This hotel had everything we could possibly ask for. Yes, there are parts that are under construction. But overall it's a pretty quiet place and was conveniently located for the things my family wanted to do. It was right next to 101 freeway so we were only 45 minutes away from San Francisco which made our day trip easy. We found atleast 4 malls within […] a 15 mile radius which gave us lots of dinning and entertainment options. It was also about a 10 minute drive to the Mystery House. The room was comfortable and the free breakfast was wonderful. Occasionally I heard a plane from the nearby airport, but it did not bother me or keep me awake at night. I would highly recommend this place and will keep it on my list of places to try again. Lees meer

The hotel was quite good for the price. You will hear some planes, but that is expected as it is an airport location. The hotel is going through some remodeling. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They even had directions already printed out to some local restaurants (and the routes kept you off the main freeways). I appreciated that.

Convenient location to Silicon Valley destinations and shopping. I have taken small groups of high school students to Silicon Valley to visit a variety of employers and museums, and this has worked well for us three years in a row. I normally don't bother with reviews but I need to warn everyone. The price was semi okay but the hotel is undergoing a major remodel and you had to drive around construction equipment and they worked late and early. The bathtub had a peeling bottom and so did the soap dish. The exterior window didn't close all of the way. A little iffy at this point. […] It was clean otherwise and quiet. The number one thing for an airport hotel is to either be close enough to walk to from the airport or have good shuttle service to the hotel from the airport. We arrived at about 11:26 pm wt the San Jose airport which had many flights arriving at about the same time or even later. We went to the area for hotel shuttle pick-up with dozens of other people. […] Shuttles kept coming from many other hotels and soon the area was empty except for us. I called the hotel and they said shuttle service stops at 11 pm. We had to take a very expensive taxi to the hotel. I have to say that the young man at the reception could not have been nicer and was very apologetic (I know it wasn't his fault); we were upstairs and there was no elevator and we were tired and he helped us with our luggage and would not accept a tip and should be commended for his kind gestures. The hotel itself was nothing special but ok, and had a decent breakfast. But why was this THE ONLY HOTEL without shuttle service for all of the later arriving passengers? Lees meer

This hotel is WAY overpriced. At 6am you hear the flights right above the building. The fire alarm went off twice. The floor was really dirty. Stay Away!!

Mike the overnight check in guy etc was awesome. He was patient, pleasant, helpful and courteous. He deserves accolades!

My husband and I were traveling from NC on our way to Maui, so we broke up our trip by staying at this hotel. While in need of renovation, it was still clean, and simple with very good beds. We got 2 queens and stayed there coming and going. Just the thing for a nice rest. The breakfast room was small, but the variety of free foods was excellent including […] hot sausages, bacon, and scrambled eggs plus biscuits and gravy..and fully stocked with breakfast cereals, yogurt, bagels,English muffins, and fresh fruit. The coffee was well brewed too. Above all, the hotel shuttle was prompt. We called them from baggage claim and they arrived in 10 minutes. We told the office we wanted a 7AM shuttle to the airport those next mornings, and our luggage was loaded for us, and the steps to get into the van were low enough for me. I have a bad knee, so this really came in handy. We've had great luck with the La Quinta Inns everywhere we've traveled. They also had a computer available so we could print out our boarding passes and check into our airlines. If you are looking for fancy schmancy, you won't find it here, but you will find courtesy, a good price, great accomodations, large rooms and restful sleep. Unlike the fancy hotels where people congregate outside your door at 3AM after a night on the town, this place is quiet and restful. If you have mobility issues like I did, be sure to ask for a first floor room not far from the office..The hotel is remodeling, and we had breakfast with some of the workers..all friendly and quiet..They were in and out pretty quickly. Im so glad we stopped and got some rest between legs of our trip. The tv's in the room were not the new widescreen versions, but just large tv's however the reception was good. Good value for the money and a good location. Unfortunately my room was next to the Burger King Drive thru, but still there was surprisingly little noise from it.

Solid Hotel/motel experience. Nothing fancy but had all the basics, decent bed, good location near the freeways and free wireless Its not a luxury hotel by any stretch of the imagination or probably the best vacation hotel, but if you need a place to stay, its very solid

This hotel was very nice and clean. There are a few restaurants in the vicinity and it is very close to the San Jose Airport. I will stay here again.

Could hear guest footsteps upstairs through the sqeaky floor. Not up to current sound insulation standard of construction.

Everything was fine with the room. We stayed just to catch an early flight out. Room was very clean and exceeded my expectations. A little on the high end but not bad.

Old building with updated cosmetics, but old plumbing & old windows. Lots of noise from vibrating pipes, the airport & the freeway. Didn't get a decent night's sleep all week.

Although airplane noice is quite loud outside, it is not a problem in the room. The fan/heater noice in the room was a bit more of a disturbance in the night. Overall, it is a quiet hotel near traffic arteries.

