Quality Inn and Suites Eugene-Springfield in Springfield

Sticky rug in front of the fridge, dust covered chairs, a kleenex box in the wall with the cover hanging off, tiny pillows, a "healthy" breakfast made of refined carbs and mixes. Gravy and grits is healthy? Free wifi but nowhere to sit with your laptop. Tiny bathroom with a toilet to trip over when getting out of the shower. Need I say more?

The front desk and housekeeping staff were professional, friendly and let me know that making me happy was top priority. However to the management...... The hot breakfast offering hot waffles and hot beverages, and cold everything else was not as great as the breakfast offered at other places that offered bacon,sausage,eggs, waffles and cold stuff. I […] felt misled after looking forward to what I thought a hot breakfast would be. Although it was clear that steps have been taken to stop the following problem... the room seemed clean and kept up well by the housekeepers. But as a former housekeeper I like to strip the bed linens off before I leave. Its an addition to my tip. Imagine my horrer when two dead cockroaches came flying off from under the fitted sheet!!! For all your business folk (like me) who are continually frustrated with hotel "fitness centers", this hotel does not have one. This is a very good thing, as they allow you to go to either of 2 local Gold's Gyms. I went to the one about 5 minutes away in Eugene. It was a standard Gold's and is open 24 hours/day. We had a king bed room on the third floor. Definitely recommend a third floor room as it had a vaulted ceiling which made the room feel larger. The bathroom was tiny, but that was not an inconvenience. Close to the highway entrance ramp and our room faced that side, but we did not hear noises from the traffic at all. We stayed at the hotel in Springfield,Oregon last Friday night. My husband had taken a sleeping pill and went right to sleep . I laid awake listening to a sound like a pipe letting off steam all night. I told the person at the desk about it in the am, and was told, "gee, thats what the last people who had that room said" It was room 331. I didn't think […] to much of her answer. She said she was sorry. So was I, it would'ev been nice to have had a nights sleep, that we had paid for. Lees meer

The staff was very nice and professional but this place is kind of a dump. We had two rooms and they both smelled quite bad. In one room we got "locked in" - literally could not leave the room and had to have maintenance come down and pry the lock off. Then later our key wouldn't work and we had to get new ones. And they keys only sometimes worked for […] the outside doors. Also, the bathroom was ridiculously small. I'm normally not too picky - just want something that is clean and has the basics. Great place for dog but we were to be on the 3rd floor and asked had to ask for 1st. Room was not cleaned on 2nd day until 2:45 at which time we had returned with the dog and cleaning the room then just wasn't going to work.

I breezed in and out for wedding, and was glad I only needed the room for 1 night. The eating area for breakfast was small and cramped, they allow dogs so I am woken up at 6AM by a loud yelping dog, and I had barely enough room to walk around the bed on the side. Overall, if you need a quick place to sleep for a night, this place is okay.

Comfortable room in a convenient location. Just needed a place to stay traveling through for the night.

We were in town for a wedding. We have stayed in Quality Inns before and have always been extremely satisfied. This stay was no exception - the beds were very comfortable, the room was clean and very welcoming and best of all it was Quiet!!!

The hotel was good ,service on the counter and breakfast was great .did not have much time to looks around due not enough time.one of the room had some smoking smell requested to be change and was done. rest all was good.

Not happy. Room was tiny. Cheap TV. Staff was average. WILL NOT stay here again. If you are going to charge what you charge, UPGRADE!

The hotel was very conveniently located next to the I5 highway. There were about 5 other major hotels in the same area. This hotel looked newer than some of the others. The rooms were big, clean and comfortable. Very good value. I would stay there again.

For the price, this hotel had that smell of cigarette smoking and staleness. The room looked clean, but the smell was almost too much. For the price, the room odor should not make the guest feel nausea.

EAsy in, easy out off freeway. Breakfast was sufficient to start day. A/C unit in room left a lot to be desired...noisy, broken face plate and air direction slats.

I love this hotel, it is right off the freeway and close to food places. As a female traveling alone, I felt very safe at this hotel and surroundings.

Although this is not a fancy hotel, it suited our needs. We were running the Eugene 1/2 Marathon; the staff offered late check out to all runners so we could get cleaned up after the race. The coffee/breakfast bar was opened early so we could eat before the event. Very thoughtful.

I only had one problem with the hotel, the shower head did work! The room overall was clean and comfortable. But as a traveler, one needs to take a shower. I wasnt very comfortable taking a bath in a hotel. When I did tell the lady at check out, she said she would tell maintenance. I would have likes come compensation, but what can you do.

Construction (temporary, I hope) made accessing the hotel difficult. Also at night the construction made the area a little scary.

The room was clean, the TV worked, and it had a vaulted ceiling. But the bathroom was tiny.

I would say this hotel is slightly better then the surrounding 2 star hotels in the area. I've stayed at a majority of the hotels in Springfield and many in Eugene (I stay in the area every week and go with the best deal at the time) I would have to say that the price I paid (this time) was well worth the quality of the hotel.

This place was perfectly adequate for our needs passing thru town (except we didn't have that good a view of the fireworks!!). We appreciated the free access to the nearby (5 min drive) Golds Gym for a good workout as opposed to some other places which have small fitness rooms with minimal equipment.
