Out of the way if you have things to do in St. Joseph, however, for us, it was a quick and easy way to get on the highway and resume our trip.
"The price was cheap, but so was the room."
We stayed for 3 nights while visiting Missouri Western for Jr Day. The Hotel was just OK. The beds seemed comfortable. They cleaned each day and brought fresh towels. When we checked in, however, the front desk clerk did not let us know any extra information (like what the password for WiFi was or what times or even if they did a breakfast) He also […] seemed to question my reservations so I was very glad I had printed out my confirmation with Hotels.com. The phone in our room had no way to contact the front desk and you could not sit in the chairs. The legs on both were broken. The television and remote left a bit to be desired as well. We always take a fan with us so the noise from the truck stop did not bother us at all. It would be a toss up if we would stay there again when we visit St Joe. we recently spent a weekend in st. joe, mo.and decided to use the super 8. we stay quite often at super 8s and know they can differ quite a lot but we have never been truly unhappy with one. that is until this one! it was noisy from street traffic, but the thing that really did it for us was the so called breakfast! the orange juice and apple juice […] was so watered down that it was flavored water! the coffee was the same and i happen to like mild coffee, just not flavored water. i go to st. joe several times a year but will not stay at this motel again. "Best super 8 ever"
I didn't use this hotel for a getaway, but rather as a travel stop. So I can't comment on neighborhood conveniences. But this was the best super 8 I have ever stayed in. If you need a clean comfy room with excellent check in service even late at night, this is it. Kudos to the owners/ operators.

The only complaint I have about my stay is that the radio/alarm clock in my room did not work. Every thing else was just fine.

The room was okay, except for a few things that were not acceptable. While we were unpacking, we noticed the bathroom floor was dirty & obviously had not been mopped. We asked for housekeeping & they only wiped up one spot. On the second day, we returned after housekeeping had straightened our room to find a dirty rubber glove still sitting on our bathroom […] vanity. The toilet also ran the entire time unless we fixed the flapper every time it was used. We were there 4 days & it wasn't fixed in that time. Lees meer

Overall my husband and I were satisfied with our stay. However, we would have liked to have more than 1 ashtray, and there were cigarette burns in the bed sheets and blanket, not of our doing. Other than that, I would stay there again.

"Nice, but...."
The only real complaint I have is the traffic noise was pretty bad. There is a truck stop in the back of the motel and perhaps that is where it comes from. The property is an older unit, but I think it seemed pretty well maintained. My room was comfortable enough.