I chose this hotel because I needed something close to the airport. This is an old facility that needs renovation. My 1st room was on a corner adjacent to an outside door. That made the room noisy, and it was musty, plus stains on the carpet and furniture. I asked for another room, the second was less musty and fewer stains but still not good. The driver […] told me that they were going to start renovation after the 1st of 2012 with a spring completion. I would not use this hotel until then. Despite these issues, the staff was good. BAD: A FEW HAIRS IN BATHTUB. GOOD: FRIENDLY STAFF AND SUPER CLOSE TO THE SAN JOSE AIRPORT.

Stayed here just one night prior to early flight the next morning. Fine for this situation, but wouldn't want to stay any longer. Room was clean and quiet but it's a very old property.

It's an older hotel, but fairly well maintained. This was our second time staying there.The breakfast wasn't as good as it was on a previous visit. The beds are just so so. It's only two stories, but no elevator, so dragging your suitcase and an ice chest upstairs was a pain. All in all ok for a short visit.

During my last stayed at this hotel: -Curtain is broken, not fully closed. -TV is very old, the color worn out and very blurry. -It was a non-smoking room but smelled smoky, sheets and pillows smelled terrible. *Wouldn't recommend this hotel to others!!

Extremely convenient since it was off the freeway and there is a Burger King within the same lot. There was mold on the roof of the bathroom and the shower knob was not properly working. The price wasn't too bad and the room was clean but I don't think I'll be coming back......

Takes only about 10 minutes on the shuttle to the airport (shuttle only runs on the hour and half-hour) be sure to request at check-in. Our room was clean and comfortable; price was good . We'll stay here again when we fly into SJC.

had a room with two beds and three people but only had 2 towels and 1 wash cloth. had to go to front desk for more. place could use a coat of fresh paint

Clean, comfortable rooms, welcoming and friendly hotel staff, nice pool & pool area. Workout room could use an eliptical trainer, but was otherwise adequate. Quiet, except when jets took off or landed directly overhead (the hotel is at the end of the SJ airport runway). Breakfast food was good, plentiful and fresh. The waffle makers even worked well […] - a rarity in my experience with other hotels. The in-room coffee was also quite good. Wireless Internet service was reasonably speedy and worked flawlessly. We stayed for 3 nights during a conference in downtown San Jose. It takes less than 10 minutes to get to/from the SJ Convention Center during peak morning and afternoon hours because you will be traveling in the opposite direction of the main traffic flow. We had problems with some very noisy people in the hall way and the management took care of it immediately and then called to ask us to call back if the noise were to start up again. VERY good service.

We were very pleased with this hotel. Everything about it was good. We stood there four nights and everything was great!. We even had fresh scrambled eggs for breakfast the last two days we were there plus sausage, cereal, waffles, etc. The only problem was at night the noise of the planes bothered us slightly since it was located close to the airp […] ort. Good hotel - great beds. Clean rooms. The location isn't good for eating though - Burger King, lousy Chinese place. Otherwise, comfy bed, clean room, good price. Really nice staff at front desk.

We arrived late due to plane delays and the San Jose La Quinta was the perfect place to rest our weary bones. It was a lovely room at a very reasonable rate. Everything was very clean. The free breakfast was terrific. We would definitely stay at a La Quinta again. We had a great experience. Thank you.

Between the Airport, hwy 101, Trimble Road, and the aircon unit next door the room was so noisy I couldn't sleep

The inn was clean, everything was functioning, the neighborhood was reasonable, we didn't get disturbed by the noise of Airplanes taking off as we thought we would. The breakfast is also reasonable, though the breakfast area is a little small and messy. All in all, a good choice for a medium budget.

We loved this hotel! It was clean, comfortable and overall a wonderful stay. The continental breakfast was amazing. Service was great. Free laundry service. Loved it.

In San jose for business training so most of day for three days I only showered and slept in the king size bed single room. I have no issues. Shower was clean, area was quiet. I was about 1/4 mile from Light rail to my event but the hotel shuttle driver gladly took me (he was scheduled to airport on the hour). Staff was nice, breakfast had decent variety […] and even waffles u make yourself. Although close to airport if I had not a friend who rented a car i may have had trouble with the return from the HP pavilion in downtown but thats not the hotels fault. Overall I'd reccommend this as I was quite picky being a woman alone but I felt very safe. Lees meer

This was an overnight stay for a morning flight and we were very happy with the room ( king sized bed and good mattress) clean and comfortable. Our rate was very reasonable and the location close to the airport got us there with a ten minute shuttle ride. On the negative side, the shuttle runs only every hour ( which may be inconvenient depending on […] flight time) and the morning breakfast room was so slammed with people it was difficult find a place to sit down and eat.. Overall, I'll opt for clean and comfortable so I'll give it a 4. Lees meer

Very nice property in a great location in Silicon Valley. Very good breakfast. But it is located near an expressway and at the end of the runway for the San Jose airport and hallway noise tended to migrate into the room. While it did not bother me, I can see some light sleepers having a problem.

Shuttle service stops running at 11PM! Strangely dressed women walking through the parking lot talking on their cell phones to various companions. The room was clean and fairly large - nothing special at all. The best thing about it is that it's cheap.
