Ramada Plaza Milwaukee Airport in Milwaukee

Unfortunately, the elevator closest to our room was out of order while we were there. This caused my disabled mother to make a choice between traversing the entire length of every corridor (as our room could be no farther from the front desk) or using the stairs. It was upon finding these stairs, which ultimately was my mother's choice, that I realized […] the doors on which was a sign that read that they were kept locked, did not lock when closed. I checked this several times through the night as it made me nervous and every time they were unlocked. The commode ran all night long, one of the sleep number beds did not work so I slept on a rock all night. When I attempted to let the desk clerk know of my displeasure, he refused to listen. To start the trip off, they said the shuttle runs every 20 minutes to the airport. We waited 30 minutes only to be told by airport employees they are not reliable. The desk staff was not very interested in helping us at check in. I asked for a crib and he said "i dont think we have any" but didnt bother to check for us. The loby was great however the […] halls and room were less than impressive. The halls smelled of natural gas and cigarette smoke. The room was decent. It was very comfortable and handy for my wife and I. We left Milwaukee in June of 2000. The sleep number beds were very comfortable, we both had a good night sleep after driving all the way from Hayward, Wisconsin. I am now convinced that I need to get one of those mattresses. Really enjoyed the heated swimming pool...... Had trouble adjusting the room temperature.....

The only problem I had was with the Wi-Fi. Very poor connection with my iPad.

I will never go back

To start. The toilet ran continously all nite. Then in the morning the maids starting at 9:00AM tried coming in three times without knocking each time.

I could not sleep at all! I could hear every word the room next doors guests were saying!

The toilet bowl was clogged! Water overflowed on the floor... They let us transfer to a different room.

Ramada has done better

I have stayed at better - but also much worse. This was more "status quo" than anything else. The pool was very nice. The staff was nice. The House-keeping staff was excellent. The "complimentary" breakfast (that I paid a higher rate for) wasn't worth the money. All in all - I'd stay here again.

This Ramada had broken closet doors, beds and floor tiles. We were sent to the very farthest, most remote part of the hotel (even though they were not full) Paid for 3 people in a room but couldnt get towels for 3 people. Beds were small. We felt we were treated like the 'Poor relatives"....very unhappy with this place. Excellent location, excellent staff and service. Breakfast (included) was a hot-cooked one served at my table. Roooms are aged. Heaitng system poor. Cold wind whistled through my room under the patio door, while the heater belted out hot dry air to compensate. Poor sleep atmosphere. this hotel was not what they say. When i got there the lobby looked nice but that was it. when i got to me room there was sanitary napkins in the garbage so we went to the front desk and switched rooms. the next room we went to had fecal matter still in the toilet and we had a room that had a microwave and fridge that we were in it that we were planning […] on using but after the room change there was none when we called the front desk they told us we could take the microwave and fridge and carry it over andput it in our room.lol . the food for the breakfast was from a restaurant inside was bad you had an option of 2 things and i got the eggs my yokes were 2 different colors 1 was yellow and the other was bright orange i could not eat it. save your money not good place to stay. you couldnt even get to sleep cause the heaters were so loud ... never again Lees meer

The bed was a select comfort bed which would have been fine but it kept losing air all night! I ended up sleeping in the chair which was more comfortable than the bed! Also we were suppose to have a free shuttle to & from the airport. We got to the airport but on returning at 2:00 a.m. (our plane was an hour late), we got the luggage then called for […] the shuttle for over 10 minutes but they never answered!! The person that calls for the shuttles tried calling for another 10 minutes with no answer either so we had to get a cab back to the hotel to pivk up our car which cost us an extra $20.00, we were not happy with that!!! I went inside the hotel to ask why they didn't answer and there was no one at the desk, went to restroom then went back to desk and the man said he didn't know why there was no answer because he never left the desk all night. So besides room not good you also have employees that lie threw there teeth!!! he had to of been doing something for over a half hour because he sure wasn't at the desk!!! I THINK THEY SHOULD HAVE TO REFUND ME THE $20.00 THAT I HAD TO SPEND ON THE CAB TO GET BACK TO THE HOTEL TO PICK UP MY CAR!!!! Lees meer

