room was in poor condition. Bathroom falling apart, room keys would not open outside doors and hotel is understaffed. Had to wait at the counter every time you went there for something.

I was skeptical about this hotel but in the end it was a great choice. The accommodations were nice. The only drawback are the thin walls. Room was a little smaller than I expected.

It was a nice stay. Hotel staff was nice. Just came for a nice evening to relax.

Hotel claims to be 10 min from anywhere. This is a little off. It is an average hotel but the location in the univercity area is too far from airport and downtown.

Very poor remodell. terible breakfast. no gym.

This hotel has a great location since you can walk to UNCC.The price is fair comparing with other hotels in the same area. I have lived here two times. The first time I cam, everything was perfect. However, this time I was not satisfied. The smell everywhere was not good. If the smell was Ok, I would give it 3 stars not two.

i can not think of anything that would have made the stay better good job

Clean well maintained room. Room a little small but ok. Breakfast very unhealthy.

We booked this hotel online but did not stay the night. There were loud people in and surrounding the hotel, and it didn't see to be very safe or inviting. There was dried blood on a couch cushion in our room, so we checked out about 20 minutes after arriving and went about a mile away to stay at the Hampton Inn. The hotel pictures and reviews were deceiving after checking in. We checked out after arriving because we did not feel safe. The low rate was not worth compromising our feeling of the lack of safety.

We enjoyed our stay for the most part. The hotel, overall, was clean and in good condition. The breakfast items tasted fresh every morning and there was always plenty available. There was an unsightly stain on the wall in the restroom of our room though. Our room door did not close easily, as it kept getting stuck on the carpeting. The only problem with our room was that the chair in the room was very dirty and in need of cleaning.

We thought the hotel was very clean and the employees were very helpful and pleasant. The major issue we had was the lack of privacy. We heard everyone that walked by our door and everything they were saying. Plus, you could hear street traffic.

The dead bolt on the door didn't work and at 6:30 A.M. Our door was opened by someone,and the safety lock was the only thing that prevented them from entering.

My stay at Charlotte University Place Microtel was nice - Small room, but great location/ very clean/ good value. Excellent for a Single traveler - not large enough for family or group.

Close location to malls and Motor Speedway - plenty of restaurants - easy access to Interstate - small rooms but great if just for sleeping - friendly staff.

Well worth the money but the rooms are the size of dorms. Free continental breakfast and real comfy pillow top beds.

Room was adequate. Smoky odor in non-smoking room. Hotel tucked away and hard to find.

Like, hallways that need to be cleaned/painted, one working ice machine for all three floors?..and a toilet that runs all night....wouldn't you think that the owner would notice these things and do something about it?

When we first checked in our room was fine until I went to the restroom. There were some brown stains inside the bath tub and against the wall. Obviously housekeeping did not clean the restroom because they would have seen that, but there were clean towers with hair on them. I'm bald so I know it wasn't mine. Brought this to the attention of the front […] desk and was moved to a new room. That room was fine except the toilet constantly ran. Every time I had remove the lid and fix the problem. This hotel was very poor. They promised me a particular room and amenities and then gave me something else. Hotel.com said it was the hotels fault and the micro inn said it was hotel com fault no one would help me and had to ask for towels and pillows four tomes. Overall it was not a *horrible* stay. However there were several notable issues. 1) the bed was broken and had a significant slope to it 2) light fixtures were hanging down out of the ceiling 3) the smoke alarm had been dismantled and was in a drawer 4) the AC's thermostat could not have been working, it was always very hot or extremely cold 5) the […] AC was VERY loud 6) the toilet seat was broken 6) the shower curtain rod was broken 7) the office chair was missing a leg and caused a pretty bad fall when I sat down. The room was very clean and the service was excellent. If you need a room in this part of Charlotte, this is the one.

This hotel was a good place to stay cheaply for one night. The bed was comfortable and the continental breakfast was decent. I went to a show at the Verizon Wireless ampitheater and only wished that the hotel was closer to the venue. I was hoping to walk but it was a 3 mile walk on a busy street with no sidewalks.The city bus would have been a cheap […] option but it only went a mile down the road and a cab charged $15 for two people before tip. The elevator was out of order but otherwise this worked out great for me.

Over the course of the 3 days there, I was treated fantastic. But I believe the best part of all was that the the ladies behind the counter took the time to give me directions on where I needed to go as well as printing them out for me.
