Het is een prima hotel, maar de weg er naar toe is erg moelijk te vinden. Het hotel ligt aan een "soort" dood lopende weg die ook nog gedeeltelijk eenrichtingsverkeer is.

Dit hotel ligt vlak bij de luchthaven en dus ideaal wanneer je vlucht de volgende ochtend vroeg vertrekt. De kamers zijn comfortabel en proper, de mensen van de receptie zeer behulpzaam. Er is een shuttle van en naar de luchthaven en van daaruit kan je de light rail naar het centrum nemen. Je bent dan wel bijna een uur onderweg...

Het hotel zag er mooi uit, zowel van buiten als van binnen. Eigenlijk zijn wij niet anders gewend van dit hotelketen. De badkamer met wastafel in één kamer (hadden wij niet in de vorige hotels) beviel goed. Wij hadden een kamer voor niet-rokers, maar er hing een vage rokerslucht in de kamer. Met het schaamrood op de kaken probeerde de receptie dit te herstellen. Opgelost middels citroen verfrisser: wellicht toch ontstaan door de kleding van een zware roker vóór ons. De bedden waren perfect en wifi en de beschikbare parkeerruimte waren goed. We hebben door een technische storing een dag zonder wifi gezeten: erg vervelend maar éénmalig. Het raam kon open voor frisse lucht en geluiden uit de natuur: prettig. Het ontbijt was basic (continental breakfast), maar goed genoeg om de dag te beginnen. Het personeel was echter steeds vriendelijk en gaf je een goed thuisgevoel. Wij zijn hier 6 nachten gebleven. Al met al was het een plezierig verblijf in een rustige omgeving: ik zou hier zeker terugkomen.

Het hotel zag er netjes uit, zowel van buiten als van binnen. De kamer en de badkamer waren klein, maar OK. De overige zaken, zoals wifi en parkeerruimte waren goed. De airco was echter luidruchtig en met het raam open was er veel overlast van het verkeer. Het ontbijt was basic, maar goed verzorgd met dagelijks vers fruit. Het personeel was echter steeds vriendelijk en gaf je een goed thuisgevoel. Het hotel ligt niet ver van de Alderwood mall. Wij zijn hier 3 nachten gebleven. Ondanks de kleine kamer en kleine minpunten zou ik hier zeker terugkomen.

Exactly what you'd expect of the hotel. Basic, but clean. Free basic breakfast and a shuttle to the airport every half hour. If you want to watch TV, there are enough channels. In a nuttshell: a good place to stay a few days or just overnight if you have a flight the next day.
Ligging.
Grand Hyatt Seattle ligt in het centrum van Seattle, op loopafstand van Pacific Place en Washington State Congres- & Handelscentrum. In de buurt liggen ook Pike Place Market en Columbia Center.
Hotelvoorzieningen.
Grand Hyatt Seattle heeft een healthclub, een spabad en een turks stoombad. Tegen betaling kan je in openbare ruimtes gebruikmaken van een snelle inernetverbinding (draadloos of via kabel), terwijl de accommodatie over een werkstation beschikt. De zakelijke voorzieningen bij deze 4-sterrenaccommodatie zijn onder andere een businesscentrum, vergaderruimtes voor kleine groepen en een limousine- of autoservice. Dit hotel heeft 4 restaurants. Daarnaast heb je ook een koffiebar/café en een bar/lounge. Het personeel kan op verzoek een conciërgeservice, hulp bij excursies/tickets en een cateringdienst voor evenementen regelen. Extra voorzieningen zijn onder andere een fitnessvoorziening die altijd open is, een sauna en meertalig personeel. Gasten kunnen tegen betaling gebruikmaken van een luchthavenshuttle ((op verzoek)). Parkeerruimte is beschikbaar tegen betaling, maar beperkt. Als er geen plek meer is, kan je ook vlakbij betaald parkeren. De accommodatie beschikt over speciaal daarvoor bestemde rookruimtes.
Hotelkamers.
Alle kamers hebben uitzicht op de stad, de bergen of het water. Grand Hyatt Seattle heeft 425 kamers met airconditioning die zijn voorzien van iPod-dockingstations en een (laptop)kluis. Alle bedden hebben een pillowtop-matras met premium beddengoed. Bij betaling kan een snelle internetverbinding (draadloos of via kabel) worden aangeboden. Elke 32-inch flatscreen televisie heeft premiumkanalen via de kabel, de recentste bioscoopfilms en betaalfilms. Elke kamer beschikt over een bureau, een kluis en een luidsprekertelefoon met voicemail. Elke badkamer is voorzien van een aparte badkuip en douche, badjassen, designer toiletartikelen en make-up/scheerspiegels.
Elke kamer heeft een minibar en een koffiezetapparaat/waterkoker. Extra voorzieningen zijn onder andere een gratis krant en een föhn. Bovendien kun je op verzoek gebruikmaken van voorzieningen zoals een koelkast, een magnetron en een turndownservice. Een huishoudservice is dagelijks beschikbaar. De renovatie van alle kamers werd in februari 2011 voltooid.
Afhankelijk van het hotelbeleid kan voor extra personen een toeslag in rekening worden gebracht.
Bij het inchecken dien je in het geval van incidentele kosten een erkend identiteitsbewijs en een borgsom in contanten of creditcard voor te leggen.

