Een goed motel met supervriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel. Zeker een aanrader. Is makkelijk bereikbaar met openbaar vervoer en als je een auto hebt, er is voldoende parkeerplaats.

Hotel is zeer gunstig gelegen downtown in Robson Street. Inrichting van de kamer is wat sober ,maar de kamer is zeer ruim en allen op een hoek gelegen met balkon. Roken is in het hotel niet toegestaan. Goed restaurant en halte van Hop on Hop off bus voor de deur. Parkeergarage onder het hotel en geldautomaat naast het hotel op hoek Bute street.

De kamers zijn voorzien van enkel glas. Zelfs op de hoogste verdieping, de 15de hadden we last van het geluid van het verkeer. De ligging is echter perfect om Vancouver wandelend te ontdekken. Gezellig in het centrum.

De beoordeling is gebaseerd op het verblijf in het hotel en wat niet mee genomen is de kwaliteit en service in het restaurant, het ontbijt is slecht in onze ogen we hebben al in vele landen en hotels geweest maar dit slaat alles, een keer gegeten, geen tip gegeven , de rest van de dagen ergens anders gegeten . Eind conclusie heel goed hotel maar je moet er niet gaan eten.
Ligging.
The Fairmont Waterfront ligt handig vlak bij de luchthaven, in het hartje van Vancouver, op loopafstand van Canada Place en Vancouver Convention Centre. In de buurt liggen ook Robson Street en Stanley Park.
Hotelvoorzieningen.
The Fairmont Waterfront heeft een healthclub, een buitenzwembad en een turks stoombad. Een draadloze internetverbinding is beschikbaar in openbare ruimtes (tegen betaling). De zakelijke voorzieningen bij deze 4,5-sterrenaccommodatie zijn onder andere een businesscentrum met 24/7 toegang, vergaderruimtes en een technische helpdesk. Dit hotel in luxe stijl heeft een restaurant en een bar/lounge. Het personeel kan op verzoek een conciërgeservice, hulp bij excursies/tickets en een huwelijksservice regelen. Extra voorzieningen zijn onder andere een dakterras, een fitnesscentrum en meertalig personeel.
Hotelkamers.
Alle kamers hebben uitzicht op de stad, de bergen of de tuin. The Fairmont Waterfront heeft 489 kamers met airconditioning die zijn voorzien van een minibar en een kluis. Alle bedden hebben een pillowtop-matras met een donsdeken en premium beddengoed. Elke kamer heeft een flatscreen televisie met kanalen via satelliet en een videogameconsole. Elke kamer beschikt over een gratis krant en een draadloze telefoon met voicemail. Elke badkamer is voorzien van een bad/douchecombinatie, badjassen, make-up/scheerspiegels en een föhn.
Elke kamer heeft een koffiezetapparaat/waterkoker en gratis mineraalwater. Extra voorzieningen zijn onder andere een strijkplank/strijkijzer en openslaande ramen. Bovendien kun je op verzoek gebruikmaken van voorzieningen zoals een turndownservice, massagebehandelingen op de kamer en hypoallergeen beddengoed. Een huishoudservice is dagelijks beschikbaar.
Afhankelijk van het hotelbeleid kan voor extra personen een toeslag worden aangerekend.
Bij het inchecken dien je in het geval van incidentele kosten een erkend identiteitsbewijs en een borgsom in contanten of creditcard voor te leggen.

"5 star service but outdated room decor"
Service was excellent. Room decor feels very outdated. Parking was outrageously expensive (CAD$ 30/day + tax).

"too expensive for what it is"
If you're just in the area for a night and not one to take advantage of the gym, sauna, and other amenities - it is not worth the money. The rooms are comfortable, but nothing special and it seems like it is the only hotel in the area that charges for internet.

I had a lovely stay at this hotel when I was in for business. I am a runner -- the seawall is right there and the General Manager offered to run with us early in the morning to show us the route. Great when they go that extra mile!!

Found the hotel and services good. But found all the extras extremely expensive. Only one cup of caffeinated coffee for two people. Only basics came with the room, everything was an extra. Parking, internet.

