Vlakbij Times Square, beter kan niet. Ideaal hotel ook met kinderen. Kamers zijn prima, geen geluidsoverlast van straatverkeer. Behulpzaam personeel. Echt een aanrader.

Dit hotel is zeker voor herhaling vatbaar. Dichtbij de PATH trein naar NYC. Ontbijt en kamer waren prima!

Mijn dochter (10 jaar) en ik hebben eind april een week in Cassa Hotel and Residences gelogeerd. Dit naar volle tevredenheid! Het hotel ligt op ca. 4 minuten loopafstand van Times Square, de kamer was niet groot, maar prima voor ons verblijf. Er werd keurig schoongemaakt en al het personeel was uiterst vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Men is momenteel bezig met enkele verbouwingen aan het hotel (waar wij overigens totaal geen last van hadden!) die het hotel mijns inziens alleen nog maar mooier en completer in dienstverlening zullen maken. Wij hopen volgend jaar week een week in Cassa Hotel and Residences te mogen verblijven en raden iedereen die een goed hotel zoekt in New York dit hotel van harte aan.
Ligging.
W New York - Union Square bevindt zich in de omgeving Union Square van New York. dit hotel ligt dicht bij Gramercy Park, Metropolitan Pavilion en Universiteit van New York. In de buurt bevinden zich ook Times Square en Empire State Building.
Hotelvoorzieningen.
Dit hotel in luxe stijl heeft een restaurant en een bar/lounge. In alle openbare ruimtes is snel internet (draadloos en via de kabel) beschikbaar (tegen betaling). Dit hotel met 4,5 sterren beschikt over bedrijfsvoorzieningen waaronder een businesscentrum, vergaderruimtes voor kleine groepen en een vergader-/conferentieruimte. Parkeerruimte is (tegen betaling)beschikbaar, maar beperkt.Het personeel kan op verzoek een conciërgeservice, hulp bij excursies/kaartjes, een huwelijksservice en evenementencatering regelen. Extra voorzieningen zijn onder andere een fitnesscentrum, een conciërgebalie en een wasserij.
Hotelkamers.
Bij W New York - Union Square zijn kamers met airconditioning voorzien van onder andere een cd-speler en kluisjes in de kamer (voor laptops). Elke kamer heeft flatscreentelevisie met kanalen via de kabel, een dvd-speler en films tegen betaling. Elke accommodatie beschikt over een bureau, een kluisje in de kamer en een luidsprekertelefoon met voicemail. Snel internet (draadloos of via de kabel) is tegen betaling beschikbaar. Alle bedden hebben een pillowtop-matras met luxe beddengoed. Elke badkamer is voorzien van een afzonderlijk bad en een afzonderlijke douche, kamerjassen, make-up-/scheerspiegels en een haardroger. Extra voorzieningen zijn onder andere een minibar en een gratis krant. Daarnaast zijn op verzoek voorzieningen beschikbaar zoals een magnetron, een turndownservice en massagebehandelingen op de kamer. Een huishoudservice is dagelijks beschikbaar.
Afhankelijk van het hotelbeleid kan voor extra personen een toeslag worden aangerekend.
Bij het inchecken dien je in het geval van incidentele kosten een erkend identiteitsbewijs en een borgsom in contanten of creditcard voor te leggen.

Stayed on the 15th floor and the hallway carpet was stained throughout the floor. The door in my bathroom was broken and a few of the towels were stained. Highly disappointed in the W Union Square - by far the worst W hotel I have stayed.

Lovely hotel in many ways. Staff not only very service minded, but also gives you the little extra. The decoration of the room classy and comfortable. Rented a room for 3 for a night out in the city... specifically asked Hotels.com to note that a foldaway cot was needed. When checking in, we were told by hotel employees at front desk that the room we had booked was too small for a foldaway and it would be against the law to place one in there. We then stated why did they give us the room when we asked […] specifically for a foldaway cot??? The guy at the desk kept saying we booked through a 3rd party so it wasn't there fault.... Really??? Way to treat customers... The manager eventually came out and was able to find a room large enough to fit the cot but the view was a cement wall. Lees meer

We had an issue getting into our room - frustrating but once the manager got involved they handled it well. The hotel is good mostly because of the location - can't beat union square.

Great in many aspects, and comfy beds! Wouldn't have paid full rate out of hotels.com, considering some lacks in carpet look! Changing of rug is not a caprice in that case... Heart of the Manhattan action on foot. Nice bathroom Bliss stuff. Expensive WI-FI.
"Spectacular Hotel, Spectacular vacation"
We thoroughly enjoyed New York by staying at the Union Sq W. I will definitely stay here again. The price was a great deal for the location. Very close to Union Sq park where a key subway is located for east access to the entire city. Walking distance to many hot spots for clubs and bars and restaurants. Loved it! "Great room rude staff"
I have stayed at many W's the staff at this hotel acted like our prescence was a complete annoyance to them. There are so many places to stay in NYC, places were they are not rude. I lived in NYC for 15 years. There are many kind helpful people in the city but you are not going to find them here.