Het centrum van Seattle loopt langs Puget Sound, van het historische Pioneer Square in het zuiden tot het trendy Belltown in het noorden. Daartussenin zijn de lommerrijke avenues gevuld met kantoortorens, winkelgalerijen en bakstenen appartementen. Je vindt hier het congrescentrum is hier en de in zalm gespecialiseerde Pike Place Market. De futuristische hoofdbibliotheek mag je niet missen. De twin-stadions van Seattle en het International District liggen ten zuiden van het centrum.

The view on the 22nd floor facing the Puget Sound and Pike's Market was fantastic. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the richness of the room's amenities as well as the complimentary sparkling wine the front desk clerk so graciously offered upon hearing of our marriage. Though upon checking out I did mention to the front desk clerk my dissatisfaction […] with the quality of the bowed mattress, the drip of water pressure in the shower, and the request for a battery for the High End Scale in the beautiful bathroom that had not ever been fulfilled. Great hotel in almost every respect -- very modern, great service, good location. Only complaint was the food. The room service breakfast menu looked amazing (Dungeness crab and goat cheese frittata, anyone?), but the actual food wasn't so hot. But that's a pretty minor complaint.

"Flawless weekend"
Basically they got everything right. We stayed in an Emerald Suite. Room was wonderful, comfortable, with a great view of seattle. The staff was polite, helpful, and friendly from the valet for the car to the desk staff and all inbetween. Definitely recommend the hotel.

Great location, g0 for the Emerald Suite-great view Don't understand why I can put my things in the refrigerator provided. If I want my stuff cold I have to rent another refrigerator.......really?
"I stayed once and extended my stay"
I had only planned on staying at the Grand Hyatt for one night and then relocating to another hotel close to my meetings. The hotel and service were so great that I cancelled my original reservation in order to stay another night.

"Excellent Stay, only one Caveat"
I had only feather pillows available in the room, which left me with severe neck, and head pains for the full time I was there. I am mostly to blame however, knowing that I have these issues with too soft pillows at hotels, and didn't come prepared. I also did not check to see if they had other available options, but suffered with what I had.

I looooovveeedd....loooovvveeedd the time my husband and I spent at this hotel. From the minute we walked in to the minute we walked out. Five stars from the customer service to the resturant that's on the first floor. Everything and everyone that works in this building are awesome.

I am not a member of the frequent client program but the guy at the Front Desk offered to enter in my Southwest Rapid Rewards number. Very much appreciated. The room was very clean and the room was very spacious.

Great location, and very nice room with a wonderful view. Staff was friendly and helpful. We loved the motorized "sleep" curtain and walk-in shower. The hotel information booklet could perhaps have mentioned Ruth Chris's, Starbucks, the convenience store and sushi bar. But all in all, we will stay here again on our next Seattle trip.

Conveniently located, with very nice facilities. Most staff was very helpful and courteous, however, concierge could have been more friendly, and daily housekeeping could have been more detailed-items were missed and/or not addressed.

Af first we were going to be charged for two items in the mini-bar which were moved but not used. However, this was corrected. I would also think one could have free WI-FI at a quality hotel.

