disappointed - we both had the Swedish massage and it was excellent. Breakfast was good with lots of choice and cooked to order but we overheard one of the waiters taking the mick out of a guest which had just left so they just need to be aware of what they say within earshot of guests. We would come back, but I'd like to experience a room within the main building and eat dinner at the Goblet restaurant as the menu looked good. Lees meer

This is a hotel I have known for many years and alwyas wished to stay at. Dissappointingly the accommodation was of a poor standard, very old, tatty, low maintenance regime, cleanliness not to the standard you would have expected. No mini bar, mean toiletries not at all a premuim hotel as Barcelo boast. The public areas however were in good order and […] enjoyable. The food in the restaurant was of a good standard, very traditional classic cuisine. The service overall was slightly above average. I have to say for the money i spent on what was a special occassion left me feeling short changes and dissappointed. At check out when asked about my stay, I did mention i was dissappointed about the standard of the room and the response was sorry and they are looking to refurb, not very useful response and one which demonstrated a mechanical & tick box approach Lees meer

our television wasnt working, and as after a lovely dinner we were looing forward to a little tv and a catch up, they upgraded our room for us very quickly - with no fuss, new keys and a nice man to carry our cases for us. the waiter (filippo) in 'Goblets' was very nice too. spa nice addition, thouhg could do with a coat of paint here and there.

We had a short break at the Lygon Arms and found it a delightful experience. The rooms are furnished in a traditional manner. The en suite was large and well designed. All the staff are very courteous and couldn't do enough for the guests. Had a "nice" stay at the Lygon which would have been better if the staff had been a little less pompous & patronising and a little more human & friendly!! Our room was very small but adequate for the price we paid. Breakfast was at best fair...very little choice on hot dishes (bacon,egg sausage tomato & beans...beans??) and lukewarm both days. The prices […] in the bar were extortionate which must have explained why it was empty on both nights. £16.40 for two gin & tonics!! served with disappointingly standard salted peanuts. The restaurant was also empty both nights..we only saw one couple dining there. We ate at The Swan which had friendly service, atmosphere & reasonably priced excellent food served with a smile. We saw several other hotel guests in there too. The hotels public rooms are lovely with log fires etc but again pricing is too prohibitive to enjoy a nightcap or cream tea which is a shame. The village of Broadway is an excellent base from which to explore and has some perfect individual shops & excellent art galleries. Would go back when the Lygon accepts that there is a credit crunch and it needs to cater for a wider audience than the Cheltenham set. Lees meer

古くからの旅籠だそうで、歴史を感じさせるカビ臭さ？も場所柄納得できます。 駐車場が表通りから裏側に行かなければならないので、地図を頼りにホテルにたどり着いてから少し移動しなければなりません。
