Zeer vriendelijk personeel. Doen ook wat ze beloven. Prima ontbijt en leuke middag recepties met gratis hapjes en drankjes. Is mij erg goed bevallen, en dit is zeker niet de eerste keer dat ik in de USA ben, dus goed vergelijkings-materiaal
Ligging.
The Buena Vista Palace Hotel & Spa ligt in Disney-centrum - Lake Buena Vista in Lake Buena Vista. dit resort is een gezinsvriendelijke accommodatie in de buurt van Downtown Disney area, DisneyQuest en Golfbaan Lake Buena Vista. In de buurt bevinden zich ook Typhoon Lagoon en Orlando Premium Outlets Vineland Ave.
Resortvoorzieningen.
The Buena Vista Palace Hotel & Spa heeft een volledig uitgeruste spa, 3 buitenzwembaden, onoverdekte tennisbanen en een spabad. Tegen betaling van een toeslag kan in alle openbare ruimtes een snelle internetverbinding (draadloos of via kabel) worden aangeboden. De zakelijke voorzieningen bij deze accommodatie met 4 sterren zijn onder andere een businesscentrum, vergaderruimtes voor kleine groepen en een limousine- of autoservice. Dit resort met een spa heeft een restaurant, een koffietentje/café en een bar aan het zwembad. Het personeel kan op verzoek hulp bij excursies/tickets, een huwelijksservice en evenementencatering regelen. Extra voorzieningen zijn onder andere een kinderzwembad, een nachtclub en een spa. Gasten kunnen tegen betaling gebruikmaken van een shuttlebus van en naar het vliegveld (op verzoek). Zelfparkeren is gratis.

Elke kamer heeft een balkon. The Buena Vista Palace Hotel & Spa heeft 1014 kamers met airconditioning die zijn voorzien van een kluisje op de kamer en een waterkoker/koffiezetapparaat. Elke 32-inch flatscreen televisies wordt geleverd met premiumkanalen via satelliet en betaalfilms. Elke accommodatie beschikt over een bureau en een telefoon met meerdere lijnen met voicemail.Gasten hebben gratis (draadloos) breedband internet op de kamer. Alle bedden hebben een pillowtop-matras met luxe beddengoed. Elke badkamer heeft een bad/douchecombinatie met een handdouche en designer toiletartikelen.Extra voorzieningen zijn onder andere make-up-/scheerspiegels en een strijkplank/strijkijzer. Daarnaast zijn op verzoek voorzieningen beschikbaar zoals een turndownservice, hypo-allergeen beddengoed en een telefonische wekdienst. Een huishoudservice is dagelijks beschikbaar.
Afhankelijk van het hotelbeleid kan voor extra personen een toeslag worden aangerekend.

The Spa beschikt over 14 behandelingskamers waaronder kamers voor echtparen. De beschikbare behandelingen zijn massage, gezichtsverzorgende behandelingen, bodywraps en schoonheidsbehandelingen. De spa is uitgerust met een spabad. Je hebt de keuze uit verschillende behandelingstherapieën, waaronder aromatherapie. Bezoekers aan deze spa kunnen hun ontspanningsbehandelingen afronden met een bezoek aan een boutique.
Milieuvriendelijke/duurzame accommodatie - Eigen verklaring
Deze accommodatie heeft via Florida Green Lodging Program een zelfbeoordeling uitgevoerd, ook wel Eigen verklaring genoemd, ten aanzien van haar praktijken op het gebied van duurzaam toerisme en heeft maatregelen genomen om een beter inzicht te krijgen in de impact ervan op onder andere het milieu, de gemeenschap, het cultureel erfgoed en de plaatselijke economie. De beweringen van deze accommodatie zijn niet door middel van een certificatieprogramma van afnemers of derden geverifieerd.
The Buena Vista Palace Hotel & Spa heeft een restaurant. Roomservice (beperkte uren) is beschikbaar.

In de winkels zijn kinderspeelgoed, Harley-Davidson-gareel en handgemaakte sigaren te koop. De andere attracties van het Downtown Disney ®-gebied zijn de nabijheid van niet-Disney- en Disney-golfbanen.

Prima hotel met echt perfecte ligging. Op loop afstand van Downtown Disney. Andere Disney parken zeer snel te bereiken. Maar toch zeer rustig en mooi gelegen. ( veel van de omringende hotels liggen aan drukke weg of met uitzicht op de snelweg ! ) We hebben vier nachten in dit hotel geslapen. Een prettige ruime kamer met klein balkon met zitje, een koelkast […] en 2 queen bedden met goede kwaliteit beddengoed. ( dit laatste klinkt misschien raar maar toch heel belangrijk. we hebben zelfs in zeer luxe resorts geslapen tijdens onze vakantie waar we gewoon waardeloze bedden met veel te kleine lakens hebben gehad. ) We hebben niet echt gebruik gemaakt van de faciliteiten in het hotel. Wel hebben we gegeten in het Outback restaurant. Het eten was goed en er was een zeer prettige atmosfeer. Wel wat prijzig, maar je kunt gebruik maken van een kortingscoupon. Belangrijk nadeel was wel dat er een verbindingsdeur was met een andere kamer. hierdoor hadden we veel geluidsoverlast. Ook hebben we een toen we incheckten een kamer gewijgerd omdat deze tegenover de ijsmachine ruimte lag die flink wat herrie maakte. Toch al met al een zeer prettig hotel dat we zeker aan kunnen bevelen. Lees meer
"Hotel Buena Vista Resort & Spa Orlando"
Top hotel met een goede service, mooie kamers en een fantastische ligging bij Downtown Disney. Goede uitvalsbasis voor alle pretparken in de omgeving. Mooi zwembad. Erg vriendelijk personeel, kortom een aanrader! Zal er zeker weer heengaan als ik weer in Orlando kom.

