Hampton Inn & Suites-Atlantic Beach in Pine Knoll Shores

We loved it and will be back!

The front desk people were very helpful and nice. The room was beautiful and cozy. The only downfall was there was no hot water in the mornings for showers, we had to wait until the afternoon,

The Hampton Inn & Suites-Atlantic Beach is a terrific hotel. Close to the beach, reasonably priced, large rooms, what's not to like? We found only one small problem with it. They serve free popcorn in the lobby during the afternoon. It's a great treat, but too many people abuse the privilege. Even the next morning, there were trails of popcorn kernels […] around the lobby, and even in the elevator. People should pick up after their messes. We stayed for a night in early April. It was clean and comfortable and the staff was friendly. It is close to a grocery store, restaurants, shopping. The breakfast was great, and we enjoyed the popcorn in the afternoon. The distance from the beach didn't bother us--it only took a very short walk across the road and down a boardwalk. Beautiful location, best time to go is now. Low season, the whole beach to yourself. Great seafood just minutes away.

This was one of the best Hotel experiences I've ever had. We got a great deal for a double bed with fold out bed. It was big and loved the view of the ocean. The breakfast was great and service was awesome. They had cookies, hot chocolate, and coffee available all day! What a convenient place to stay with walking distance to public beach access. Very nice staff. Clean rooms, hot breakfast and great service. We had a double room with a couch pull-out, perfect if you have older and younger kids. The only thing I would suggest is to fix the air conditioner/heating unit. It was noisy when coming on. Very clean and comfotable. Especially good breakfast and services. Only one shortcomming is window. I stayed oceanview room. But for the unclean window I was unable to enjoy the oceanview. But overall, it was very nice to stay.

We stayed one night after Christmas while traveling home from time with our family, and it was a pleasant experience. The staff was nice, the room was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was nice, too. Only problem I noticed was that I could hear the people's conversation in the room next to ours - maybe because it was an ajoining room? This is a nice hotel for what it cost.

The hotel is beautiful......but overpriced for the winter. In fact, our final deciding factor to stay here was 1) the ability to just stay in and rent an in-room movie and 2) the quality of the breakfast the previous visits. Unfortunately, the in-room movies are no longer available (although they are still listed on the hotel website!) and the breakfast […] was below par this time. I guess they are doing what all other corporations are doing now........LESS QUALITY FOR MORE MONEY!!!!! I probably will not be back when I can stay elsewhere in town for half the price. Lees meer

It's not on the beach but it's close enough, and there is public beach access right across the street. It was clean and very quiet, although it is the off season. The high season may be a bit different :-).

The stay was very fine...the only complaint was that the heat a/c unit was on some sort of automatic and i was unable to set it. Would blast on and off without any controls working to adjust. Everything else including the breakfast was fine.

we arrived about 10 or so and Dane was amazing. I had to switch hotel rooms and he made sure everything was great. Wonderful decor and the service was above and beyond. He was apologetic even when things were my fault. He was through and had a great personality thanks Dane

I loved this hotel, it was beautiful!!! The staff from the front desk to the cleaning staff was EXCELLENT!!!!!! We were very pleased with this hotel from the moment we walked in to our room. After driving for several hours as a family of 5, it was a relief to step into a spacious, clean room. We had 2 double beds, a pull out couch, a kitchenette (fridge, microwave, sink, and cabinets), and a desk. There was a cracked tile on the kitchenette floor, but other than […] that, everything was in great condition. Breakfast was great, with both cold and hot offerings. They had everything - cereal, bagels, muffins, eggs, bacon/sausage/ham on different days, waffles, fruit, etc. We ate well during our stay! The pool is a nice size and was never busy enough to feel crowded. There were plenty of lounge chairs and tables every time we went. But why use the pool when the beach is so close? The public access beach is just across the street, about a five minute walk (with 3 slow moving children). I definitely feel we got our money's worth with this hotel. Not too expensive, with amenities that we wouldn't use, and not too cheap to be sparse or uncomfortable. We had a great stay! Lees meer

The hotel was very convenient, the bed was wonderful, almost too good to leave, but the beach called to us! I would recommend this hotel.

The a/c was barely functioning, coffee pot broken, the room was dreary in appearance. There was old caked soap in the soap dish in the tub.

This Hotel is very well, but some expensive.

Hotel was very nice. The only negative item I have to report is the small amount of mold growing on the celing in the bathroom. Don't know if that is typical of beach area hotels or not.

Beware - This hotel is not on the beach. Not even close to the beach. Too far to walk to any shops or restaurants. Not worth paying for an "ocean view Room". The view of the ocean could be seen through binoculars. We had a king suite with ocean view. None of the rooms come with balconies. Window in the room did not open, feeling of claustrophobia. Our […] bed was directly beside air conditioner, which blew directly on you while laying in bed. Swimming pool was VERY small, with not enough seating. Breakfast was very good. Bed was comfortable. GREAT better then I expected, I will be going back.

With the exception of the hotel not being on the beach side of the road the room was fantastic. The personnel at the front desk, Ann and Jordan could not have been any sweeter or done anything more with the exception of moving the hotel across the street. They were absolutely wonderful.

The hotel was very clean and nice looking. The hotel room was big (we had a double bed room) and loved how the kitchenette area was offset and the Seating area as well. The hotel has recently completed a great renovation from top to bottom, trendy yet comfortable and pretty mch better than anything else in the area now. A little pricy, but understandable given high season timing.

8/2010. Nicely remodeled. Comfortable bed and pillows. Nice that it had a separate sitting area with kitchen/desk area. Sofa had a pullout sleeper, which was nice for our toddler (without having to ask for a crib). Air is controlled by the wall mounted thermostat which was a plus. Nice pool area. We enjoyed our stay. Rooms were clean, well equipped. Breakfast and snacks were nice. Good access to beach, and close to sites in Beaufort and Morehead City.

We had a great time there, the staff was friendly, but the room was only cleaned once in our four days there. No other complaints at all. That was our third time staying there and we plan on staying there again in the future...

Everything about this hotel is great. The rooms are spacious, great matress and big flat panel tv. All around excellent stay.

We were really satisfied with our stay here. You could walk to the beach. The room was very clean and comfortable. The service was friendly. Their breakfast buffet was pretty good, the coffee available 24/7 was great! Really enjoyed our stay here!! Definitely recommend it to others!!!

The location of the hotel was wonderful. It was great for visiting the aquarium and Fort Macon. The only issue we had was the beds were very firm so we did not sleep well at all.
