Flannery's Hotel Galway in Galway

Kwalitatief redelijk hotel, goede bedden, kan wat schoner, inrichting wat achterhaald. Lopen naar het centrum is ruim 20 minuten. Personeel aardig en klantgericht.

Goed eten, leuke bediening, kamers zeer netjes, vriendelijk personeel.

If you go to Galway for a few days, the Flannery's is definitly worth considering. We had a good deal on the full Irish breakfast and the bar also has a selection of food and drink available at competitive prices. It's a few minutes by car to the city centre but there's also a bus stop nearby to take you downtown.

Convenient location and excellent service

Most of the staff are not properly trained, but everything else was fine

The hotel was clean, staff friendly and food lovely, was convenient for our stay as visiting friends nearby. Would gladly use again if needed.

I was on business trip to galway booked in for one night. room and bed were very clean and comfortable .was in residents lounge had a evening meal which was very reasonable and tasty . staff were very friendly.

my wife and daughter and myself stayed in this hotel for one night the staff were very friendly and seemed very happy in their jobs which is a scarce trait plus they were mostly irish which is a novelty now the non irish staff were also nice i will be back here again. the prices were very reasonable too thanks flannerys

This is a great hotel - well-appointed, good value breakfast - plenty to eat and well cooked, and the staff avery helpful. It is about a mile from the centre of Galway, so can be a bit of a trek with the wind a nd rain coming off the Atlantic, but there is a regular bus till late at night. The hotel does have the benefit of its own taxi rank.

We were expecting something a bit smaller but were pleasantly surprised. clean , comfortable and the staff were helpful. good breakfast. Even tho it wasn't in the downtown area it was easy to get to by bus. Quiet and safe neighbourhood. Would stay there again.

This hotel is perfect for a weekend to galway,its nice and homely. The non smoking rooms are a bit more modern than the smoking rooms as we were in a non smoking room 1st but got moved as we requested a smoking room. But both are just as nice! This hotel is perfectly located with free parking. bus or easy walk to city center. clean and comfortable. Price is always good and you have a choice whether you want breakfast or not.. we like it. we detest per/person sharing pricing system that is so prevalent in Ireland so Flannery's wins hand down.

Worst hotel room of a 5-hotel trip: small, cold, damp, musty. View from window was of trash heap. Incredible amount of noise, yet we stayed at this location outside the city to be away from pub-related noise. Some other rooms appeared larger, so maybe we got the worst one.

We found the Hotel very good with helpful staff and good breakfast. Bus access to the city from just outside the hotel. Overall a very pleasant experience. Would certainly return.

Downstairs is rather dated but the Staff are more than willing to assist you with your needs.Really nice and always smilling. Upstairs the rooms are 4/5 star not 3 Very clean tidy and modern. Great value for money.

My husband, daughter and I stayed at the Flannery Hotel in Galway for one night. The toilet did not flush, the curtains fell to the floor when my husband touched them to look outside, the tub did not look clean, the bedspreads were old and ratty, furniture was old and ratty. more than surpassed my expectations. room was lovely, staff friendly and efficent.

Stayed here after a night in a wonderful hotel so maybe a little unfair comparsion. An ok hotel, nothing special, pleasent staff, close to cinema, food ext, but quite dated. Obviously built in 70's / 80's and although decor has been updated, hotel feels old. very clean though.

A pleasant stay. Polite and consistently good staff. A particularly comfortable bed , however parts of hotel very dated. Nothing bad about this hotel but nothing memorable either.

Hotel was very nice, staff was super friendly and helpful.

Much better than expectations. Really comfy bed, great full Irish breakfast at only E6.50. Bus stop to city centre right outside.

We spent three very pleasant days in Galway. Flannerys was great in every way with one tiny exception. The safe was at floor level and to read the useage instructions I had to lie down on the floor. Excellent hotel, a hidden gem in the otherwise overpriced hotels in Galway. As long as you're not too proud to take a short bus ride, this hotel gives the 4* in the city a run for their money and at half the price. Staff excellent, service excellent, room were gorgeous and rates were excellent for May Bank Holiday weekend, cheaper than many B&B's had […] to offer adn they wer estill a bus/taxi out of the city centre. Unfortunately on the Saturday night there was a stag party in the room opposite and the children and I were woken in the early hours, I had to ring reception to complain, the complaint was dealt with quickly. The staff in flannery's were all so welcoming and helpfull. The food was excellent and very reasonably priced.The room was clean BUT the only failt i would have with the hotel was that the room we were staying in the curtains were well past needing new ones they were rippped and would not close fully which suprised me as the rest of the hotel was so […] well maintained.Apart from that i would recommend the flannery to anyone stayin in galway. Good functional on the outskirts. Staff were pleasant and helpful. reasonable price

The hotel needs to be updated. The beds have old throws on them with old blankets underneath, I think they are very unhygenic as there not cleaned after each stay, and the curtains are very old and grubby! Also my room was very very cold. No heat turned on until 5pm and even then it was very cold. We had to ask 3 times for an extra heater to be brought […] up to our room. We had 4 rooms booked and the other 3 rooms warn't cold so it was just our room, the others were warm. Even with the extra heater our room never fully heated up. The hallway was warmer. I love the heat so this did disappoint me. 1 of the rooms in our group did get a nice room, they seem to have been renovated and this room was nice, modern & clean. Still a bit small but much nicer then the other rooms. The location was good, just a short taxi ride to almost everyting. Lees meer

we arrived after 10pm and were met by friendly staff and got our room key quickly. Our room on the 4th floor was ample for our short stay and clean. Would recommend this hotel to others. Louise 22/10/10

Friendly staff. Nice hotel. A small fridge would be nice. Meal (chicken) could have been better, although partners was fine.

We found the hotel staff friendly and very helpful as usual.. The menu was limited and quite boring as we were there for three nights.. We were disappointed with our room as we had stayed here a number of times before. I had requested a smoking room and I felt the decor was very drab and boring, certainly not as plesant as some of the rooms we had been […] allocated when we had stayed in the hotel prior to this trip,defiately well overdue for a makeover.. The heating was far too high and no way of turning it down in the bedroom, we had to leave the window open each night. However, the noise coming from the housing estate behind the hotel at night, sleep was limited and broken.. As previously stated we have stayed in this hotel a number of times, however we would not be returning again. Lees meer
