Clarion Resort and Waterpark in Kissimmee

The hotel seems as if someone started remodeling but ran out of money. The water area is a nice little get away that is inexpensive, however the cleanliness of the room and most of the hotel leaves a lot to be desired. We got in about 8:30 pm, and there were stains on the couch and carpet. The toilet leaked and their solution: put a towel down. There […] were also feces stains on the wall of the bathroom. When we called the front desk. They laughed but sent someone down. However, their idea of cleaning it was spraying it and wiping it once with a towel. They then threw the towel down on the bathroom floor. Having a toddler, that didn't cut it for me. Positives: we couldn't hear anything from anywhere around us and we were facing the waterpark. was very close to heritage park, but one direction has no cross over to the entrance so we had to pass it and turn a u turn to enter. That was a bit of a hassle. There was no do not disturb sign to put out and the cleaners couldn't hear me through the door so came in. Also there was a rather large bug one am. We stayed here for my 5 yr olds bday, she was 1/2 in too short for the 3 waterslides so she was sad ( u have to be 44 inches ) the waterpark was ok , my 7 yr old enjoyed it. The water was like ice, The chairs were falling apart, the rooms smelled like bleach yet they were dirty, my kids feet were black. Wish I had payed attention to the negative reviews I had read. I thought that they must be written by super fussy people. Now I know they were not and that the good reviews must be written by people with extremely low standards for cleanliness, comfort, and safety. The place was in deep disrepair. The pictures on the website are either photoshopped […] or of a different Clarion location. The room was absolutely filthy. I have photos to support the letter I will be writing to Clarion corp. You could see the marks on the floor where the mop went through the middle of the room only. There were ants along the crevice where the wall meets the floor behind the bed I'm assuming due to the crumbs of long gone crackers, cereal, cookies, what have you. I even found a piece of uneaten apple between the mattress and the headboard of one of the two queen beds. The other had a top sheet with a stain, and the lampshade on the lamp coming out of the headboard had small droplets of blood stains. Judging from the area the motel was in it may very well have been remnants of a past crime scene. On this note the lighting was very poor in the parking lot (and in the room as well) especially for what at a quick glance anyone could see was a bad neighborhood. I desperately needed cough medicine one night and decided to go without rather than walk around the perimeter of the building after dark. I am from NY and am no stranger to being out all hours of the evening/riding the subway, cabbing it about town solo, etc and I was scared. I did not sleep well at all due to the dirty state the room was in. I kept feeling bugs all over all night. When I showered in the AM, there were dead bugs in the tub that must have come up from the drain and the floor was so filthy I had to wear shoes while I got ready and decided what to wear. I have not seen a motel like this since I was 16 and stayed at a dirty jersey shore hovel after prom. Also calling it a "resort" takes big ones as maybe this would be conside Lees meer

My kids and I had the best time. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotels has plenty for the kids to do (keep my kids busy all day). We had such a wonderful time. This is my family's second time at this resort. Both times were enjoyable without complaint.

Obviously, the attraction here is the pool. Otherwise, this is just a run-of-the-mill roadside motel. But the pool areas are awesome! Very well designed and managed. My kids played all day there and loved it. That's a lot cheaper than most other things you can do with them in Orlando.

Great hotel for what we wanted... To take the kids on a little trip away and still have a waterpark experience. Employees were great and we had alot of fun!!

