Best Western Plus Victoria Park Suites in Ottawa

Wij verbleven een nacht in dit hotel. Het is een wat verouderd hotel. De bedden waren prima maar de rest van de kamer was standaard. Ook geen ontbijt inbegrepen. Wij kenden Ottawa niet dus dachten dat dit hotel centraal zou liggen. Dat is zeker niet het geval. Het hotel ligt toch zeker wel een half uur lopen vanaf het centrum. Ottawa zelf is trouwens […] niet echt heel erg de moeite waard om een nacht te verblijven. Wij hadden dit hotel geboekt op doorreis naar Algonquin. Prima hotel en alle bezienswaardigheden in Ottawa zijn op loop afstand en genoeg restaurants in de buurt. Alleen jammer dat er voor het parkeren in het hotel betaald moet worden.

de kwaliteit van de service was alleen minder omdat we pizza besteld hadden en ons vertelden dat ze het op de kamer af zouden leveren. ze zeiden dat we tel niet bereiken waren en de pizza man haast had. de pizza bleef zodoende bij de receptie staan en wij Aten uiteindelijk koude pizza. oorzaak te weinig mensen aan de balie 's avonds

Stayed on business and enjoyed the hotel. A quality breakfast was included and the property was very clean. Good shower which is one of my usual pet-peeves. Good restaurants and pubs within walking distance on Bank Street.

The rooms are fantastic in this hotel. Service very good too. Same quality as rooms you would find in much more expensive 4 star hotels. And very clean. Everything good with one exception. Paid for indoor parking. Came home about 10:45 p.m. and there was no space left in garage. Another person was driving around with the same problem. Complimentary continental breakfasts were delicious and plentiful. I particularly liked the feature of being able to select time and scope of housekeeping with a door card each day, which I wish all hotels would have.

The room was comfortable and clean. The Front desk was helpful and efficient. The bed was comfortable, the complimentary Globe and Mail was nice and the parking was easy. The wifi was a little slow but not unusual. We would come back.

Our stay was just for one night, but everything was more than satisfactory. Didn't get a chance to use any other amenities, so can't comment on those.The staff were polite and helpful and the room and bathroom was clean. Breakfast which was included was a nice bonus.

The hotel was a 1/2 hour walk to Parliament Hill and Bytown Market. Complimentary breakfast was basic but more than adequate, including eggs, bagels, sausage patties, fruit salad, yoghurt. Underground arking, which was cost extra, was secure and convenient. Room was spacious and clean, with small fridge and microwave. Staff were friendly.

There were little touches that made this hotel superb for me. - I could listen to my iPod and use it to wake me up in the morning on their iPod compatible alarm clock. (I really, really liked this because usually the radio reception stinks on the clock radio). - The radio, by luck or design, was tuned to CBC Radio 2 so I got local news, as well as […] good radio. - Room safe for your valuables. - Power bar that was easily accessible on the desk in the room to plug in my laptop, cell phone, etc. - All of these rooms also have a mini-kitchen that is well stocked with glass (not plastic), microwave, sink, etc. - Gender specific sauna off of the workout area on the top floor. Nice touch. Need to go a little ahead of time to turn it on if you think you're going to use it though as it's not always on (that would be a waste of electricity). It heated up quickly while I was working out and there's a shower a mere two feet away. I walked down to the eternal flame on Parliament Hill and Byward Market. There was lots to see and do in the neighbourhood, a grocery store and liquor store nearby, a YMCA (wish I would have brought my membership card) and public transit is pretty amazing. I saw some comments that people thought it was a sketchy neighbourhood - I didn't think so at all. It's not suburbia and so cleansed of all urban life. We loved the actual hotel for its cleanliness and I have stayed at alot of Best Westerns in Canada and all through the USA, but our room was very very dry and HOT!! We were there in mid November so it was cold outside.The water from the shower was just a dribble and it took a couple of minutes for the hot water to actually turn warm. The last day my […] husband had a cool shower because there was no hot water at all. We went to the front desk to let them know about the hotness of the room and the shower on the 2nd day. When we arrived back there was a notice that said it had been fixed and for a couple of hours it wasn't as hot but every morning we woke up with dry sore throats (we had to turn the heat right off but the baseboard element was still burning hot????) The shower was exactly the same and we only had 1 more night so we figured we could make it through. When we checked out I let them know at the front desk about all the problems and maintenace saying it was fixed and it wasn't and the lady did apoligize. This is a good hotel at a reasonable price in a convenient location within easy walking distance of everything in downtown Ottawa. Our only complaint was that the room was too warm - had to run the air conditioning in November! Warm air came in around the poorly sealed door to the hallway. Breakfast was good - real china and cutlery, not plastic.

We were really pleased with the Best Western. We had booked two rooms and when we checked in, one was up-graded to a suite. My girlfriend and I enjoyed our stay at this hotel thoroughly. From the start, the reception staff received us warmly, which was especially nice considering the chilly November evenings. While the breakfast spread may not be the greatest in variety, the hotel made up by providing excellent quality as well as constant refills, ensuring that we did not have to wait long for the hot piping French Toasts. As my girlfriend and I had wanted to leave Ottawa in the evening and still spend the afternoon touring, the staff was more than helpful in making arrangements such as storing our luggages and ensuring that everything was good to go. The breakfast included in the price of our room was a very good add-on to the cost of staying here. The location was excellent to catch Event Bus 401 to go out to Kanata to see shows at Scotiabank Place. Ottawa transit Bus #14 was easy to catch to go up to the Parliament Buildings and Rideau centre. Elgin Street with Deli shops and a small wine store […] were just a five minute walk away. Definitely "functional" if you plan to visit the federal parliament area (no need to take the car), some restaurants around. The hotel is clean and you get the value for the money, the breakfast is also very correct.

This hotel was fine. Good value for money and comfortable enough. Location was good for both walking into the city centre (and for a run along the canal too) as well as quick access to the main highway. We were in town visiting universities for the weekend and stayed at this hotel. We found the hotel very clean and comfortable. There was a kitchenette in the room, which was handy for snacks. The hotel is nice, close to Bank Street and downtown. Its clean, friendly etc but its on a main road and I found it REALLY noisy all day and night. It was really hard to sleep, so if you stay, ask for a room that does not face one of the roads.

Walking to parliament hill around 15 minutes, also rideau canal. Public transit very convenient and easy to use. Continental breakfast had good choices. Museum of Man two blocks walk. Quiet neighbourhood at night. Good kitchenette with microwave.

It's a very nice hotel. They have a great complimentary breakfast in the morning including hot items. The rooms are clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful. My only complaint is the parking. Do not bring a large vehicle!!! The parking garage is very cramped and difficult to manouver in when it is full.