This was a great hotel. It was in a great neighborhood and the subway was nearby so it made it easy to get anywhere in the city. Rooms were a nice size for NYC and were comfortable. Would definitely stay again!

The staff are very nice but the hotel is lacking maintenance. The shower bathroom pipes made strange noises and the water was cold. The ipod dock also did not work. The staff are very nice and honest people though, I left my ipod and they were able to find it for me and keep it in their safe for me to pick up at my convenience.The reason why I would […] not recommend this place is because I am too old (28) for dim light, boutique-ish feeling hotels. "Bed bugs in hotel"
I stayed there for 3 days and after coming home, I had multiple bites on my leg which leads me to believe this hotel has bed bugs as I was wearing jeans every day of my trip. Everything else was great but having bug bites when you least expect it is why I wouldn't recommend staying here.

This is one of my favorite places to stay, both because I love the W, but also its location. My three chief complaints is 1) The shower head in my room was terrible. Not all of the nozzles worked and the ones that did, sprayed in all different directions. 2) There is no recycling bin for plastics and other recyclable items. I think this is something […] that should implemented. 3) Some sort of high buzzing noise, like an open emergency door sound or something, kept going off and seemed a consistent sound throughout my stay. "Good concept lacks attention to details"
Frankly I was dissappointed. Overall the the concept works. But one towel and bathrobe for 2 people, running out of soap, and hair under the sink, left us with less than happy moments. "Elegant hotel, fabulous location"
The hotel is well situated in Union Square near many wonderful restaurants. The hotel staff is helpful, friendly and made me feel very welcome though it would have been nice to have a doorman--I along with other guests struggled into the hotel with heavy bags on a busy Friday night. The common space, hallways are lovely. I loved the subdued, stylish […] decor of my room--especially the wonderfully large desk, high quality flat screen tv with DVD player, etc. The room service was worth the price---and came lightning speed with warm, friendly service and enormous portions of delicious food. My only complaint is that with the kind of money one pays to stay here the housekeeping (or 'styling' as they call it) should be much more on top of things. My room was barely cleaned---dust balls in several places on the carpet, sticky food remains on the desk, and it was generally very dusty. The beautiful bed spread needs to be replaced as well. It wouldn't have hurt if they would offer turn down service. Other than the housekeeping issues, I had a lovely stay and would try them again if I was assured of a very clean room. Lees meer
"Great location to see NYC"
We had only two days in NYC for the opening of the new Beechers Handmade Cheese restaraunt on 20th and Broadway. The W was located within three blocks and centrally located for everything else. The subway access at Union Square was perfect!
"Was good 10 years ago"
W Hotel Union Square was a cool & hip hotel 10 years ago but act like they still are. Staff was unfriendly, standard of the hotel shabby for what you pay and very suspicious when they didn't find the reservation at first. And what's up with the bodyguards outside, not the mot welcoming guys. To the staff at W Hotel: Service is all - not attitude.
We just spent one night in the city - this hotel provided superb accomodations in a convienent location for us. I would recommend any of the NY W hotels.

Great hotel and the location was good. Only drawback the double glazing isn't great and so if you are a light sleeper probably not the best place to stay. Close to the subway. Eat at the restaurant Olives - the food was very good. Staff really helpful and welcoming.

Why beyond the blue... it was like heaven. I was welcome in a most friendly manner, given a better room, checked in immediately, room was comfortable and clean... Staying at the W is always a first class experience. Spotless rooms, incredibly friendly and helpful staff. Front desk upgraded us to a Mega room just because I mentioned that it was my birthday. One of my better Manhattan hotel experiences; confirming you get what you pay for. 400 sq. ft room, bigger than most, well-run, clean. And while the Olives restaurant/bar gets busy, the configuration of the lobby avoids that loud hotel-as-bar feeling when you come in at night - it's nice and quiet. Everything was very nice but the wifi charges surprised me. They were VERY high and I have come to expect this to be included with the room. Other than that it was great. Super clean, very comfortable, and roomy by NY standards. DVD player in room was a nice touch.

Was very excited to stay in the W Union Square, the building was spectacular, the location perfect, however we ended up staying in a subpar room because we didn't want to waste time switching rooms and the room itself was spacious and well appointed. Hotel room reeked not only of smoke, but of air freshener. Later realized carpet was soaking wet under […] my bare feet. I've stayed at W's before in other locations and love them.