This deal did not come with free parking or any mention of the cost. Parking turned out to be $40.00 per day. There is cheaper parking in the vacinity if you look around. Other than that this hotel is hard to beat. The Fairmont Pacific Rim is a little newer and swankier.

Awesome new hotel. Staff very profession and curious. The in house restaurant is outstanding and the prices are right. I had a $300 meal with friends there that I thought was going to be $500! There was limited hot water in my room but that problem was solved in a matter of a few hours with out me having to mention.

"Beautiful,Kindness,comfortable"
I stayed ４days. this hotel located center of downtown. i could go anywhere! Hotel mens were very kind and nice. And,Bacchus resutaurant is so nice!
"Not Great"
Was expecting much more from a Fairmont. Rooms looked bland like a Hilton, lobby was unimpressive and wireless situation was awful. Hotel charges $25.00 per night for WiFi which didn't work half of the time. Wouldn't go back here.

"The Fairmone Waterfront Vancouver - Amazing Staff"
I must say that the staff (especially the front desk team) went above and beyond the norm for my entire stay. After only a couple of days, there were several people who knew my name and many others knew me by sight. It made my stay that much more comfortable and I will be booking there again on a future trip.

Best dog hotel I've been too. Everyone was super nice to our beloved pooches. They were catered to like queens, from the front desk to the valet. The parking was a bit expensive, but if you are worried about price, you can park across the street at the convention center for half the price. One of the three best hotels in which we have stayed over the past two years. (Others:Monasterio in Peru and Bayerischer Hof in Munich) Room, service and dining were superb. Hotel is walking distance to Gastown, parks and waterfront. The gold is definitely worth the upcharge for the included breakfast, rooftop lounge with puu puu's and honor bar and […] private concierge service. The hotel is directly accross the street from the cruise terminal. Bell service delivered our luggage to the cruise line which made embarkation a lot easier. The Fairmont Pacific Rim just down the street is reported to be be the better of the two. We may try it next time, but the Waterfront made for a very nice stay. Lees meer

This is the 3rd time staying at this hotel with my family. My son who is 7 asked personally if we could stay here and well there isn't any other place i would choose to stay at. The staff is great and the room is awesome. We stayed at the gold club level and that is a great way to do it. Saves us time and money on food. They provide a happy hour and […] breakfast for their guests. The location is ideal as well as its surrounded by many shops and restaurants. We stayed one night after an Alaska cruise. Location is just across the street from the cruise ships dock. Also within walking distance of Gastown and downtown shopping. Room size and cleanliness excellent, as to be expected in this hotel category. Beds slightly small for 4 people (we traveled with 2 children), but OK for one night. Staff helpful and […] knowledgeable. It was possible to discuss pros and cons of SkyTrain vs. Taxi to airport with the concierge. "disappointed"
Upon arriving to the hotel and checking in, I had requested a room with view that had either a king or two double beds. However, I was offered neither of those, but instead was told I could have a twin or there was one room with a queen left that was non-smoking. I was highly disappointed that I was not given what I requested. In fact, nothing I requested […] was given except the non-smoking room. The room didn't even have room for a roll-away because there was no space. For the amount of money I forked out for what was supposed to be a 4.5 to 5 star hotel, I would NOT recommend staying here. "Overall pretty good - but expensive"
Overall our experience was as expected with a Fairmont hotel. One issue that bothered us was the general expense of most items in the hotel. We had to laugh when the 'Share plate for Two' came with: 2 prawns; 2 chicken satay; and 2 oysters - for $20. We can almost understand overcharging for standard cocktails, etc but that was pretty much the icing […] on the cake. We felt a sense of 'nickel and diming' that came to bother us a bit when you pay premium $$$ for a quality hotel (i.e. $7.50 for a bottle of water in the room). Lees meer

Just got off the Diamond Princess, walked across the street and there was our Hotel! Unfortunately, our room wasn't ready as it was 8:30 AM, but they graciously took our luggage and phone number and called when the room was ready. There's a beautiful pool and roof gardens that look out over the water and the city. The concierge gave us excellent info […] about tours and where to dine. The location couldn't be better as you can walk to Gastown and many restaurants and many of the tours pick-up or drop-off across the street. It's also very close to shopping.