The hotel has check in time at 4p. The water park section closed at 6 and the slides are closed at 5pm. It does not get dark until 8p. To make it worse by the time you finish checking in, the water park section is closed. Which is the main reason for me coming to this location. The ice machine on our floor was broke during my stay. When I first saw the price was 50% off I assumed it was due to a bad ecomnomy, but after arriving and checking in I soon found out why. The condidtion of the hotel can only be described as being in disrepair. The pull out couch in my room was stain covered and the room smelled of mildew. My son had a wrestling competition in Kissimmee Orlando. Seven parents of the wrestling team got together and we decided to rent at the same hotel for one night. My bad experience started at the moment when I had to pay for hotels amenities which i did not use. when I got to the hotel that night at 12:20 a.m and did my check out at 7:30 am next morning. […] In my opinion this charge was an abuse taking into concideration the time I spent in that hotel. Not only that, the elevator was very dirty. My room had one bed and two bunkbeds but the mattress for the bunkbeds were to thin, you could feel the wood under. In fact very unconfortable. My bath tub was cloged and my neighbors fronm next room had no towels to dry themselves. Furthermore, another friends of mine who also rented a room that night couldn't sleep becasue the room next to them had some dogs inside and they were barking all night long. Another friends who also rented for that night only get the lower part of the bunkbed because the top part was never found in the room. Actually he went to the lobby and asked for the top part. As you can see I was not only one who had a bad experience that night. I did report the incident with my bath tub when I did my check out, but I couldn't call room service that morning because we all were in a hurry. The kids had to be at a certain time for that competition. But nevertheless, in my opinion rooms should be ready for the guests and these inccidents should not happened in a Hotel like Clarion. The location was great for our event @ Silver Spur Arena. Few things were not great. The hotel charged an extra $15.00 a day for the waterpark (upon check-in) that was not in the original price. Did not like the fact that the waterpark closed at 5:00pm. If you do anything during the day, you did not get to use the waterpark that you had to pay an extra […] $15.00 for. Housekeeping took dirty towels out of room and did not replace them. Called front desk twice. An hour after first call, got more towels. The room looked clean overall except in the bathroom there were dirty footprints on the wall that could have been wiped off. Made me wonder about the "cleanliness" of the rest of room. When we arrived the room that the hotel booked for us was very dirty. The beds were not made. The room was very messy. The bathroom had hair in the tub. There was trash from the prior person in there. We complained to the hotel they gave us another room, but I believe they should have given us some money off for the stay as well, but they did not. I tried 3 vending machines, one of which would not take my money, and 2 more that were out of product. Our key did not work TWICE after returning from dinner, and finally--the promised paperwork for a expedited checkout never arrived. The staff's response was basically--"Oh well!" The price was good, but next time I'll pay more for a better place.

Be aware hotel charges a mandatory fifteen dollar fee when you check in for the waterpark. Cheap if you use it. Expensive if you don't!

The hotel was good the only compliant I have is that when you check in you are charged a 15 resort waterpark fee. Didn't know that when I booked online and I think its ridiculous to pay 15 dollars extra if your staying and paying for a room. It's just my opinion.

I booked the room for my brother, who doesn't use a computer because he is legally blind, although he has some peripheral vision. When we arrived the hotel demanded a $15 mandatory fee for use of the water park, which was previously undisclosed. I explained that we were there to attend the nearby auto show and wouldn't be using the "water park". No […] matter, they demanded the $15 fee. My brother decided to go ahead and pay the fee. the room vurtually reeked of chlorox when we arrived and made it hard to breathe. The shower head was broken but they fixed it quickly I will say.

I was not told there was a fee per day for the waterpark. This was not included in the price I paid Hotels.com.

Can't complain but there are others hotels that are just as good and cheaper.

We were only in the room for about ten minutes before we checked out. we ended up staying at a very lovely, very safe Holiday Inn by the airport that had several other hotels and restaurants around it. I would not have the person I like least in the world stay here. Reasons for speedy check-out: 1) I thought that at any moment someone was going to […] snatch me from the deserted parking lot that it was plopped in the middle of. 2) There was an inch of the couch that was not covered with stains on it. 3) There was NOTHING around it. Not even a McDonalds and those are everywhere. 4) Water park actually looks NOTHING like the one in the pictures. It's a rather miniature bad version of it. 5) 'Full service restaurant' does not open until after 5 p.m. and is only open until 9 p.m. Before that had to get your food off of the not so sanitary grill by the pool. 6) Under 'Guestrooms' the only thing they had was the desk and chair. We had chosen this motel, because it is not a resort, because it was less than a mile from the person were were visiting. Lees meer

This was a decent hotel for the stay...about what you would expect for the price. The mandatory resort fee is annoying since we didn't want or use the waterpark which was really nothing impressive anyway. The fitness room had 3 pieces of equipment and a weight bench. 2 of the machines were out of order and the weight bench had no weights. What a joke […] and disappointment. First off the sheets did not get changed. The towels did but everyday we had to go get hand towels. I didn't like the fact that the toilet seat does not have a cover. There is no where to put your clothes when you take a shower. Otherwise the stay was good. But the last day we had a slip on our door, here there was a additional charge we did not know […] about. This hotel was nice. It has a water park that is not large but sufficient to accomodate children and families. Staff was friendly and helpful. It is just off the Turnpike Exit and ideal location for such a resort and water park.

