We hadden een kamer met uitzicht op de tropische tuin, prachtig. Kamer van alle gemakken voorzien. Wel veel problemen gehad bij het inchecken: men vroeg om onze creditcard als borg voor eventuele uitgaven die wij tijdens ons verblijf zouden maken. Onze card werkte echter niet en dat werd als een (abnormaal) groot probleem gezien; ondanks dat wij aanboden om tot 500 dollar cash te 'betalen'; men wilde ons zelfs in 1e instantie als gast weigeren, terwijl het hotel natuurlijk al via hotels.com betaald was. Zeer onaangenaam en men ging pas meewerken nadat we erg hebben opgespeeld; uiteindelijk 100 dollar borg betaald. Geen leuk begin van een verder overigens prima verblijf daar.

Prima locatie om van daaruit San Diego te ontdekken. Naar o.a. de Zoo, het Balbaopark en ophaaladres van huurauto gebracht en opgehaald met shuttledienst van het hotel, ideaal. Schone kamer, van alle gemakken voorzien. Redelijk ontbijt met plastic bordjes en bestek.

Het hotel ligt midden in het uitgaansgebied; veel restaurants in de omgeving en ook de winkelstraat is om de hoek. De bediening is gastvrij en zeer vriendelijk. Het ontbijt is echter simpel, maar dat schijnt in Amerika normaal te zijn. Kortom: als je op zoek bent naar een centraal gelegen hotel met alle gewenste voorzieningen in de buurt en ruime kamers, dan ben je bij Gaslamp Plaza suites op het juiste adres!

Hip trendy. Wifi in hal beneden is gratis. Op kamer voor 24 uur vijftien dollar. Vind ik wel veel. Hotel is eigentijds. Drankjes aan de bar vrij prijzig. Hotel is Veel minder stijf en goedkoper dan het Hyatt. Wel werd er volop gebouwd en was dakterras niet open. Parkeren kan met valet parking (vijfendertig dollar per dag) of rondom hotel. Wel goed kijken of je goed staat ivm schoonmaken van de straat. Wij hadden boete van zestig dollar ivm neus van de auto de verkeerde kant op staan.
Ligging.
Good Nite Inn Sea World ligt heel handig vlak bij de luchthaven in Beach Cities in San Diego, dicht bij Staatspark Old Town San Diego, Marinerekrutendepot en Seaworld.
Accommodatievoorzieningen.
Tegen betaling kan je in openbare ruimtes gebruikmaken van een snelle draadloze internetverbinding, terwijl de accommodatie over een werkstation beschikt. Extra voorzieningen zijn onder andere meertalig personeel, een wasserij en koffie in de lobby. Zelf parkeren is gratis.
Hotelkamers.
Good Nite Inn Sea World heeft 149 kamers met airconditioning die zijn voorzien van openslaande ramen en gratis toiletartikelen. Gasten kunnen tegen betaling gebruikmaken van de draadloze internetverbinding op de kamer. Elke televisie heeft premiumkanalen via de kabel en gratis filmkanalen. Alle kamers beschikken over een telefoon met gratis lokale gesprekken (hiervoor kunnen beperkingen gelden).
Bovendien kun je op verzoek gebruikmaken van voorzieningen zoals een koelkast, een strijkplank/strijkijzer en een telefonische wekdienst. Een huishoudservice is dagelijks beschikbaar.
Afhankelijk van het hotelbeleid kan voor extra personen een toeslag worden aangerekend.
Bij het inchecken dien je in het geval van incidentele kosten een erkend identiteitsbewijs en een creditcard voor te leggen.

Bij warm weer is het enorm druk in het water bij Mission Beach en Pacific Beach, twee van de populairste stranden van San Diego. Op deze relaxte plekken worden af en toe boerenmarkten en kunstfestivals georganiseerd. Mission Boulevard verbindt de stranden met elkaar en loopt noordwaarts, richting La Jolla.

Hotel op zich was ok, maar de buurt was vreselijk (tenzij je van wirwars van snelwegen, autogarages, drankhandels en sexshops houdt). Vlakbij is het oude San Diego (samen met het nabije vliegveld de reden om hier te gaan zitten, de avond voorafgaand aan mijn vliegreis terug naar Nederland), dat is op zich aardig, hoewel Valkenburgachtig.

het hotel is heel erg fijn ligt vlak bij het vliegveld en dat is heel fijn als je een vliegreis van 16 uur achter de rug hebt. het is schoon en netjes goede service en erg vriendelijk en helpen waar het kan.