I read the reviews before I booked it and they kinda made me worry, but I was looking more at price. I was pleasantly surprised! Yeah it's not a 5 star hotel, but for the price it was amazing. The 'continental' breakfast you actually sit down in the restaurant and a waitress takes your order and brings it and everything. You can have eggs or oatmeal, […] hashbrowns, toast, sausage or bacon, juice, and coffee. I was impressed. The pool is wonderful, super warm, there's a nice fitness room, a beautiful ballroom that my 15 mo old loved running around in, a restaurant.... the rooms were super nice, our sleep number bed didn't work but oh well. I was really pleased with my stay at the Ramada. Easy to catch the shuttle there and back, friendly check in staff, convenient business center to print my boarding pass, and SLEEP NUMBER BED!! I didn't have breakfast there but it was available and if I have a later flight next time I'll try it.

Althought slightly dated this motel is very nice.However, the hallway carpet on the 2nd floor could have been much cleaner or replaced! We would stay here again.

hotel employees were really nice and the breakfast was GREAT. The lady in the breakfast area was really nice. the rooms are small and look outdated. There was an annoying noise coming from the light in the bathroom when u turned it on. It was really loud. our room was close to the laundry room area and it looks really bad. Hallways look old. The maid never vacuumed, and the carpet was so stained and dirty it was disgusting. The wait-gals in the restaurant (for free breakfast) were delightful. The bar food (onion rings and chicken wings) were almost inedible. The martinis were very watered down. I will never eat in the bar area again. The breakfast was ok.

They hosted a Mariachi Band event that lasted until midnight. Our room was as far away from the event room as possible, but still kept us awake until the event was over. It was horrible!!! The bathroom was dirty. The hotel needs some updates. The pool was too cold for the kids to enjoy and it needed to be cleaned.

Staff is very friendly and the facilities are good. Shower heads are very low and the carpets are disgusting.

Good location for seeing city, and thats about it! Nearly ripped out the bottom of my car getting into the parking lot. Closet door fell off the guide trying to get it open, iron was broken, no exhaust fan working in bathroom, and getting balcony door open it was so stuck I cut my hand forcing it open. Check-in person was rude, and unhelpful.

The ac didn't work in the room got changed to the different room however the ac in that room didn't go under 75degrees. Manager said it was an issue with control but it would b fixed the next day. Let's just say we checked out 3 days later with ac still on 75degrees with outside temp in milwuakee over 80 degrees. The maid didn't clean the room she inly […] fixed the bed. There was a burn hole in the comforter. There was a bug in the lobby.

Arrived at 8 pm and still had to wait 20 minutes for room to be cleaned. Room was dirty and it appeared the sheets had not been changed! Not sure they cleaned at all!! Close to airport with free shuttle which worked out very well. The ratings for the hotel were fairly good but very misleading. Would not stay here again if the room were free!

Apparently this hotel has experienced some sort of severe water damage within the last year. The rooms on the 2nd floor had peeling wall paper, water damage on the ceiling and mold in the corners. The rooms had the musty smell of a damp basement. The bathroom was not clean, there was mildew around the tub and the tiles. The Sleep number beds have seen […] their day and need to be replaced. The pool was disgusting, water shouldn't be cloudy. I do not recommend this hotel unless it undergoes some serious renovations. Lees meer

So many bad things - here's a summary: They say "free breakfast" but no menu, empty coffee pots, one waiter that couldn't take on the 4-5 tables of people that were there. He asked what kind of juice we wanted - that was it - no order - and that never came. After 20 minutes we gave up and went to McDonald's across the street. Other tables did likewise. […] I had other friends there the next night and that happened to them as well the next morning. Back door says "locked - need room key to enter" - but it was fully unlocked and open the 3 nights we were there - 24 hours a day. Elevator broken and stayed that way for the last 2 nights. Dirty, old, scary looking hallways. Fire alarm went off in the afternoon - we went outside - eventually went back in and inquired at front desk. They had ignored it and just said "oh, sorry" and went back to whatever it was they were doing. We won't be going back. Lees meer

The elevators didn't work, no coffee in the room, no help from the staff. I understand things go wrong, but I was highly disappointed in the fact that ALL the staff just didn't care. The over-reaching attitude was "tough, we can't help you."