I took my kids to Orlando Fl on the 2nd of August and we loved the waterpark and hotel stay. I will admit the reviews i read had me on edge about the hotel but im glad we went and formed our own opinion;-). The location was right off the turnpike exit so we explored the city without getting lost. I loved the hotel experience!!!!

The hotel and waterpark itself are great..however there are no stores or restaurants nearby -only a few fast food restaurants and room service avail until 8 pm.. We took my grandaughter and family & friends there for her birthday weekend- we ended up having to drive almost to Celebration to find somewhere to eat other than Denny's.

I won't go there again. The "waterpark" is really in St. Cloud. Kissimmee is appx 10 miles up the road. It consists of two slides and a small moat. I wouldn't call it a waterpark. The pictures are very misleading. The surrounding area was kind of run down. The desk staff charged us a "resort fee" which wasn't mentioned on hotels.com's information. The […] front desk staff was friendly but on the first night they allowed children to run up and down the halls screaming until midnight. It didn't stop until I went to the desk and complained. The last day we didn't get any towels and had to use the "waterpark" towels. If there was a rating of 1.5, I would have given the hotel that rating. Check in was a little slow -- had to wait about 10 minutes in line. Room was clean and confortable; the only negative was a dripping bathtub faucit; not really of much concern except that it is a waste of water. The water park is very nice, especially for kids, but it was very crowded the Saturday we stayed there. This is definitely a hotel for kids, it is not a resort it is a motel with a really cool water slide park for the kids, the staff were the best I have ever dealt with.

Suppose to have (2) queen beds, they were doubles. Hectic weekend for us and just didn't have time to argue the fact. Internet access not working in our room. Not really worth the rate they charge especially when you add the additional fee from the hotel NOT included in Hotels.com rate. Waterpark doesn't allow guests to bring their own coolers into […] the water park which is just another way to make money off of their guests. And the park is really not a 'park'. When I arrived, I was surprised to be charged an additional $15 to cover the water park and the wireless Internet both of which I did not use! There was no notice @ what time the waterpark's hours of operation. I was not asked about AAA discount either. The bathroom walls were full of mildew as it was the shower curtain. The pictures made the hotel to look like more than what it was. I found dead roaches, moths mayflies in my room, water stains on the carpet and the furniture looked like it was in need of replacement. We spent a grand total 10 minutes on the property. I wasn't happy at all.

Nice big clean rooms, warm pool, great staff, good food, & drinks. The waterpark closed to early for the weekend, a lot of people in the park since they open it up to the public as well.

Don't let the outside appearance of this hotel fool you. The rooms are nice and clean and the hotel water park is a blast. We had more fun there than we did at the theme park the day before.

First, the room had an odor that wasn't pleasant. Second, we had to call the front desk to get a remote for the TV and then later we realized there were supplies to make coffee but no coffee maker in the room, so we had to call again to get a coffee maker. The tile floor in the room was very dirty...the bottoms of my feet were black with dirt after […] walking across it a few times. The pool and waterpark area were nice but when we checked in it would've been nice if the front desk person would've told us that the waterpark closed in less than an hour...we wouldn't have paid the extra $10 fee had we known since we were only staying until the next morning. lack of attention to maintenance details gave this hotel on ":older look" This showed especially in bathrooms.

The hotel had been remodeled and the inside of the room was modern. When we first walked into the room it appeared very clean and smelled great. Unfortunately the housekeeping team left ALOT to be desired, rarely leaving towels for us, never vacuumed, and the coffee pot was left full with mold from the last tenants of the room. On a good note, when […] we called the front desk they were always helpful and polite and attempted to correct the housekeeping issues when they could. The breezeways and stairwells were extremely dirty and low class. I would stay there again because the kids loved the pool...but only if I were getting it for a bargain! Lees meer

Very nice rooms and very nice waterpark BUT not well located, too far from Disney parks, only one shuttle a day for Disney is not enough (departure 9am, return 10pm), cab to Disney very expensive (60$ to Magic Kingdom, one way), waterpark hours only from 10am to 5pm (same hours as Disney if you take the 9am shuttle with return at 10pm... means that […] you have to choose between Disney and waterpark, you cannot have both!)