we had a great stay loved the staff however what botherd me was one unclean towel and resort fee which i was not openly told about . they gave me a pamphlet and I dont think any body who just came from a tiredsome trip would read it . they should just advice you of the fee other than that it was a great hotel and i really liked it .
"My stay and my over view"
The quality of my staff was ok. I was was not 100% satisfied because when I check in the customer service from the front desk didn't not let us know about the extra bill that the hotel charges after you check in! The room was clean, but the sheets had holes and you can hear people clearly in your room. So, if your looking for a quiet place this is not […] the hotel you would want to stay in. "Good hotel if you're on business ..."
This felt like a conference hotel. If you're there on business, it's a great place to stay. You get access to Downtown Disney at night -- have a nice place to sleep at night and can go to their conference center during the day. If you're travelling for fun -- there are many more better options taht are priced better and don't charge $6.95 for a liter […] of water (which in humid, hot Florida -- ought to be ILLEGAL!) The fees at this resort are really high ... and the other downtown Disney hotels don't charge them. I kept going over to Wyndham to get drinks and snacks (I didn't have a car) ... selection was better there, and cheaper. So -- unless you're travelling for business, recommend, passing on the Palace. I stayed on this hotel before and the last time it was a horrible experience with the room, the air conditioner not working, but I wanted to give another try, and this time again disappointed, the room was dirty, the staff not to friendly. Never again.

The hotel is beautiful!!! This great looking and extremely comfortable hotel is just perfect to stay only minutes away from Disney parks and across the street from downtown Disney. 24 hour available pool which is an incredible point to make. "Disappointed"
The room was not fully clean when we arrived, even though the front desk said it was. The sink was dirty and there was soap left in the soap dish. It also looked like someone had just gone to the bathroom. The maid service was knocking on our door at 8:30 in the morning even though I was checking out that day. We just got back from a 1 night stay (04/28/2012) at The Buena Vista Palace Hotel & Spa. Since we are Florida residents and frequent visitors to Disney we have stayed at many different hotels/condos. This is the nicest hotel in the Disney/Orlando area that we have ever stayed at. Based on previous reviews we felt pretty confident booking our reservation […] and definitely were not disappointed when we checked in. "Awesome hotel"
Loved the hotel. The front desk staff was very helpful and even found a room for me since I arrived a day ahead of schedule. In fact they upgraded me to a suite. On a side note, I know this sounds silly but this is the first place that I've stayed at that doesn't provide shower caps. The only thing they need to really work on is their housekeeping staff. […] I think they need more customer service training. So this is what happened, I heard a knock on my door and answered it and there stood a lady just staring at me not saying a word. Now it was easy to surmise that she was housekeeping but when I asked her if she was needing something she still said nothing. Maybe she didn't speak English either way it was just weird, the blank stare and all. In the grand scheme of things though this was a minor hickup to my entire stay. Lees meer

We will never stay anywhere else this Hotel had everything we wanted and what a nice place.. It is well worth the money. It is across from Disney Mart where we ended up most nights and you can walk there, […] which was a bonus. The staff members were all very friendly and helpful and I would highly recommend not only the Buena Vista Palace Hotel & Spa but also using Hotels.com.

"5th Floor Soak"
The overall stay was a sad event for our family. It was annoying to have air fans blowing throughout the 5th floor in an attempt to dry out a plumbing issue. The whole level smelled of must no matter how much air fresheners the hotel staff sprayed/poured around. It was also a pain in the bottom to escort two children through the middle of the hallway […] while plumbing repair was attempted over our two night stay. It was very nice. A little smaller than I expected. Was only disappointed by the fact it was my birthday and anniversary and stated this when I made my reservation and the hotel did nothing to acknowledge that. Overall, lovely experience.

"Great beds but the room and hotel are very worn"
While the beds are fantastic, the rooms and hotel are very worn. Cleanliness is not high on the priority list, I beleive. The rugs on the stairs leading to the spa had huge stains all up and down. Our room was moderately clean. Mold on the shower curtain, tile floor was prety dirty, hair on the webtv keyboard, and our coffee pot never got cleaned the […] entire stay. While the location to events makes it a plus, I feel the hotel needs to be updated and cleaned. Lees meer

The hotel was very nice, convenient to the parks, and clean. The buses to the parks ran very regularly which was great. Parking at Disney is $14/day, so it was nice to avoid that. My only complaints are that there is a $16.95/day resort fee added later, which is closer to$20 with tax. Also, while parking is free, it is only if you park yourself and […] the lot is a bit of a walk. If you valet at the entrance, it's $16/day. Our room was very nice and immaculately clean but (and I've never had this happen) the half of the bed by the phone and alarm (obviously the most used) was saggy while the other side was perfect and comfortable. You would think they would rotate the mattresses, The differences between the two sides was night and day. Lees meer

"Great spa svcs"
The location was great. Spa was awesome. Staff wonderful. However rooms are very noisy. You can here doors slamming every time people leave there rooms and you can hear all conversations held inside room door

"Nice hotel, Disney expensive."
The hotel is nice, the beds are comfy. View left something to be desired. We were charged an extra fee that wasn't clear when we set up our reservations. Any extras (such as room service) are way over-priced.

As we had 3 rooms, this added considerably to the overall cost of the accomodation - the hotel insisted that this was communicated to us at the time of the booking - no doubt in the small print T&Cs, but it was not […] obvious from anything we received from hotels.com nor the hotel that this would be the case. Not entirely sure that the hotel was good value for money given this extra cost, would be more inclined to book a villa for future trips! Lees meer

Great location, very nice hotel. Only prob is its a real hike to the parking lot if your staying on the island.