This hotel was very nice. The room was clean and just what I needed after a long day on the road. The staff was friendly and responsive to all of my needs.

the wing we where put on did smell of smoke. I was on the understanding the rooms also came with comp. water/which we did not have. Please check the fridge, we had left overs that did not belong to us. Wonderful to have a fridge and microwave. Also we went to brewer game and ended up taking a taxi per front desk, because hotel didnt provide a shuttle. […] After game we went to a bar just down the road and found out her provides a shuttle and he told us he has talked to hotel and they know and have his information. This hotel was easy to find, right off the highway. there was some road construction going on in front but they still had 2 entrances. Lobby was clean and inviting. Pool was a very nice area of the hotel. The hallways and rooms look a little tired (spots on carpet and dull paint on walls) and could use freshening. Back door was supposed to be key entry […] but we could open doors without key. Our room window opened to the back curtain of banquet hall, so open up the curtains and see the backs of another curtain. They had sleep number beds but one didn't work( we had a double room). The walls are a little thin we were woken up 2x's by neighboring room noises. Complimentary breakfast was lacking and so was the service in that area. Lees meer

I decided to take my first family vacation to Milwaukee and decided to keep it cheap and this hotel was right in my price range, I have now learned my lesson you get what you pay for. The hotel was not dirty and i guess it is "newly remodeled" sort of, the rooms are old and the hallways are old and narrow, they need new carpet, there was a picture in […] my room that the glass was broken, the tub wouldnt drain right and during my shower i would have water to my ankles they have a BEAUTIFUL banquet room, which unfortuntely was the only view from my room which weirded me out a little,you can hear EVERY noise from the hallway which is bad for a light sleeper like me. they do server a free all american breakfast which is a joke and I normally dont complain about free things but they might as well not serve anything thats how pathetic it is we didnt even bother to go the second morning. the pool was really nice however it was quite small, the hotel staff was awkward to say the least and they were very little help while checking in. one of the elevators was shakey and i was afraid to take my children on it. my husband did love the sleep number bed but the one i shared with my daughter was broken, we may have just gotten a bad room but next time i will not take my chances with this hotel. I got there around 5:45 pm, waited in line for about ten minutes, and was promptly informed that my room, which I had booked a reservation almost a week in advance, still needed to be cleaned and that it would be another half hour at least. Concierge had it about right, and half an hour later I was in my room. In Ramad's defense, they did hook me up […] with a free breakfast (I believe it normally costs money). My only other complaint is that for some reason the hallway that my room was in smelled partially like a wet dog. Not sure what was up with that. My room was clean, and somewhat comfortable. We parked our car here while we flew to california, the shuttle took us to the airport and picked us up on return. Our stay was wonderful except my daughter forgot her ipod in the room, and after I phoned the motel, it was never turned in.

I had a recent family vacation here and we had lots of kids. The pool was great and they had a game room and they also had a large banquet room that was in the middle of everything that the kids could run around in. The hotel itself was a bit dank, but it was a place to sleep!

Hello. We just stayed here for 3 nights. The restaurant has very limited hours. The free breakfast has very limited choices and you can't order anything off the menu for breakfast. The beds are nice if you find one that works. The pool is great. Clean and warm, indoor. The health club is a joke. No remote for the tv and most of the equipment is rusted […] badly- right adjacent to the indoor pool. There are no pay movies as advertised. I still feel for the price paid it is a good deal. Not a 4 or 5 star by any means but good accomodations for a fair price. Also Mey & Dale are great staff - very helpful and friendly. The carpet is dirty but my feet did not turn black as other people stated. The shower head in the bathroom is awesome. Lees meer

The carpet was really stained in room 320 but overall the quality of service of was excellent except we weren't able to eat off our restaurant passes at 6AM due to lack of staff coverage. The lady at the front desk was very accomodating. She made it worth the stay! Thanks again,