Towels were thin, only two towels in each room and when we asked for more there was none. We asked for iron and board and we had to get it from the front desk. The beds were uncomfortable. Overall hotel wasn't too bad. Great location since we were going to sea world,but it could have been better.

"*Head in hands* on arrival"
The hotel is situated between 2 strip clubs. It looks like something out of the 70's. The colour is a wee stain yellow. When we walked into our room it smelt like a working man's social club in skegness. We had clean towels once in 7 days, and only 2 towels when there were 3 of us. My friend had to dry himself with a flannel which took him a good half […] hour. The clientel staying at the hotel were a bit shady to say the least. "Scary stains on rug"
Scart stains on floor, scary neighborhood, but convenient. Glad I didn't spend more than two hours awake there.
"Reasonable price"
Price is good. But wish have more convenient facilities such as microwave in room and provide more towels.
"Nice place.. worth the money spend.."
Decent place to stay if your just looking for a nice place to sleep. Not good for a romantic getaway. Its cheap and you get your money's worth. Clean and well done place. Very courteous staff. Really close to the airport.
"Storage units"
We stayed on a Saturday night and the storage units behind the motel had a party that lasted most of the night. Very loud.
"Okay for overnight stay"
Although it was located across from a strip joint, the Inn was quiet and restful. Hotel staff was pleasant. The room was clean and amenities so basic that there was no hair dryer (but you could borrow one from front desk with a deposit). The toilet flooded after our overnight stay, yikes! Good Nite Inn Sea World is a great place to stay when in San Diego. Great location and very safe neighborhood; and, nice parking area. Near Old Town San Diego. Good eating places nearby. Very nice staff and very helpful. Clean rooms and comfortable beds.I highly recommend the Good Nite Inn.

"close to my residence"
parking a bit of a problem noisy tenants were very inconsiderate close to many tourist sitesand eating establishments not bad overall i'd say it was saturday night

"Great price, will be back"
This was our second time staying at this hotel. Its close to pretty much everything! The price is very affordable. I believe there are two "Gentlemans" clubs nearby but that didnt bother is at all. The staff was nice & recommended us a few restaurants. We will be staying here again

"A Pleasant Surprise"
Given that this hotel was rated at 2 stars, I had low expectations of the place. But when we got our room I was surprised that it was clean and well-maintained. Everything worked, nothing leaked. Got a real good night's rest here (spent 2 nights in San Diego), for a bargain price. The hotel staff was courteous and did their best with what they have. We stayed 5 nights here. The hotel room is spacious and have refridgerator. A/C works fine and beds are okay. Stuff was very friendly and helpful. Great Location: close to I-8 and I-5, Seaworld and Old Town.

Motel room was clean, however the thought of taking your shoes off was not appealing. The floor reminded me of a college frat house floor that had been through more parties than a bar.

Arrive that morning went to SeaWorld, after a long day it was nice to get there fast and crash, staff friendly, room clean, and a ten percent discount at Dennys right across from the hotel. Thanks

DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL! We were looking for an affordable place to stay while visiting the local San Diego attractions, and are not very picky when it comes to "budget" hotels. HOWEVER, the rooms were dirty with stained carpet, dirty sheets, and smelled of marijuana. We immediately called to book a room at another hotel because we were literally […] afraid to sleep there. My time at your hotel was all good exept the fact that I am a day sleeper. I travel at night and past thru San Diego often. But I get to my city early and tired from driving. So the 2pm check-in is NOT for me. I tend to continue to say at the hotels that allow me to check-in about 10am. It makes no sense to be to check-in at 2pm and check-out at 11am...that […] is NOT even 24 hours. If I am going to pay for a hotel them I want what the 24 hour that I pay for. Lees meer

This was a great hotel to stay at. Very close to downtown and to Sea World. Rooms were very clean and the beds were very comfortable! Pricing was not bad either!I would recommend this hotel to anybody!

I liked that it was close to Sea World. Even tough the bed was a king size it was not too comfortable, but overall it did the purpose. I drove to the hotel after work, slept for yhe night then went off to Sea World in the morning.

Like most reviews I have seen I also found the area was less than perfect (although the proximity to Old town was nice). The staff were great and I aksed for a quiet room and they came through. For the price we found it a good value.
