Radisson on Flagstaff Gardens Melbourne in Melbourne

I stayed at the Radisson for 6 nights and everyone of their staff took a personal interest in me getting the most enjoyable stay. Highly attentive to every need and even arrange a hired car for me when I was leaving to travel another 4 days in West Victoria. I would recommend this Hotel for a short or long stay.

I enjoyed the Raddison, especially the free and easy to connect Wi-fi, vowing never to stay anywhere again, in a city, if free Wi-fi was not available. The position was good and I easily walked to the State Library and Federation Square, though I could have taken the free tram service. Room comfort and breakfast also good and very friendly staff.

Rooms were excellent, food was excellent, the staff was so helpful and nice...only unpleasant thing was a fire alarm at 7 AM!

Hotel, slightly out side the main area in Melbourne, easy transport (trams) to river area. Recommend to people who wish to be in a quite area, and able to travel on public transport.

Good location from the Train station and walking distance to VIC Market,Parks,CBD and even Etihad Stadium. Quiter then city hotels.

We only stayed 1 night before moving on but the Radisson on Flagstaff was great. We took the express bus from the airport into Southern Cross Station and this hotel was just a couple of mins away on the minibus that they use to ferry people from the station to their hotels. The breakfast buffet was superb and a little discount is given if you book it […] the night before. The staff at breakfast and on reception were first class. The concierge Daryl was fantastic. He solved more than one problem for us and really made our experience worry free. Thank you Daryl for a job well done. The rest of the staff were also very good but Daryl was cut above any concierge service I have ever had.

Great CBD Hotel, perhaps not primarily designed for Families as we were quite surprised to see 2 SINGLE beds as compared to double or queen in most hotels to meet the criteria of twin beds. Although they upgraded us to a single king bed room at no extra cost upon request. Friendly staff ready to help and affordable parking in adjacent building.

Exceptionally helpful and knowledgeable staff who, simply cannot do enough to help. Ideally located in the city with excellent access to the city's tram and bus network or just a very short walk into town. The hotel bar has frequently very well discounted "happy hours" with a good selection of wines, beers and spirits and a very wide ranging menu from […] bar snacks to good value for money meals. We had a super stay for 4 nights. The room overlooked the gardens and was very quiet but the stars are the staff - plus WiFi that actually worked efficiently at a reasonable speed, unlike elsewhere in Australia. Ideal for catching the Wed night market ( Nov to Feb).

Would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to stay on the rim of the CBD. Its located in the perfect place as it is close to everything (Vic Markets, Melbourne Central, Lygon Street restaurants, China Town). The customer service was superb! - so friendly and warm and gave us some great advice and also personalised it. They were always […] happy to help. The housekeeping was also brilliant. They did a great job and although one day we were napping during the housekeeping rounds, they still came back after 5 to clean our room. I would recommend that you upgrade to a garden room (this might only be $15 extra per night). We had a great view from the room and we were on the other side of the construction so we weren't woken up by noise in the early hours. I would certainly go back to this hotel Lees meer

Hotel was good, had 3 nights and everything was fine. I wouldn't expect to be blown away, but it is a clean, quiet and comfortable hotel. Only downside was we found it's location to be slightly inconvenient with about 1km walk to the main CBD shopping area. Clean, comfortable with all amenities. The staff there are amazing - friendly and helpful. When our air conditioning didn't work they moved us to the room next and gave us a free drink after helping us to move our stuff. When I discovered I had left some chocolate in the fridge, the concierge went and collected it and put it in our fridge for us! The […] duty manager, Caroline called to make sure everything was OK after we moved and was genuinely concerned. When we left they made sure we got a cab by coming out and waving one down for us! Not right in the City but a nice stroll in and opposite a park with the markets round the corner and docklands a short ride away. Would go back again ad this is probably the best staff we have encountered in Australia and the rooms were spotless. It was also quiet even though we overlooked a new building site at the rear. The hotel was expertly cleaned each night of our five night stay, sheets changed, and all toiletries replenished every day. Courtesy umbrellas provided on a particularly rainy Melbourne afternoon. High quality room service menu which was not too unreasonably priced. Would definitely stay again without hesitation.

I was disappointed with the hotel. The rooms were pretty basic and needed updating. The foyer and restaurant areas weren't particularly inviting - it had more of a budget hotel feel than I was expecting. The only saving grace was free wifi. I won't be returning.

The Radisson on Flagstaff was a great hotel, the staff went out of their way to help, and were extra friendly and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble. Thanks guys, especially Caitlin and Gagie on the desk, and the young man in the restaurant making coffees etc.

A comfortable, clean hotel with friendly staff who were always on hand to help. Quite a distance to walk into town but taxis were readily available for a small sum. We were to arrive late - 3am - and had emailed the hotel to ensure the room was held. They responded to say all was covered and indeed it was when we arrived. We were upgraded to a "Business Room" on 8th floor - corner room, very nice. All staff very helpful with tours, directions, wi-fi setup etc. Good location for walking and public transport.

very friendly staff, excellent service, very average but adequate rooms. pillows too thick and ended up with a sore neck, but pillow menu easily fixed that. had minor problem with the lights and the service guy came immediately. free wi fi and 24 hr "business centre " aka a box with 3 pcs and magazines a bonus. also chose it for the gym and spa but […] never got there. no long queues, swift check in and out. taxis waiting out front. good location but got lost trying to find the closest decent supermarket. No hassle hotel, located to the east side within the Melbourne CBD. Walk-able to most places. Staff were helpful with my taxi bookings and obtaining an extra roll-out bed for 50 dollars (standard pricing I believe). Would visit for business/with friends again.

We enjoyed our stay at the Radisson on Flagstaff. We both found the quality of sevrvice was excellent and was impressed by how enviromently friendly they are. The food at their resturant HQ was top quality and well presented, waiting staff friendly with excellent service skills.

The hotel was very good. Good location, friendly and helpful staff and the place was well looked after. My only feedback would be to review the 10pm onward room service menu. The meals on offer were big main meals. At this time of night you are only looking for a light meal or snack. That was disappointing for a 4.5 star hotel.

Food excellent and reasonable price. Staff excellent. Daily papers available. As mid week visitors garden upgrade request appreciated. Renovated bathroom floor very very slippery but staff willingly obliged with rubber mat for shower. Unsuitable highly glossed tiles larger than foot size. Wi- fi good.