"Very happy with our stay"
It was our first time visiting Seattle and I'm glad we picked the Grand Hyatt. The staff was very welcoming the moment we stepped inside to check in. The room was very nice and I absolutely loved the huge tub! They also had a privacy button that you can turn on so house keeping doesn't disturb you. It was nice grabbing a starbucks right in the lobby […] each morning, even though they provide a coffee maker in the room. Be careful not to remove anything from the fridge, they have sensors so if something is removed, they know immediately! The fitness room was very impressive, they provided cold towels, lots of workout equipment, headphones and it is open 24 hours. They also had a sauna that we wanted to use, but it's not available after a certain time so we weren't able to get a chance to check that out. The only thing that I didn't like was being able to hear someone close their hotel room door. They are loud! We woke up numerous times in the morning because the doors are heavy and slam shut hard and loud. That got old very quick! If you are a light sleeper, I suggest taking an advil pm or some earplugs. I would recommend this hotel and I would definitely stay here again. Lees meer

We stayed at this hotel one day prior to our cruise and two days after the cruise. The room was very nice and the front desk was helpful in acquainting us wit Seattle. They must have changed personnel after our cruise because it was 1000% the exact opposite

Stains on pillow cases ....maid service changed linen. Hot in Seattle but our room never got below 74 degrees with the air on high...informed desk but temp never changed. Nice hotel but very poor service in all areas.

"Staying at the Grand Hyatt for business"
I chose to stay at the Hyatt because it is so close to the Washington State Convention Center. Very easy walk to all the meetings I had there. It is also quite close to the light rail in the event that you are flying into SEATAC - $2.50 each way. The hotel is well-appointed and generally pleasant. The beds were quite comfortable and the maid service […] was outstanding. There was however an odd odor in the bathroom (from the shower drain) that was unpleasant and the water pressure was lackluster. I asked for a late check out and was told that were unable to accomodate my request. Seriously? If I was there for one night I can understand, but after dropping a tidy sum to attend my weeklong meeting I was a little taken aback. And I was only asking for a 2 hour reprieve which I do not feel is unreasonable considering. For the price, I feel that one could find higher quality accomodations in the area. Lees meer

The bed was so hard we couldn't sleep. That was the only down fall. I've been to this hotel a couple other times and didn't have this problem, maybe it was just this room.
Great hotel and a great location. Everyone at the hotel is very helpful. We will stay here whenever we come to Seattle!
"Date night"
Great room, a little pricey, but my wife is worth it! We enjoyed the room, Ruths Chris was close, everything within walking distance. Understandibly the room did not have the best view, but overall a great experience. I would definitely stay there again!

Great stay, high quality hotel. We were a bit disappointed to find that the WiFi was not free, and even the wired internet access in our rooms was at least $10 per day. Otherwise everything was pretty top-notch. The tub does NOT open up via a sliding pane to the bedroom, like many other comparable floor plans. The hotel facility and staff where just like the name, "GRAND". The facility is wonderful and the staff very professional and helpful. My only gripes would be lack of complementary wireless internet access and parking. For the price you pay for a nights stay, this should be complementary or at the very least discounted.

In Seattle for concert at The Paramount and Grant Hyatt was within walking distance as well as close to great shopping, Pike Market, etc. Ruth Chris is great for 'late night' happy hour. Only drawback was price of parking but they did allow us to stay most of the second day for one price.
Beds are hard. Water restricter on sink faucet would not allow enough hot water for shaving
"Fun in the city"
For the most part, we had a lovely time at this hotel. It was beautiful inside and so conveniently located near all the things we wanted to do. Our only complaint was that the room next door had a dog in it that would bark loudly at the door off and on and even at night. Also, the flooring right inside each room was marble/stone and we could hear women […] in heels walking around in their room when we were trying to sleep. Lastly the doors are heavy and slam when people enter/exit which was also very loud when trying to sleep. This hotel is close to everything you want to see and do in Seattle. The staff is friendly and courteous and the rooms were quiet. We will definitely go back again.

Great stay here for business. Super comfortable room with amazing soaking tub and huge bathroom overall. Very helpful concierge for dinner restaurants. Shopping close by and a short walk to the Market if you want to see a couple of sights. Fast elevators--never had to wait.

The Grand Hyatt is everything I expected it to be. From the Valet to Housekeeping everyone was very friendly. Our suite was amazing - very comfortable and with a great view. The location was wonderful - we were able to walk to many places as well as drive... it was a great home away from home.

The hotel was very close to downtown shopping and restaurants. It was also close to the cruise ship location needed.
